Options, NASDAQ Reviews & Fresh Idea

HEICO Corporation HEI – Options Update:

This week has lived up to the stereotype of a typical holiday trading week between Christmas and the New Year. No one is reporting earnings, not much has been going on, and the opportunities have been much fewer and further between. Today we do have an update on a set of options contracts that we alerted on Tuesday of last week.

We signaled interest in the HEI 01/20 $150 Calls, and they have made a modest but respectable move for us over that time span.

HEI 01/20 $150 Calls
$150:
 3.70-7.50 (+103%)

Fresh Options Idea:
CALM 01/20 $60-57.50 Puts

Kala Pharmaceuticals, Inc. KALA – Recap:

We had placed KALA on watch via yesterday morning’s extended watchlist. Our EW’s often consist of a mix of big board and OTC stocks. In this case, KALA trades on the upper exchange, and yet still managed to explode off of our list with a single-session multibag run yesterday. The stock ran from a low of 6.00 yesterday and has now touched 19.73 in premarket trading today, marking a total rise of 229%

Big Name Earnings Plays on the Board

Monday Options Recaps:

We did our best to kick off another fresh trading week on a high note yesterday morning, although we didn’t quite have much of a slate of big name earning reporters with which to work. In our premarket report, we offered up a group of four potential options plays, and we saw respectable intraday movement from three of them. We would expect today to be a little more exciting, with a much larger selection of earnings dropping in the premarket this morning.

Yesterday’s best opportunities came from the XPO 11/18 $50-52.50 Calls, the EMR Weekly $87-90 Calls, and the GOOG 11/11 $96-97 Calls. The overall intraday ranges and total possible gains that they produced were as follows:

XPO 11/18 $50-52.50 Calls
$50:
 2.93-4.40 (+50%)
$52.50: 1.55-2.88 (+86%)
_____

EMR Weekly $87-90 Calls
$87:
 1.46-2.25 (+54%)
$88: 1.00-1.70 (+70%)
$90: .25-.80 (+220%)
_____

GOOG 11/11 $96-97 Calls

$96: 1.19-1.56 (+31%)

BEKE Review, 4 Fresh Options Plays

BEKE Recap:

With both of the options plays we signaled for observation yesterday morning being of the longer-term variety, we don’t have any immediate turnaround to report on those. However we do have an update on another longer-term options strike that we’ve been watching.

We highlighted the BEKE 09/16 $15-17.50 Calls a little under three weeks ago on the morning of the 23rd, and as we’ve cruised through this trading week en route to their expiration today, we’ve seen these plays make some very respectable moves, even as the landscape for options trading continues to taper as we head through another dry period for reporters.

BEKE 09/16 $15-17.50 Calls
$15:
1.41-3.65 (+70%)
$17.50: .50-1.45 (+191%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SPY 09/16 $387-384 Puts*
FAST 10/21 $47.50-50 Calls
NTLA Weekly $70-65 Puts*
ADBE Weekly $305-300 Puts*

*Please don’t try to trade options on their day of expiration unless you are a well-seasoned trader. Not something for you beginners to attempt just yet, but we’ll get you there!

Nu-Med Plus Inc. NUMD – Recap:

For a more recent rehash, we just signaled NUMD as a potential OTC runner in yesterday morning’s extended watchlist, and the stock responded with quite the solid session. From a daily low of .028 the stock ripped all the way up to a high of .0605, which works out to an intraday pop on the order of a very respectable 116%

Extended Watchlist:
AURI, STEK, GHMP, MGTI, FRTG, RSHN, AAOI, CLEU, SONN, QTNT

XOM Updates, Fresh Ideas

Extended-Term Exxon-Mobil Runners:

With all of the options ideas in yesterday morning’s report being extended-term plays, we don’t yet have much to report in terms of instantaneous gains this morning, but we thought this would be a good opportunity to track back to a previous longer-term idea we had earlier this month which produced reasonable opportunities to profit subsequent to our tag.

We signaled the XOM 09/02 $95-96 Calls exactly two weeks ago today on the morning of August 9th, and over that span they’ve managed to post quite significant increases and profit possibilities for traders, which have been as follows:

XOM 09/02 $95-96 Calls

$95: .80-2.75 (+244%)
$96: .72-2.11 (+190%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
DKS Weekly $111-113 Calls
BEKE 09/16 $15-17.50 Calls
PANW Weekly $550-565 Calls
ZM Weekly $89-86 Puts

Greene Concepts Inc. INKW – Recap:

We first began signaling INKW just over a couple of weeks ago on the morning of the 4th. and have also done so a few times since then. Following that initial alert, we would observe a low of .0056 in this OTC stock, which then went on to make a serious run deep into Pennyland to a high of .0239, marking an extremely commendable 327% run.

Extended Watchlist:
DPLS, CSVI, STEK, ZNOG, ALYI, QTNT, MRIN, WINT, AVYA, INDO, HSDT

A Selection of July Calls & More

Winning Options Review:

We were pleased to start off the short trading week with a bang yesterday, getting right back on track with a couple of options trading ideas that netted some good intraday gain opportunities for anyone who was paying attention. The markets ripped all day long, so it was definitely a good time to go bullish on the SPY.

We did so with the SPY 06/21 $369-371 Calls, and we also stuck in an idea for the one earnings play that stood out to us on the day, the LEN Weekly $64-66 Calls. In both cases, the potential profits reach multibag territory. Those moves were as follows:

SPY 06/21 $369-371 Calls
$369:
 3.76-7.43 (+98%)
$370: 2.88-6.52 (+126%)
$371: 2.59-5.50 (+112%)
_____

LEN Weekly $64-66 Calls

$64: 1.90-4.03 (+112%)
$65: 1.88-4.00 (+113%)
$66: 1.05-3.23 (+208%)

Fresh Options Ideas:

We’re in the midst of an earnings drought that is going to persist for at least a few more weeks, but we’re still trucking right along, working with what we’ve got. Today’s earnings play that stands out in the premarket is from the Winnebago chain, while we’ve also noticed some insider buying near the bottom on NLOK.

WGO 07/15 $45-50 Calls
NLOK 07/15 $24-25 Calls
FL 07/15 $31-32 Calls

Revlon, Inc. REV – Recap:

We’ve also got an update on Revlon, which we tagged for observation on Friday morning. The stock has followed that alert up with two nice sessions in a row now. Our observed range for that period is 2.73-6.95 (+155%) This morning’s premarket high of 8.39 marks an overall increase of 207% over just a few trading days!
