Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GYST Video, Other Updates

The Graystone Company GYST

Our first order of business this morning is to provide an update on GYST, which was the subject of our special report yesterday. If you did not catch our report, you can do so by hitting the following link >>GYST REPORT

To illustrate GYST’s performance during yesterday’s session, what better way to go over it than a video chart from our very own Stock Sumo! Click through to the video below, and also receive a quick lesson in understanding Level 2 quotes, which is vital for any beginning trader to take the next step!

>>GYST Video

The dip-and-rip we saw in GYST from .007 to .012 represented an intraday upswing of 71%, so, a very good first day of observation. As Stock Sumo was mentioning, we want to see GYST hold support at or above the channel between .0064-.007 on any pullbacks, and will look for an eventual break of resistance at .0125.

OTHER UPDATES:

Viva Entertainment Group, Inc. OTTV -We tagged OTTV in  Friday’s extended watchlist and we wanted to circle back this morning to mention the solid activity that followed from this stock over subsequent sessions.

On Friday, we observed a low of .0004 and witnessed a pretty nice 75% rip to .0007. As of yesterday, OTTV had extended its high to .001, and boosted our three-session observed upswing on the stock to a nice, round 150%
_____

Pilgrim Petroleum Corp. PGPM – For another quick update, we’ve witnessed a pretty good two-day swing in PGPM after alerting it in Tuesday’s premarket report, and observing a low of .011. Yesterday, the stock hit .0183, which was good for a respectable overall move of 66%

Dollar General Corp. DG

We want to leave off this morning with an earnings-related options idea. We’ve had a ton of success this earnings season, and will try to keep that going with Dollar General.

Not only did the company reveal a beat on sales and profits for the quarter, but the current chart setup was already primed for a bullish move. We’ll be putting the DG Weekly $75-78 Calls on watch for potential day and/or swing trades.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BBRY Recap & More

Cumulus Media, Inc. CMLS

We’re looking at CMLS as a possible momentum play. The stock has been building up quite a head of steam over the past few sessions, trading an inordinately high amount of volume yesterday.

Since hitting its lows toward the end of last month the stock has been in a general uptrend. Every time it has receded, it has rebounded back to set new highs. We’ll place CMLS on watch to see if it can maintain the powerful trend it has established.

CMLS is gapping up in the premarket this morning. On any pullbacks, we’ll want to see CMLS maintain support at a minimum of .50 in order to maintain our immediate interest.

BlackBerry Ltd. BBRY

Normally, when we alert on a big board play without including some type of options idea, as we did with BBRY back on March 31st (and April 12th), it’s because we feel the stock itself is generally undervalued. Where BlackBerry is concerned, we have thus far turned out to be right on the money. We saw a low of 7.47 on the morning of March 31st, and BBRY hasn’t looked back since.

In its largest single session move of the year, the stock hit 11.38 yesterday. That represents an increase of 52% over our observed low, as we’ve pointed out on the chart below. .

____

FerroGlobe PLC (GSM) – Along the same lines, we highlighted GSM yesterday, a stock which is priced similarly to BBRY. It managed a slight increase after gapping up, and we’re going to continue watching this one as well.

Extended Watchlist:

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: JNUG Recap & Much More

Direxion Daily Jr Gld Mnrs Bull 3X ETF  (JNUG) – Recap

Despite only providing a fleeting opportunity for gains on Tuesday morning after we submitted our options trading idea for the JNUG chain, we followed up with a reminder in yesterday’s report that the idea was still in play, and that we’d need to keep our heads on a swivel looking out for the move we were hoping for.

With the help of a Fed rate hike of a quarter of a percentage point, announced by Chairperson Janet Yellen yesterday, our specified contracts, the JNUG 03/31 $7-8 Calls took a serious turn for the better.

The daily ranges and potential profits were as follows:

$7 Calls – Range: .40-1.40 – Max Gain: 250%
$7.50 Calls – Range: .35-1.00 – Max Gain: 186%
$8 Calls – Range: .20-.87 – Max Gain: 335%

Once again, we’re going to reiterate our interest in these ideas, which could be in line to extend their highs, with JNUG gapping up in early trading this morning.

Aralez Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ARLZ

We placed ARLZ on bottom watch yesterday morning in what turned out to be a fantastic stroke of good timing. We just wanted to update readers this morning on the reversal which did indeed occur during the session. While the intraday gain potential topped out at 25% as the stock ran from the open (and also low of day) at 2.11 to as much as 2.63.

The inverted hammer candle that the stock posted yesterday is often thought to be an indicator of the end of a downward pattern, so we’ll be very interested to continue tracking ARLZ in sessions to come. Chart indicators are still looking very ripe, and we’d be surprised if the show was over after just a 25% rise.

Cannabis Sector Comments

Lastly, we just want to address the cannabis sector, particularly those stocks that are connected to legal recreational marijuana. After some very damaging comments made recently by the Trump Administration wherein it was suggested that the government could crack down on legal weed, yesterday we witnessed something of a reversal from Jeff Sessions.

Sessions appeared to hint at insufficient DOJ funding as a primary reason that perhaps the current regime will not be changing Obama-era guidance on leaving the treatment of recreational weed as a states’ rights issue.

On the heels of this development, we’re going to want to keep closer tabs on the cannabis sector once again, particularly those plays that lost a lot of ground after the first round of comments from Washington.

Some of our go-to favorites in the space have been OWCP, TRTC, SING, SGDH, CBIS, and MJNA, so we’ll be tracking these more closely in the days and weeks ahead, along with the sector as a whole, as stated above.

Fresh Options Idea:

The TSLA chart is looking ripe for a recovery, and the stock is gapping up moderately in premarket trading this morning. We want to signal a range of calls to monitor in the TSLA chain to potentially take advantage of what could be a protracted recovery. We’re going to zero in on the TSLA 04/07 $270-277.50 Calls, and monitor them in the days and weeks ahead.
