Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GSK Recap & More

GlaxoSmithKline plc GSK – Update

We attempted to keep our excellent 2019 options performance intact yesterday, and we did see some chances for intraday gains in the fresh idea for GSK we included in our premarket report.

The stock didn’t skyrocket by any means, rising by less than a dollar, but the activity was sufficient to produce the following moves in our designated contracts.

$39.50 Calls – Range: .65-1.24 – Max Gain: 91%
$40 Calls – Range: .15-.75 – Max Gain: 400%
$40.50 Calls – Range: .10-.40 – Max Gain: 300%

Fresh Idea:
GRUB Weekly $86-87.50 Calls

Calix, Inc. CALX &
Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Inc. VNDA

We want to group these two stocks together this morning and tag them as bottom-watch plays. We’ll observe for the establishment of higher lows after their recent selloffs.

Both are now in the position of being extremely oversold, and exhibiting many of the conditions we routinely look for in potential recovery plays. We’ll observe their activity as we head into the end of the week.

Extended Watchlist:

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SNAP Rocking & More

Snap, Inc. SNAP

After we signaled our interest in a range of SNAP calls yesterday morming, the stock turned in quite a performance. In fact, SNAP ended up being the top gainer on the NASDAQ for the session.

That activity paved the way for some excellent intraday moves for our designated contracts, the SNAP Weekly $16-17.50 Calls, which all more than

$16 Calls – Range: 1.15-5.00 – Max Gain: 335%
$16.50 Calls – Range: .93-4.38 – Max Gain: 371%
$17 Calls – Range: .50-4.00 – Max Gain: 700%
$17.50 Calls – Range: .45-3.51– Max Gain: 680%

We feel good about a continuation of the same kind of volatility we saw with SNAP yesterday, and will roll up our potential strike prices, and begin to monitor the SNAP Weekly $21-22.50 Calls as we finish out the week.

Fresh Options Idea:
GrubHub, Inc. GRUB – Weekly $80-85 Calls

Twitter. Inc. TWTR – Weekly $31-33 Calls

Biocept, Inc. BIOC

We want to keep tabs on BIOC after the announcement of a public offering precipitated what we would consider an over-reactionary selloff.

The company raised a sum of roughly $14.8M after offering approximately 32M shares at an exercise price of .45, along with immediately exercise-able warrants to purchase another 32M shares at .50.

We would classify it fall to a new annual low of  .30 yesterday as a kneejerk response, and with the stock being this heavily oversold, we’ll want to put this one on bottom-bounce watch immediately.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ATOS Recap & More

Atossa Genetics, Inc. ATOS

We’re coming back to ATOS for the third consecutive day this week, after our initial alert in Monday’s report, and on that morning we observed a low of .50, followed by a modest but solid run 27% to .636.

We mentioned this yesterday morning, subsequent to which point the stock launched into another bullish session. dwarfing Monday’s performance. It traded from a low of .65 right at the outset, to an afternoon high of 1.50, which works out to an intraday upswing of 130% and a two-day swing of 200%

We were also reminding readers of the conference call the company has scheduled for 10AM this morning at

Caterpillar, Inc. CAT

Our post-earnings beat options ideas for CAT yesterday morning were the CAT Weekly $136-141 Calls. While every set of contracts did see upward movement, we’re only going to list the numbers for the $136-138′s, as the gains in the $139-141′s were minimal by comparison. We did however, see two separate chances for swing trades on the day.

$136 Calls – Swings: 2.75- 4.03 (+ 47%), 2.00-3.04 (+52%).
$137 Calls – Swings: 2.05-3.20, (+56%), 1.38-2.21 (+60%).
$138 Calls – Swings: 1.60-2.42 (+51%), .91-1.55 (+70%).

Fresh Idea: Walgreens Boots-Alliance Inc. WBA

We noticed WBA this morning on the premarket earnings calendar, and in addition to exceeding expectations with their quarterly report, the stock was already looking ripe for a bottom bounce.

We’re going to signal the WBA Weekly $69-70.50 Calls for observation for the remainder of the week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: New Play, Updates & Extended Watchlist

Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc. SWET

We’ve got a new item of interest in the penny arena to start things off this morning. Following a major run back in April, SWET has consolidated, and has been generally trading sideways ever since. We like the look of the chart, and feel that conditions are coming to a point where things could get interesting.

As you can see on the chart below, the RSI has held in there above the 50-line, there’s been a recent Golden Cross of the 50DMA over the 200DMA, and the MACD appears ready to start turning to the bullish side. It may not be too long before we see a pop out of this thing, so we’ll keep an eye peeled for that.

We also got word this morning that the company will be presenting at a prestigious investment banking conference at the beginning of next week:

ANNAPOLIS, MD, Jun 13, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) — Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc. Global Gaming Network, Inc. GBGM

With the vast array of stocks that we’re tracking all the time, it isn’t too much of a surprise when one of them perks up its head and regenerates our interest. Such was the case with GBGM yesterday; the last time we made mention of this stock in our daily reports was back on May 1st. At the time, we were monitoring the play for a bottom, which took the better part of the next month to reach.

GBGM touched down and found support at .0008 recently, and yesterday the sleeping giant was finally awakened as the company announced that it had retired 50 million shares of common stock, thereby reducing the number of outstanding shares 6%. What resulted was a significant upswing that took the stock as high as .0021 and generated gains of up to 162% for anyone that caught the bottom.

Options Ideas

OpenTable, Inc. OPEN

OPEN is gapping up tremendously this morning on news that the company is to be acquired by The Priceline Group. In situations like these, we like to monitor these high-flyers for subsequent dip-and-rip scenarios. Specifically regarding the options chain, when a strong move like this is properly utilized, it can spell big gains for those playing the Call side.

When something of this magnitude occurs, it can also create a sector-wide ripple effect, so we may also want to track stocks like LIVE, YELP, GRUB, and of course, PCLN.
