Blue Horseshoe Stocks: New Highs for HMNY, MNKD

Helios and Matheson Analytics, Inc. HMNY

It was just yesterday morning that we were remarking on the continuously bullish tendencies of HMNY over the past few weeks since we began tracking it on September 20th.

To that point, we had seen a huge run from a low of 5.47 to 23.49, and then yesterday’s session brought another solid performance, and yet another new high. HMNY traded in a daily range from 22.75 to 28.70. That works out to a an intraday rise of 26% and an updated total on our overall observed move since 10/20 amounting to 425%

MannKind Corp. MNKD

Yesterday we were talking about some options calls we made on Friday for MNKD, the 10/20 $5.50 & $6.00 Calls, which have made some good moves, but we neglected to mention our success on the stock side itself.

A quick view of the MNKD Tag in our newsletter archive at BlueHorseshoeStocks.com shows that we’ve been consistently mentioning the stock over the past several months, and four times already since the beginning of October. Our observed low on the stock alone came in at 1.85, and yesterday’s new high for MNKD represented an overall increase of 276%

Moving back to the options side of things, those $5.50 Calls traded up from .71-1.60 (+129%) intraday, and from Friday’s low of .10, a total of 1500%  The $6.00’s saw a daily range .47-1.30 (+177%), and the overall move we’ve witnessed since Friday comes in at a whopping 2500%

Fresh Options Idea:

Delta Air Lines. Inc. DAL- Not only did Delta post a Q3 earnings beat in the premarket despite taking a hit due to the recent hurricanes, but the chart is also currently headed for a Golden Cross. With that in mind, we’re going to signal the DAL Weekly $52.50-54 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BBY Options, XTRN Recap & More

Las Vegas Railway Express XTRN – Update

As we were just mentioning yesterday, a member of our daily live trader’s chat* allowed participants to snag gains of up to 300% on Tuesday as XTRN ran from .0003-.0012.

We also noted the immense volume flowing through the stock, along with a bullish close and suggested that a continuation of momentum was possible. Sure enough XTRN followed up one strong session with another, trading in an intraday range from a low of .001 and reaching as high as .0027, which works out to an intraday run of 260%

That is certainly a premium single-session gain opportunity that was available to all of our subscribers, but chatroom members* could have had a shot at the full two-day swing, which comes out to an incredible 800%

XTRN received an offer to be bought out and merge with XREE, another ‘X-Train’ company that runs scenic train tours, so we’ll be interested to see how that situation plays out.

Best Buy Co. Inc. BBY – Options Idea

Post-earnings options ideas for high-profile companies have produced some of the biggest gains that we come across, so we want to formulate one for BBY today. A unexpectedly strong Q1 release has catapulted the stock here in the premarket where it has touched eleven-year highs.

We are going to be very interested to track BBY Weekly $55-58 Calls for potential swing trades, especially if the stock behaves predictably and executes an early dip-and-rip.

_____

Bonus Idea – Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ANF

ANF posted a mixed earnings release, beating on sales but taking a heavy loss for Q1. Still, the markets as a whole seem bullish, and ANF is gapping up moderately in the premarket. We’ll be looking at the ANF Weekly $13 & $13.50 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options, Bottom-Plays & More

OPTIONS IDEAS

Wynn Resorts, Ltd. WYNN  – This play was part of a casino-related watchlist we put together at the beginning of this month, and it has essentially spent the last two weeks in a constant uptrend, culminating in a new 52-week high yesterday.

Despite having been in blue sky territory for so long, we’re still interested in setting a range of options calls to track over the next couple of sessions. The outlook on Macau gaming is bullish, and as a result, a lot of folks have casino stocks like this one on high alert. We’ll have the WYNN Weekly $108-110 Calls on watch today and tomorrow.

______

Aerie Pharmaceuticals, Inc. AERI – We’ve got a news-related runner in AERI this morning, which is soaring in the premarket today on the heels of positive trial results for its eye pressure drug.

To be ready to take advantage of the intraday activity in this play, we’ll be monitoring the AERI Weekly $30 & $35 Calls for possible daytrade opportunities.

AMC Networks, Inc. AMCX

We’re interested in flagging AMCX today after noticing the stock has just fallen to a new annual low on Monday, and indeed its lowest prices since January of 2013.

