Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Winning Pick Roundup

Winning Pick Roundup

Despite the traditional holiday tax-loss selling season and generally subdued atmosphere that inherently goes along with it, we’ve managed to round up a fair queue of winning selections. We’ve touched on options plays, ETNs, and stocks; surprisingly it is the stocks that are making moves during this short trading week. Take a look at the plays we’ve been tracking and the kinds of moves they’ve made for us.

FXCM, Inc. FXCM

As we were mentioning in yesterday’s premarket report, we began following FXCM two weeks ago and subsequent to that, would witness a low of 6.68 in the stock. Even after showing us a 196% pop, it wasn’t finished yet.

Yesterday the stock made an appreciable intraday move from 16.80 to 20.36, which represents a 21% jump; quite impressive for a stock in such a price range.

______

Swift Energy Co. SFYW

We placed SFYW on watch a week ago today, and it too has made some notable leaps during that time. From the low we observed on the day we began to track it (.065), it has managed to soar 82% to a high of .118 during yesterday’s session.

We’ll remain interested for as long as the stock continues to establish higher base levels of support moving forward.

______

Hybrid Coating Technology, Inc. HCTI

HCTI made an appearance in yesterday’s premarket extended watchlist and anyone who was paying attention had a chance to bank a nice profit on the day.

From a low of .0015 the stock rushed to a daily high of .0021, which works out to an intraday spike of 40% It also closed at the high-of-day, and whenever we see that, we’ll always reserve a space on our watchlist the following day for the possibility of what we refer to as momentum carryover.

______

Sunshine Biopharma, Inc. SBFM

SBFM was the other play from our extended watchlist yesterday that ended up turning some heads in the early part of the day. From morning lows of .008, the stock cracked into Pennyland, reaching a high of .0183 by lunchtime. That registered as a 129% intraday swing so congrats to anyone who was in on the action!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: UGAZ, FXCM Update & More

VelocityShares 3X Long Natural Gas ETN  (UGAZ)

In what is shaking out to be a characteristically slow short week for stocks in general, we’re going to adjust our focus a bit and turn to UGAZ. This triple-leveraged natural gas bull ETN has been gaining momentum and rebounding nicely off of its recently-established 52-week lows.

We’ll look for UGAZ to continue registering higher lows and higher highs, and make its way toward the 50DMA of 3.06. As we’ve pointed out on the chart below, there are a number of bullish indicators drawing our attention.

We’d also consider this idea to have a seasonal advantage as we are heading into the two coldest months of the year; the time when natural gas consumption rate is at its annual peak. We’ll eagerly place this note on watch in coming weeks to see how it responds to rising natural gas demand.

FXCM, Inc. FXCM

We placed FXCM on watch exactly two weeks ago and at the time, we observed a low of 6.68 in the stock and it never looked back. In the ten sessions since that alert, it has made some very impressive leaps and bounds.

The activity culminated in a new milestone for FXCM during yesterday’s session as it reached as high as 19.74, which represented a remarkable swing of 196%

Recent Recovery Plays

As it turns out, Friday was a good day for us in terms of spotting stocks coming off of their recent relative lows that were ripe for a rebound. We tagged both APDN and MIL in that report, and in both cases we’ve seen extended signs of recovery.

Applied DNA Sciences, Inc. APDN – We’ve been familiar with APDN for quite some time, and were prompted to include it on Friday as a bottom-watch play after Thursday’s session had sent it hurtling off a cliff. Our observed low on Friday was 3.28, and as of yesterday high mark of 4.56, we had witnessed a 39% rebound.

MFC Industrial, Ltd. MIL – With MIL, we’ve seen a modest, yet healthy two-session swing of 13% ranging from Friday’s low of 2.63 to yesterday’s high of 2.97. We’re going to be very interested to follow its progress in the days ahead, as the chart still appears bullish.

In both cases, we’ll be looking for continued signs of strength with the recording of higher highs and higher lows going forward.

The Pot is Hot: Cannabis Sector Resurgence

We included Hemp, Inc. HEMP in yesterday’s premarket report as a result of the momentum that we’d noticed building up in the stock on Friday.

As our longtime readers are aware, we’ve been heavy followers of the cannabis space since its emergence a few years ago. While HEMP was the most actively traded stock on the OTC markets yesterday, we also saw a number of our other old favorites in the sector showing signs of renewed vigor as well. Among those were MJNA, GRNH, CBIS, MDBX, ERBB, TRTC.

We prepared a quick video containing some thoughts on the situation that we’d like to share, so be sure check it out:

Yesterday’s Other Winners:

Barfresh Food Group, Inc. BRFH – We tagged BRFH yesterday both for the positioning of the chart and the substance of the PR (link below)that the company released in the premarket. The result was a 22% intraday swing from .74-.90. This play will remain on our radars as the week progresses.

