Yesterday’s Hitters, Today’s New Ideas

Tuesday’s Big Plays:

Things continued to go rather well for us on the options trading front yesterday. We stick our necks out to come up with quality trading ideas on a daily basis, and while it can sometimes prove challenging, we always seem to get the job done in respectable fashion. Of course it helps significantly that the markets have been especially volatile, as they have been this earnings season, to ratchet up the opportunities for daytraders. We hit on three out of the four ideas in which we were interested.

The potential plays we targeted in yesterday morning’s premarket report that went on to record big gains were the UBER Weekly $26.50-27.50 Calls, the MAR Weekly $160-162.50 Calls, and the CAT Weekly $192.50-187.50 Puts. On the options trading front, we are making our way through the earnings drought as best we can recently, and doing a fairly good job of it if we say so ourselves. We’re in for another week-plus of this, with the days of having plenty of earnings reporters on the calendar set to return on Monday the 18th.

For now, we’ll keep plugging away and taking whatever we can get, and for yesterday’s report that came in the form of the SPY 07/06 $380-382 Calls which absolutely ripped, and the RFP 07/15 $17.50-20 Calls. Additionally, we’ve got some new highs to report in the GIS 07/15 $70-72.50 Calls which we alerted on last Wednesday.

OTC Updates: 

We have a couple of OTC stocks that have been mentioned in recent extended watchlists to update readers on this morning as well. We always try to flag potential plays on the lower exchanges in our watchlists, and very often, it bears significant fruit.

We mentioned HMBL on Tuesday morning and the stock has posted an intraweek run from .048-.0992 which marks an upswing of 107%, and this past Thursday we signaled EMGE which has made a rip-roaring move of 273% from .0082-.0306 in just a week’s time.

Earnings Plays Yield Gains: 

We fared quite well with our options trading selections in yesterday morning’s premarket report, with three out of our four daily targets coming up with some really nice intraday runs for us.

The winning picks for the day were the V Weekly $207.50-212.50 Calls, the MSFT Weekly $277.50-285 Calls, and the GSK Weekly $44-46 Calls. This earnings season has been packed with opportunities left and right, and we have been doing our best to take full advantage. Today should be no different, with a mass of huge-name earnings dropping this morning, we’ll definitely be including another solid slate of options ideas in this report. .
