Earnings-Related Options Ideas & More

Monday’s Options Review:

We kicked off the week in solid form in our premarket report yesterday morning, despite lacking a large slate of earnings reporters off of which to base our daily ideas. All three of the quick-strike options targets we offered up for the day turned in winning cards. We had a much longer term with a June expiration as well, but we can come back for those at a later date.

In the meantime, our fresh targets to kick things off on Monday morning were the SPY 05/15 $411-412 Calls, the MNDY Weekly $145-155 Calls, and the SHAK Weekly $66-67 Calls and here are the numbers thy put up for us on the session:

4 Fresh Ideas for a New Trading Week

Friday Options Recap:

It was a little bit of a subdued finish to what was an otherwise fairly exciting week of trading on Friday. We had a limited slate of earnings reporters on the day, but still formed a few ideas that managed to make some early moves. The percentage gains weren’t quite on a level that would get us overexcited, but all contracts involved did make reasonable moves, with one lone exception.

Those ideas that we were tracking were the SPB 05/19 $65-70 Calls, the TSLA Weekly $175-177.50 Calls, and the SPY 05/12 $412.50-413 Calls. Here’s how their early positive movement played out in terms of total possible gains for quick traders:

SPB 05/19 $65-70 Calls
$70: .83-1.69 (+104%)
_____

TSLA Weekly $175-177.50 Calls

$412.50: .20-.36 (+80%)
$413: .13-.24 (+85%)
_____

We’ve also been tracking the IFF 05/19 $95-90 Puts since our report from this past Tuesday the 9th, and IFF continued to decline all week, leading to some really nice new highs in those targets:

IFF 05/19 $95-90 Puts

$90: 1.79-7.20 (+302%)

Reviewing Friday’s Winners, Fresh Plays

Recapping Friday’s Runners:

As our regular readers should know, we focus a lot on quick-strike trading ideas for the SPY, and in typical fashion, we played the SPY successfully quite a bit last week. We hashed out some fresh single-session ideas for it on Friday morning in our premarket report, along with some calls for this week in the WDFC chain.

Both of those sets of targets produced solid results on the day with help from the bullish market performance, which peaked shortly after midday. We were able to observe some multi-bag runs in our SPY calls, and some more modest yet still solid moves from the WD-40 Company.

Those trading ranges and total possible gains were as follows:

SPY 04/08 $448-449 Calls
$448:
 .74-2.90 (+67%)
$449: .50-2.10 (+312%)
_____

WDFC 04/14 $190-200 Calls
$190: 6.65-10.60 (+60%)
$195: 4.11-7.00 (+67%)
$200: 1.51-4.40 (+312%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SPY 04/11 $446-444 Puts
SHAK 06/17 $65 Calls

1812 Brewing Company, Inc. KEGS – News Update:

We also have got another PR update on KEGS this morning, focusing on the execution of the next phase of its plan to clean up the share structure of the company. Last week we passed along the report that KEGS would be undergoing a large reduction in its authorized shares, and this morning, we see that the CEO will be retiring a half a billion common shares from his own holdings.

It’s refreshing to see a company that is so committed to creating shareholder value, and a more attractive prospect for new investors as well. KEGS is on the right track toward marked improvement, and we’ll be along for the ride, monitoring the situation as it continues to unfold.

Watertown, NY, April 11, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — 1812 BREWING COMPANY, INC. (OTC Pink: KEGS) (the “Company”) announced that it has agreed to cancel five hundred million (500,000,000) common stock shares held by its CEO, Tom Scozzafava.  Further, the CEO stated that he could retire or exchanging as many shares that he owns to help increase overall shareholder value regardless.  “My interest is in the long-term viability and growth of the Company, and I am committed to doing what is in the interest of just that.” (>>View Full PR)
