Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Revisiting the Cannabis Sector

Marijuana Sector Heating Up Again

Last year at this time, we were in the midst of one of the most exciting times for an individual sector that we’ve ever witnessed. You’ll recall that the 2014 New Year brought the beginning of the first legal recreational marijuana sales in Colorado, and as a result the interest in cannabis and related stocks went absolutely through the roof. The months-long free-for-all was punctuated by dozens of ‘pot plays’ making astronomical gains, and it went down in the books as one of the most exciting mega-trends we’ve ever lived through.

While we don’t expect to see anything of that hype-fueled magnitude this year, we did notice a significant rise in activity in several of the marijuana stocks that we’ve tracked all throughout 2014 ramping up at the end of last week, so we thought this morning would be a good time to call some attention back to the legal/medical cannabis arena.

Friday’s list of gainers read like a symbol-for-symbol recap of our pot stock watchlist. Among those, the most impressive were ones that we are used to seeing make incredible moves:

HEMP, CBIS, MJNA, EAPH, GRNH, MCIG, ERBB, & TRTC

*If you’d like to inspect our history with each stock, you can check the archives by typing bluehorseshoestocks.com/tag/____  and replacing the blank space with whichever symbol you’d like to pull up. It will furnish you with a chronological listing of each article that we posted on a given stock. (Note that this method can be used for any symbol we’ve ever covered, making us 100% transparent- just another reason why we feel our newsletter is the best around)

We will continue to make the monitoring of the cannabis sector a high priority for us as we settle into the New Year. More and more initiatives are being voted on all the time, and as we’ve been saying since 2012, the legalization of marijuana throughout the United States is going to play out like a domino effect. With measures having passed already in a handful of states, and several more slated to address  various degrees of the issue on impending ballots, the landscape of the industry should be expected to change and grow dramatically into the foreseeable future. Like always, we’ll be ready to capitalize on that growth as it happens.

Energous Corp. WATT

We also want to do a quick follow-up on WATT, a stock that we initially tagged on Wednesday Dec. 24th at a low of 8.40 and the stock has been on an overall uptrend in the five sessions since that time.

On Friday the stock managed to close in the 11.30’s and in the premarket today, we have seen trades go off as high as 12.65; that marks an increase over our observed low totaling 51%, so big congratulations are in order for anyone that has been tracking this play along with us.

There’s also some news out today about an agreement with an established electronics company that could help WATT speed up its wireless charging solution’s path to market. That’s a story we will definitely need to monitor moving forward:

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PZOO Recap, Marijuana Legalized in Two More States

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

PZOO continues to command our attention this week; for those of you who may not remember, we introduced this play on October 20th at which time it was trading hands at a low of .0225.

The last time we looked in on PZOO, it had been making progress, and we mentioned that our key area of resistance was at .038. Yesterday’s session brought a break of that barrier, as we saw the stock run up to a new high of .042. That marks an 87% overall move up over a span of a dozen sessions.  As it stands now, the next primary area of resistance the stock has to contend with sits at a nickel.

The surge on the chart is just one of the developments which has occurred in the weeks since we first caught it. The company also announced the expansion of its online information network with the introduction of new portals at PAZOOFINANCE.COM and PAZOOFITNESS.COM.

In addition, we received an update on Pazoo’s connection to the medical marijuana sector, cannabis testing firm MA & Associates. First announced on Monday, the firm has linked up with Steep Hill Labs, which already operates testing facilities in other states. MA & Associates will be dually billed as Steep Hill Nevada, and has just received the green-light from the State of Nevada, becoming  one of the first testing facilities to receive an official State License to test and analyze medical marijuana for Nevada’s recently-adopted program. >> Official PR

Marijuana Initiatives Pass in AK, OR & D.C.

Over the last few months, we’ve frequently been reminding our readers to pay attention to votes on cannabis initiatives that were coming up in several jurisdictions. On Tuesday, voters in two more states and the nation’s capital (pending congressional approval) green-lighted recreational marijuana.

It’s going to accelerate the spread of what we’ve been calling the beginning of the end for pot prohibition, not to mention shine an even brighter light on the cannabis sector, which has already begun to pick up steam of late.

Each time marijuana proponents strike a victory blow, we share in the satisfaction. After all, we’ve been touting the sector for even longer than the mainstream media. Our coverage spans further back than even the first passed measures, all the way back to 2012. We’ll be sure to keep following the whole story along with our mammoth list of tracked pot stocks, and pass along any developments to you.

Morning Gappers:

Vapor Corp. VPCO

YOU On Demand Holdings, Inc. YOD

We caught both of these stock gapping up in the premarket this morning that we think are worth watching as the session kicks off. VPCO is gapping up approximately 8% while YOD is up a full 15% in early trading.

Marijuana Sector Heating Up

We sincerely hope at least a few of our readers were able to take advantage of our perfectly-timed “Marijuana Sector Reminder” in yesterday’s morning report. Therein we reiterated an earlier warning we issued that the approaching voting season, increased judicial inquiry, and growing acceptance of cannabis could lead to another sectorwide surge.

We went as far as naming a few of our past winners we felt were prime candidates to bring us further opportunities: MJNA, CBIS, HEMP, GRNH, TRTC & ERBB, and we couldn’t have gone wrong with any of them. In a stroke of extreme good fortune, every single one of these plays was sent on a ride yesterday!

