Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Fresh Bottom Plays

New Bottom Plays

While we are in a bit of a drought in terms of big name earnings reports, as tends to happen around a holiday. We’re back for a full, fresh trading week and we thought we’d shift our focus to bottom plays as we kick things off.

Taronis Technologies, Inc. TRNX

TRNX is in precisely the sort of position in which we look for bottom-bounce candidates. The stock saw new lows last week before making its reversal, and stringing together three consecutive positive sessions.

We can also see on the RSI that TRNX is just now coming off of being extremely oversold and the volatility potential suggests that even a 100% move from current pricing would not be out of the realm of possibility. We’ll be keeping an eye peeled here in the days and weeks ahead.

______

Rockwell Medical Technologies, Inc. RMTI

RMTI is another possible bottom play with some decent potential and a gap to fill the 200DMA currently sitting at 4.11. Perhaps the upside potential here is not quite of the magnitude of the previously mentioned play, but the indicators may be more ripe in this case.

The MACD is on the precipice of a bullish cross, and the RSI is slowly attempting to come off of being oversold. This may also be a good candidate for a more sustained recovery over the next several sessions.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TEUM Update & More

Pareteum Corp. TEUM

The last time we mentioned TEUM was December 8th, shortly after which time the stock was trading for as little as .661. At the time the company had no involvement in the trendy cryptocurrency space.

Flash forward to this week, and an announcement that the company is adding blockchain capability for cryptocurrency support on its global cloud billing platform has the stock soaring to new highs.

TEUM hit 3.15 yesterday, which marks an increase of 377% in less than three weeks’ time. Volume for the day was on the order of roughly five times the monthly average.

Bitcoin itself has been making a nice rebound after the pullback which followed its big run to nearly $20K, and there is no reason to suspect that the push toward blockchain related technologies, both cryptocurrency and otherwise, is just a passing fad.

INSYS Therapeutics, Inc. INSY – Options Recap

We made our interest in the INSY 01/19 $8 & $9 Calls known yesterday morning, and it barely took any time at all for our ideas to come to fruition.

As we were mentioning yesterday, the company recently initiated Phase II trials of its synthetic Cannabidiol (CBD) Oral Solution for Treatment of Refractory Childhood Absence Epilepsy, and the FDA granted Fast Track status to the ‘drug’ for the treatment of a rare genetic disorder (Prader-Willi).

This news allowed for some very nice moves in our designated contracts. The $8 Calls ran from .35-1.00 for a gain of 186%, while the $9’s traded up from .20-.55, trending up 175% on the day.

Ampio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. AMPE

We also want to swing back to remind our readers of last week’s alert on AMPE. We tagged this play seven days ago (four trading days), and saw it trading for as little as 2.57. As of yesterday’s high of 3.55, the stock had thus far risen by 38%

The stock’s peak PPS represented a new annual high, so we’ll be interested to see how the stock performs in blue skies.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Fresh Options & More

Potential Bottom-Plays

We’ve unearthed a couple of stocks that are trading just above their recent relative lows, and wanted to relegate them to a bottom watchlist this morning. We’re getting strong multiple-bottom signals from each one, and will formulate a couple of corresponding options ideas.

Tenet Healthcare Corp. THC – This stock strung together three sessions of higher lows and higher highs to close out last week, with a ton of room to the upside. We’re going to be signaling our interest in tracking the THC 01/26 $13.50-14.50 Calls as the stock attempts to continue the beginnings of this uptrend.

Key Tronic Corp. KTCC – This play has been attempting a recovery of its own, after a sizable gap-down hit it this past Monday, as pictured on the chart snapshot below. We’ll be waiting in the wings with an options idea in this case as well, with the KTCC 02/16 $5 and $7.50 Calls.

Lululemon Athletica LULU – Update

We also want to give one final update on our Weekly LULU Calls, which provided us with multiple opportunities for swing trades throughout last week. Friday was no exception, with the following moves being made on the day:

$72.50 Calls – Range: .39-1.50 – Max Gain: 285%
$73 Calls – Range: .22-1.00 – Max Gain: 355%
$73.50 Calls – Range: .11-.50 – Max Gain: 355%
