Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AAPL Options & More

Apple, Inc. AAPL

Our more seasoned readers will remember a time when we almost exclusively talked about microcaps trading on the OTC, but a few years ago, we decided to go to where the real money was, and have since focused primarily on quick-strike options trading opportunities. It was with AAPL that we got our sea legs in options trading, and it has been a heck of a ride since.

We’re coming back to AAPL once again to use the spike in trading activity associated with the company’s Q3 earnings beat to try to score some nice gains. The stock is gapping up into blue skies here in the premarket after rising to record high valuation, just a stone’s throw from a TRILLION dollar market cap!

We’re going to be monitoring the AAPL Weekly $195-200 Calls to try to score some nice chances this midweek.

SodaStream International, Inc. SODA

Speaking of earnings beats, SodaStream just reported on its Q2 figures, and is shining in the premarket on the heels of a strong showing and boosted guidance for the future.

We’ll look to take advantage of this situation as well, by earmarking the SODA Weekly $99-105 Calls for observation this morning.

Whirlpool Corp WHR

On Friday, we selected a range of options in the Whirlpool chain, the 08/03 $129-131 Calls, and we wanted to swing back around this morning in order to go over the success we had with those plays.
.
In just a few days time, each set of contracts has made considerable multi-bag moves, which have been as follows:

$129 Calls – Range: .96-2.05 – Max Gain: 114%
$130 Calls – Range: .68-2.20 – Max Gain: 224%
$131 Calls – Range: .55-1.27 – Max Gain: 131%

Judging by the activity thus far, we’re going to want to continue to stay on top of these calls for the remainder of the week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: HAS, ABM Options & More

Hasbro Inc. HAS – Options Idea

To start things off this morning, we are looking toward the Hasbro options chain, following the company’s earnings report this morning revealed Q2 beats on sales, profits, and revs.

The stock is gapping up here in the premarket, and we’re going to want to be ready with an options idea for possible quick strike gains to kick off the week. We’re going to track the HAS Weekly $102-105 Calls, and attempt to continue to fantastic options success we have recently enjoyed.

ABM Industries, Inc. ABM

Speaking of fresh options ideas, we’re interested in ABM from a technical standpoint, and will be monitoring the activity in the ABM 08/17 $30-35 Calls.

As you can see on the following chart snapshot, we have a number of favorable indicators in play. In addition to a strong double bottom signal, and a MACD on the verge of going bullish, the stock just last week cracked and managed to hold support at its 50DMA. The RSI is also on the cusp of breaking the 50-line.

All in all, a positive move of at least a few dollars seems very possible, and would likely produce some good chances in our designated calls in that event.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DRI Review & More

Darden Restaurants, Inc. DRI

On occasion, we’ll see an opportunity for a longer term move in a stock, and instead of signaling weekly options, we’ll select a later expiration date. This is what occurred with DRI, when we signaled the DRI 07/20 $100-115 Calls back on the 22nd of last month.

After roughly three weeks, DRI has done little else other than continue to climb, and it has provided some really great chances thus far in these contracts that are set to expire this Friday.

Here are the total gains that have been made possible by this idea to date:

$100 Calls – Range: 3.00-12.30 – Max Gain: 310%
$105 Calls – Range: .90-7.30 – Max Gain: 711%
$110 Calls – Range: .30-2.50 – Max Gain: 733%
$115 Calls – Range: .05-.55 – Max Gain: 1000%

Biocept, Inc. BIOC

We also want to track back to our tag of BIOC from Friday. The stock had been showing the beginnings of some bottom bounce activity earlier in the week, and our hunch that further gains were possible turned out to be correct.

BIOC traded in a daily range from 7.06 on up to a high of 12.15, which represented an intraday pop of 72% on Friday.
