Midweek Updates, Trio of New Ideas

Midweek Options Recaps:

We offered up a pair of short term and a pair of longer term ideas in our premarket report yesterday, and as is pretty typical, we saw some good movement out of the weekly plays, and not so much instant gratification from those that expire next month. We usually gravitate to those kind of ideas during earnings low periods, and we certainly have been short on big name reporters this week. But we’ll continue to monitor those interests into October, and keep trying to point out whatever looks best to us on a daily basis.

As for yesterday’s weekly plays, which were the CBRL Weekly $70-75 Calls and the BUR Weekly $17.50-15 Puts, we observed the following intraday trading activity and gain potential:

CBRL Weekly $70-75 Calls
$70:
 3.00-4.20 (+40%)
$75: 1.09-2.66 (+144%)
_____

BUR Weekly $17.50-15 Puts
$17.50:
 1.63-1.93 (+18%)
$15: .05-.10 (+100%)

Fresh Options:
SMTC Weekly $22-23 Calls
SPY 09/14 $447-448 Calls
BABA Weekly $87-89 Calls

AVTX, FWBI, GMBL, RNAZ, KITT, NVOS, NAVB, NLST, YCRM, CNBX

Tuesday Recaps, Fresh Ideas

Two for Tuesday:

We fared reasonably well yesterday, having selected a trio of potential plays for our premarket report. While we didn’t manage a clean sweep on that, two out of three isn’t half bad, and our moving targets produced a very solid performance on the session. We also had a solid NASDAQ play pop off of the extended watchlist, so all in all we’re in pretty good shape as we cross this week’s midpoint.

Yesterday’s movers and shakers were the ORCL Weekly $117-115 Puts and the NVDA Weekly $455-450 Puts, and here are the total possible gains they facilitated on Tuesday: .

ORCL Weekly $117-115 Puts
$117:
 3.75-9.30 (+148%)
$116: 3.30-8.45 (+156%)
$115: 2.45-7.61 (+210%)
_____

NVDA Weekly $455-450 Puts
$455:
 6.69-10.66 (+59%)
$452.50: 5.57-9.13 (+64%)
$450: 4.62-7.90 (+71%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
CBRL Weekly $70-75 Calls
BUR Weekly $17.50-15 Puts
AMKR 10/20 $22-23 Calls
AIN 10/20 $85-90 Calls

Avalo Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:AVTX) – Recap:

Like yesterday, we also have a brief recap on another NASDAQ stock that we’ve flagged in our extended watchlist that went on to make a great run. We had AVTX in yesterday’s report, and the stock started out changing hands for as little as .102. As of this morning’s new high of .24 that marks a 24-hour swing of 139%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Watch Play & More

Eastman Kodak Co. KODK – Update

It was a few weeks ago on the 12th of January that we signaled a range of puts in the Kodak options chain.  The company had seen a considerable surge in price after announcing its own unique crypto-coin, but we took a skeptical position as to its sustainability.

We highlighted the KODK 02/16 $15 & $12.50 Puts.
and wanted to come back around to it this morning to check out the gains that were made possible as the stock has predictably failed to maintain its uptrend, and instead has fallen significantly since our alert.

As a result, the $15 Puts have run from 4.70-8.80 for an 87% pop, while the $12.50’s traded from a low of 2.60 up to 6.50, a gain of 150%

Auris Medical Holding Inc. EARS

We lso want to add a quick bottom watch play in EARS to kick off the week this morning.

It’s got multiple gaps to fill to the upside and is currently considerably oversold. We’ll want to watch this stock for a potential rebound in the days and weeks ahead.