Western Graphite, Inc. WSGP – WSGP was another good call, as this super-subpenny performed an impressive dip-and-rip which culminated in an impressive intraday swing. After touching a low of .0003, we saw WSGP run as high as .0007; which registers as a 133% pop.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Revisiting the Cannabis Sector

Marijuana Sector Heating Up Again

Last year at this time, we were in the midst of one of the most exciting times for an individual sector that we’ve ever witnessed. You’ll recall that the 2014 New Year brought the beginning of the first legal recreational marijuana sales in Colorado, and as a result the interest in cannabis and related stocks went absolutely through the roof. The months-long free-for-all was punctuated by dozens of ‘pot plays’ making astronomical gains, and it went down in the books as one of the most exciting mega-trends we’ve ever lived through.

While we don’t expect to see anything of that hype-fueled magnitude this year, we did notice a significant rise in activity in several of the marijuana stocks that we’ve tracked all throughout 2014 ramping up at the end of last week, so we thought this morning would be a good time to call some attention back to the legal/medical cannabis arena.

Friday’s list of gainers read like a symbol-for-symbol recap of our pot stock watchlist. Among those, the most impressive were ones that we are used to seeing make incredible moves:

HEMP, CBIS, MJNA, EAPH, GRNH, MCIG, ERBB, & TRTC

*If you’d like to inspect our history with each stock, you can check the archives by typing bluehorseshoestocks.com/tag/____  and replacing the blank space with whichever symbol you’d like to pull up. It will furnish you with a chronological listing of each article that we posted on a given stock. (Note that this method can be used for any symbol we’ve ever covered, making us 100% transparent- just another reason why we feel our newsletter is the best around)

We will continue to make the monitoring of the cannabis sector a high priority for us as we settle into the New Year. More and more initiatives are being voted on all the time, and as we’ve been saying since 2012, the legalization of marijuana throughout the United States is going to play out like a domino effect. With measures having passed already in a handful of states, and several more slated to address  various degrees of the issue on impending ballots, the landscape of the industry should be expected to change and grow dramatically into the foreseeable future. Like always, we’ll be ready to capitalize on that growth as it happens.

Energous Corp. WATT

We also want to do a quick follow-up on WATT, a stock that we initially tagged on Wednesday Dec. 24th at a low of 8.40 and the stock has been on an overall uptrend in the five sessions since that time.

On Friday the stock managed to close in the 11.30’s and in the premarket today, we have seen trades go off as high as 12.65; that marks an increase over our observed low totaling 51%, so big congratulations are in order for anyone that has been tracking this play along with us.

There’s also some news out today about an agreement with an established electronics company that could help WATT speed up its wireless charging solution’s path to market. That’s a story we will definitely need to monitor moving forward:

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PZOO Recap, Marijuana Legalized in Two More States

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

PZOO continues to command our attention this week; for those of you who may not remember, we introduced this play on October 20th at which time it was trading hands at a low of .0225.

The last time we looked in on PZOO, it had been making progress, and we mentioned that our key area of resistance was at .038. Yesterday’s session brought a break of that barrier, as we saw the stock run up to a new high of .042. That marks an 87% overall move up over a span of a dozen sessions.  As it stands now, the next primary area of resistance the stock has to contend with sits at a nickel.

The surge on the chart is just one of the developments which has occurred in the weeks since we first caught it. The company also announced the expansion of its online information network with the introduction of new portals at PAZOOFINANCE.COM and PAZOOFITNESS.COM.

In addition, we received an update on Pazoo’s connection to the medical marijuana sector, cannabis testing firm MA & Associates. First announced on Monday, the firm has linked up with Steep Hill Labs, which already operates testing facilities in other states. MA & Associates will be dually billed as Steep Hill Nevada, and has just received the green-light from the State of Nevada, becoming  one of the first testing facilities to receive an official State License to test and analyze medical marijuana for Nevada’s recently-adopted program. >> Official PR

Marijuana Initiatives Pass in AK, OR & D.C.

Over the last few months, we’ve frequently been reminding our readers to pay attention to votes on cannabis initiatives that were coming up in several jurisdictions. On Tuesday, voters in two more states and the nation’s capital (pending congressional approval) green-lighted recreational marijuana.

It’s going to accelerate the spread of what we’ve been calling the beginning of the end for pot prohibition, not to mention shine an even brighter light on the cannabis sector, which has already begun to pick up steam of late.

Each time marijuana proponents strike a victory blow, we share in the satisfaction. After all, we’ve been touting the sector for even longer than the mainstream media. Our coverage spans further back than even the first passed measures, all the way back to 2012. We’ll be sure to keep following the whole story along with our mammoth list of tracked pot stocks, and pass along any developments to you.

Morning Gappers:

Vapor Corp. VPCO

YOU On Demand Holdings, Inc. YOD

We caught both of these stock gapping up in the premarket this morning that we think are worth watching as the session kicks off. VPCO is gapping up approximately 8% while YOD is up a full 15% in early trading.