In the ensuing two sessions, higher highs and higher lows have been achieved off of that bottom. The stock is heavily oversold at present, and we’re going to place it on a long-term recovery watch.

Axion Power International, Inc. AXPW

We’ve been awaiting a bottom on AXPW for quite some time now, and it appears to have finally come this week. Just like the above-mentioned play, the stock hit a new 52-week low on Monday, and has made some steady progress in making its way off of that bottom over the past couple sessions.

This stock was trading at the .03-level less than three weeks ago, and a return to that area on the chart would be good for multi-bag gains from current levels, so we’ll be continuing to keep a close eye on this one as well.

Extended Watchlist:
BSPM, NAVB, ACST, HOTR, BAS, ENRJ

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CHKE Recap, Options Ideas & More

Cherokee, Inc. CHKE – Update

We flagged CHKE yesterday as a stock we felt was undervalued coming off of a particularly rough month that saw it get beaten back to new 52-week lows. Our ‘bottom-feeding’ sense immediately kicked in, and in a timely fashion at that. The stock did indeed exhibit the early signs of a recovery, registering higher lows than the session prior, and making a modest move up from 14.67-15.83 (+8%).

We’re going to want to continue to track CHKE for the possibility of a protracted rebound (Remember, there is also a massive gap to fill on the chart), and in that event we’ll be looking to possibly take advantage using the CHKE options chain. We’ll look at the only contracts that had open interest yesterday, which were the 10/16 $17.50 Calls (Last Trade: .30).

If CHKE were to regain even half of the ground lost between its current PPS and that of a month ago, those calls will be pushed deep into the money, and would provide us with a chance to profit tidily.

Santo Mining Corp. SANP

SANP is a super-subpenny play we flagged for observation on Monday, and it didn’t take very long for us to observe a nice move from the stock. Following a low of .0003 on Tuesday, SANP has made a good intraweek swing of 133%, trading as high as .0007 yesterday on volume which exceeded the monthly average volume by six times.

There really wasn’t a heck of a lot going on with this play prior to the beginning of this month, and this weeks activity has come on the heels of the company securing a new Chief Market Officer with an impressive resume, so we’ll be interested to follow along and see what he has in store in the way of changes for SANP.

___

Added Note:

Speaking of super-subpennies, Embarr Downs, Inc. EMBR has caught our eye this morning as a play that bounced off of its 52-week low and made a brief move into subpenny territory yesterday. We’ll have this one on watch as well, in case further action provides a chance for quick intraday strikes.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NSPH, DLIA, POWR

Nanosphere, Inc.  NSPH

NSPH is the first of a few new plays that we pulled off of our scanner this morning. The stock made a big move on Monday after it was learned that Nanoshpere had landed a substantial contract. Yesterday the company received FDA clearance on one of its products (Verigene(R) Enteric Pathogens Test), but could not maintain a steady run as a result of an overall dip in the markets.

The stock is, however, gapping up again this morning. We may want to keep an eye peeled for this play, as it is still trading near a relative bottom at its current price range; the stock was trading at 2.50 and above as recently as March.

dELIA*s, Inc. DLIA

Next up, we have DLIA, which popped up on our scanner as something of a momentum play. The stock is coming off of a recent bottom, and has been exhibiting the signs of a bullish run. A quick review of the chart shows that DLIA has made higher lows and higher highs for the last three consecutive trading sessions, and continued to build up a head of steam yesterday, pushing through its 50DMA.

We’re seeing a sizable gap-up this morning as well, and as you can see the chart still looks extremely bullish. We have an RSI which looks like its just about to punch into the power zone, and a MACD which recently underwent a bullish cross. If DLIA can now manage to break through the 200DMA (.98), it appears to have a pretty clear path on up to the 1.25-1.35 range.

PowerSecure International, Inc. POWR

Last but not least we have POWR, which is another morning gapper. The stock fell off a cliff on worse-than-expected earnings back in early May. We are now seeing some of that gap being filled, and want to keep a close watch over this play for the remainder of the week at the very least.

The gap on the chart goes all the way up to more than $18, so a return to previous levels would spell gains of more than 100% Even if the stock can manage to get back above its 50DMA (Currently 12.49), it would yield profits in excess of 40% over present prices.

Today the company announced it had successfully modified the service arrangement with one of its major utility customers to improve the terms of its ongoing service as outlined in the PR below.
