Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options, News Play & More

Insmed, Inc. INSM – Options Review

We originally submitted our idea for the INSM options chain on Tuesday morning, tagging the INSM 09/15 $27-30 Calls on the heels of the company’s release of promising Phase-3 topline study results for its rare lung disease treatment.

Yesterday morning we updated our readers after the stock had made a marginal move which allowed for notable gains in just one of the four contracts in our observed range. However, we doubled down with our interest in these plays, mentioning that it seemed likely for the stock to provide a better chance at more sweeping gains and that’s just what happened.

The following moves were made yesterday afternoon which facilitated solid potential profits for anyone who was following along with the action. Those highly impressive gains were as follows:

$27 Calls – Range: .95-3.00 – Max Gain: 215%
$28 Calls – Range:  .25-2.00 – Max Gain: 700%
$29 Calls – Range: .40-1.60 – Max Gain: 300%
$30 Calls – Range: .50-1.55 – Max Gain: 210%

Fresh Ideas:
GoPro, Inc. GPRO – Weekly $9.50 & $10 Calls

Trivago N.V. TRVG – 10/20 $15 & 17.50 Calls

NXT-id, Inc. NXTD

We’re seeing a sizable gap-up taking place in the premarket this morning on NXTD. The big boost in activity is stemming from a huge news announcement published today concerning a deal the company struck with Bank of America to get its ‘FitPay’ contact-less device payment solutions installed in more than 9,000 Bank of America ATMs. (>>View PR)

With a blockbuster announcement such as this, we’re definitely going to want to observe the action as we head into week’s end and beyond.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AMZN Review & More

LiNiu Technology Group, Inc. LINU

Among yesterday’s tracked stocks was LINU, which we signaled after noticing some abnormal volume and price action in the previous session.

While the stock didn’t necessarily break out in a big way, the intraday move it did make was reasonably solid. From a low of  1.79, it ran as high as 2.36 on the day, marking a 32% pop. The move came on 39X the monthly average volume, and the stock did hold more than half of its daily advance into a strong close.

With that kind of momentum built up, we’ll certainly want to let LINU remain on our radar in upcoming sessions and look for the continued establishment of higher highs and higher lows.

General Electric Corp. GE

We like the setup on the current GE chart, which as you can see from the included snapshot below, has been pounded down to new lows this week.

We’re always looking to track the potential recoveries of heavily oversold stocks, and GE is certainly in that category. There’s also a sizable gap from July which needs to be filled, as well as some insider buying being logged near these lows last week.

We’ll put this one on watch for what seems like an inevitable rebound, while signaling a pair of options contracts to add to our radars, the GE 11/17 $26 & $27 Calls.

Amazon.com Inc. AMZN

We also have to swing back around to pat ourselves on the back for our options ideas on AMZN, which we submitted on Monday morning.

We noted that the AMZN 10/06 $965-980 Calls should have some nice moves once the stock saw a reversal, and it turned out to be a good hunch. The $965’s traded from 19.25-27.00 (+40%), the $980’s went from 11.39-20.20 (+77%) and the five contracts in the range in between those two all made similar gains.

AMZN is gapping up in the premarket this morning, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see our overall observed gains increase further.

Dextera Surgical, Inc. DXTR

Starting a couple of weeks ago on the 16th, and then again midway through last week, we’ve been signaling DXTR, which was coming up off of recent relative lows just a few sessions earlier.

We wanted to quickly point out its performance over that span, which started from a low of .26 and has run up to new highs in premarket trading today. It’s thus far hit a high of .43, which works out to a respectable two-week swing of 65%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GYST Video, Other Updates

The Graystone Company GYST

Our first order of business this morning is to provide an update on GYST, which was the subject of our special report yesterday. If you did not catch our report, you can do so by hitting the following link >>GYST REPORT

To illustrate GYST’s performance during yesterday’s session, what better way to go over it than a video chart from our very own Stock Sumo! Click through to the video below, and also receive a quick lesson in understanding Level 2 quotes, which is vital for any beginning trader to take the next step!

>>GYST Video

The dip-and-rip we saw in GYST from .007 to .012 represented an intraday upswing of 71%, so, a very good first day of observation. As Stock Sumo was mentioning, we want to see GYST hold support at or above the channel between .0064-.007 on any pullbacks, and will look for an eventual break of resistance at .0125.

OTHER UPDATES:

Viva Entertainment Group, Inc. OTTV -We tagged OTTV in  Friday’s extended watchlist and we wanted to circle back this morning to mention the solid activity that followed from this stock over subsequent sessions.

On Friday, we observed a low of .0004 and witnessed a pretty nice 75% rip to .0007. As of yesterday, OTTV had extended its high to .001, and boosted our three-session observed upswing on the stock to a nice, round 150%
_____

Pilgrim Petroleum Corp. PGPM – For another quick update, we’ve witnessed a pretty good two-day swing in PGPM after alerting it in Tuesday’s premarket report, and observing a low of .011. Yesterday, the stock hit .0183, which was good for a respectable overall move of 66%

Dollar General Corp. DG

We want to leave off this morning with an earnings-related options idea. We’ve had a ton of success this earnings season, and will try to keep that going with Dollar General.

Not only did the company reveal a beat on sales and profits for the quarter, but the current chart setup was already primed for a bullish move. We’ll be putting the DG Weekly $75-78 Calls on watch for potential day and/or swing trades.