MJNA – Range: .155-.18 – Max Gain: 16%

CBIS – Range: .061-.074 – Max Gain: 21%

HEMP – Range: .036-.057 – Max Gain: 58%

GRNH – Range: .134-.225 – Max Gain: 68%

TRTC – Range: .321-.372 – Max Gain: 16%

ERBB – Range: .0167-.0209- Max Gain: 25%

CUMULATIVE TOTAL: +204%

We’re going to continue to keep an eye on the sector as volatility ramps up. We expect to see more good moves from these and other marijuana stocks over the next several weeks, so be sure to stay tuned to our coverage as we follow along with yet another exciting cannabis trend.

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

PZOO continued to fare well on Wednesday, making positive strides in both PPS and volume each day this week since our initial report on Monday.

The stock began at a low of .0225 the first day, broke through its 50DMA trading as high as .031 on Tuesday, and yesterday it pushed its limits even further to .037. That marks a three-day overall increase of 64%

We were pleased to be updated yesterday morning on the build-out status of the marijuana testing facilities being set up by MA & Associates, in which PZOO is a 40% stakeholder. >>VIEW PR

Today, it announced the 3rd installment of Pazoo Radio as well, so in addition to a positive progression on the chart, the company has a lot going on in all other aspects as well, which is why we intend to stay hot on the trail of PZOO for the foreseeable future.

Image Sensing Systems, Inc. ISNS

On Tuesday, we tagged this play stating that we wanted to “reassign ISNS a spot on our speculative watchlist.” as a result of the activity we were seeing as it came off of a bottom. At the time, we observed a low of 2.31, and yesterday, the stock attained a high of 3.46.

That marks a 50% overnight turnaround, so big cheers go out to anyone who hopped on ISNS with us!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PZOO Update, Commenting on the Marijuana Sector

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

So far we’ve been very happy with the way PZOO has performed since we brought it into the mix to start the week. Our assertion that the PZOO chart was on the cusp of making a nice move proved accurate; after starting out at a low of .0225 on Monday, the stock broke through its 50DMA and traded as high as .031 during yesterday’s session (+38%).

Volume picked up as well, with the stock trading 2.6M shares on the day, which works out to more than 3.5X the 3-month average.

So this new play that has us interested on a long-term basis (for reasons stated in our initial report) has also shown that it has some real short-term potential as well. We also caught a fresh PR this morning, which you’ll find below the following snapshot of the PZOO chart:

WHIPPANY, NJ–(Marketwired – Oct 22, 2014) – Pazoo, Inc. (OTCQB: PZOO) (German WKN#: A1J3DK) is pleased to announce its medical marijuana testing laboratory partner MA & Associates, LLC has hired its first lab technician, Mr. Brad Gore. Further, the build-out for the testing facility began last week. Now that the asbestos abatement was done, actual construction to the facility will begin.

MA & Associates, LLC felt it necessary to begin the build-out of the testing facility and to begin hiring all necessary personnel prior to the State of Nevada issuing licenses to qualified applicants on November 3rd >> FULL PR

PZOO is dually involved with the continued development of its health and wellness online portal at PAZOO.COM as well as its majority stake in a medical marijuana testing firm in Nevada. For those who might have missed our special report on the stock Monday, you can find a copy here: PZOO REPORT

Marijuana Sector Reminder

We also want to touch briefly on our ongoing interest in other medical and legal marijuana plays. For over two years we’ve tracked, and continue to monitor the sector as a whole, with huge winners coming in the form of MJNA, CBIS, HEMP, GRNH, TRTC, ERBB, and so many others.

We recently reminded everyone that we’d be on the lookout for the cannabis space to heat up as we approach a voting season with an unprecedented number of marijuana initiatives on ballots across the country.

This Monday, a federal court will hear evidence contesting that the US Government’s classification of marijuana as a Schedule 1 substance (which ridiculously makes it equal to heroin in the eyes of federal law) is unfounded. Several doctors are prepared to challenge the scientific and medical validity of government claims. If truth and reason win the day, it could be a big step toward  furthering the cause of cannabis acceptance nationwide. >>> READ ARTICLE

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Cannabis Stock Resurgence

Marijuana Stocks Making a Comeback

The biggest standout of yesterday’s session was the unmistakable resurgence of the cannabis sector. Many of you will recall that we have tracked this sector throughout the year, and indeed, dating much further back than that. The gains we’ve seen from this market in 2014 have been nothing short of historical. Over the past few months, however, we had been witnessing a huge beatback sector-wide, with pot plays steadily declining across the board.

You can see below from the random chart examples we’ve pulled, that similar action has been occuring in most every related stock. Familiar plays like HEMP, TRTC, and GRNH all exhibit strikingly similar paths. Steady, heavy losses followed by distinct signs of a turnaround.

Presumably the pickup we’re seeing as we head into the end into week’s end is due at least in part to campaign season kicking off for proponents of cannabis in places like Alaska, Florida, Oregon and Washington, D.C, who will all be voting on marijuana initiatives in some form or other on November 4th.

Other states are sure to be paying attention, especially those that are tight on cash. Colorado estimates that tax revenues from its first year of recreational sales stand at $60-70M. Meanwhile, Washington State’s measure roll-out of retail sales continues slowly, with only the second Seattle marijuana outlet scheduled to open up next Tuesday.  In a study conducted by NerdWallet.com, the nationwide legalization of pot would produce over $3B annually.

So here we are, having waited patiently for the marijuana space to begin to heat up again, finally seeing the kind of rebound activity that can provide us with quick in-and-out gains. We’re going to want to watch anything even remotely tied to the industry as voting time draws even closer.
