Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Winning Stock Calls

Stock Recaps

We don’t very often dabble in OTC stocks anymore, with our primary focus being on big boards and options plays these days. We do make exceptions when it’s called for however, and this morning, we just wanted to draw attention to a couple of good calls we’ve made in that arena recently.

Driven Deliveries, Inc. DRVD -We tagged DRVD a couple of times in the last week, first in our report last Thursday morning, and promptly saw a perfect double bagger as the stock ran 100% from 1.50 that day to 3.00 on Friday.

More than just your average OTC throwaway, DRVD has a marijuana delivery service, and we’ve always been attracted to businesses in the cannabis space. The company also completed a 12.35:1 forward split the day we initially alerted on it and that move came post-split.  We’ll be interested to continue monitoring this stock.
_____

China Health Management Corp. CNHC – We also have tagged CNHC a couple of times in that same span, first highlighting it on Friday, and then again yesterday morning in our extended watchlist. Generally speaking, even if a stock is not featured in our reports, if it appears multiple times in our extended watchlist, there’s good chance it has performed well.

In the case of CNHC, we saw a move from .012 on the day of our initial alert to .04 yesterday. That’s a two-session upswing of 233%
____

Coty, Inc. COTY  – Speaking of the big boards, we highlighted COTY on Friday morning as well, selecting some weekly options that produced multi-bag gains for us. But the stock itself, between that time from a low of 8.50 and this morning’s premarket high of 11.58, has risen 36% in just a short while. We’ll want to continue tracking here as well.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Big Options Winners

Successful Options Ideas

We formulated some quick-strike, post-earnings options ideas for Home Depot and Advanced Auto Parts in yesterday morning ‘s premarket report. Even with shaky market performance like we’ve seen this week, a good earnings play can go a long way, and we proved it yet again.

Both ideas we submitted produced instant results, with the HD contracts we signaled providing the biggest potential profit by far. Those gains were as follows:

Home Depot, Inc. HD Weekly $180 Calls
Range:
.40-3.00 –  Max Gain: 650%

AAP Weekly $170 & $175 Calls
$170’s Range: 9.89-14.83 –  Max Gain: 50%
$175’s Range: 5.80-9.90 –  Max Gain: 71%

More Fresh Options Ideas

We’ll keep the post-earnings options train rolling with another pair of ideas this morning. Especially during times of high market uncertainty, earnings related options plays are our go-to targets.

Canada Goose Holdings, Inc. GOOS Weekly $66-69 Calls
Macy’s Inc. M 12/07 $37 & 37.50 Calls

Bonus Idea:
We’ll also signal some SPY calls that will be in play provided it holds above $270 upon the open. In that event, we’ll be looking at the SPY Weekly $272-274 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MCD Options & More

McDonald’s Corp. MCD

As we were looking for stocks that appear to be in position to buck the  bearish market trend we’ve experienced this week, we’ve settled on McDonald’s.

The hamburger giant posted some beefy Q3 numbers this morning. including a solid beat on earnings and worldwide same store sales, even as US same store sales missed expectations.

We’re going to signal a range of weekly calls to try to take advantage of the situation, and those are going to be the MCD Weekly $165-172.50 Calls.

PetMed Express, Inc. PETS – Update

We also want to rehash yesterday morning’s fresh options idea, which focused upon the PETS 12/21 $30 & 35 Calls. This pair of contracts recorded a solid first day for us, despite the tumultuous market conditions.

Both plays exceeded single-session gains of at least a hundred percent, and will retain their spot on our watchlist for the remainder of the week.

The $30 Calls traded up from a low of 1.55 up to 3.70 for a gain of 139% while the $35’s ran from .51-1.21, marking a 137% move on the day.

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY)

With such a sharp and rapid downturn in the markets, a rebound is certain to be headed our way at some point soon, so we’re going to signal a range of calls in the SPY. We’ve generally posted a very good track record in terms of utilizing the SPY’s options chain to our advantage in the past.

Our targets for the next week will be the SPY 10/31 $275-277 Calls as we await a recovery from this week’s early losses.
