Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Big Win Friday

Recapping Friday’s Winners

If you check our report from Friday morning, you’ll see that we highlighted a couple of sets of weekly options ideas, and we’d like to kick off this short trading week with a review of the total possible gains which were available for anyone who caught our alerts.

SPDR S&P500 ETF (SPY) -Expecting to see some reasonably bullish activity based off of the conditions we observed on Friday in the premarket, we decided to make our go-to move of signaling some short-term SPY ideas. Out of that group, the Weekly $289 Calls were the most attractive play. Those traded up from a low of .55-1.54, for total possible gains of up to 180%
_____

The Walt Disney Co. DIS – We caught DIS gapping up on our morning scan Friday, and it was cruising in the premarket. It turned into a classic gap-and-go for us as our ideas, the Weekly $122-125 Calls, which all soared.

$122 Calls – Range: 4.40-10.25 – Max Gain: 133%
$123 Calls – Range: 3.75-7.59  – Max Gain: 102%
$124 Calls – Range: 2.53-6.60 – Max Gain: 161%
$125 Calls – Range: 1.68-6.01 – Max Gain: 258%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PULM Review & More

Pulmatrix, Inc. PULM

The first thing we want to talk about this morning is the recent performance of a stock we tagged for observation roughly three weeks ago on the 11th of March. PULM was under consolidation in the sessions that followed, and over the past week, has really blossomed into a solid runner.

From its recent low of 1.05, the stock has risen as high as 3.01, which marks an increase of 187% PULM was trading above $4 just a few months ag0. We’ll continue to monitor to see if the stock can recover the rest of its lost ground.

FRESH OPTIONS IDEAS

Walgreens Boots Alliance WBA – Here we would like to signal a range of puts in the WBA chain on the heels of the company’s whiff on Q2 earnings expectations, and slashed guidance. Our targets this midweek are going to be the WBA Weekly $59-57.50 Puts, which may be helped along by a lackluster February Durable Orders report this morning.
_____

Cabot Corp. CBT - In this case, we simply like the technical setup of the chart. If CBT makes the kind of rebound it appears to want to make, we are going to see some solid opportunities out of the CBT 05/17 $40 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TROV, PULM Reviews

Pulmatrix, Inc. PULM

We highlighted this stock in Friday morning’s premarket report, and were immediately paid potential dividends as PULM made a very solid intraday push. From a low of 1.33, PULM surged as high as 2.33 on the day. That represents a single-session gain of 75% which occurred on huge volume.

It was also sufficient to secure PULM the #2 slot on the NASDAQ top gainers list for the day. We’ll be sure to monitor its activity as we kick off the fresh trading week, in the event of a momentum spillover.

TrovaGene, Inc. TROV

Also appearing in Friday morning’s report was a reminder on TROV. We signaled this stock for observation at the end of January. It tapered back slightly to find support at a low of 2.54, and reached an impressive mark of 9.65 on Friday morning. That worked out to move of 280% in a span of roughly five weeks.

Big Lots, Inc. BIG – Options Recap

We also had the BIG 03/15 $35 & $37.50 Calls on watch in Friday’s report, and those worked out fantastically, thanks to a very nice daily performance from the stock. The $35 Calls ran hard from a low of .50 and up as high as 2.40- a move of 380% The $37.50′s dwarfed that move, exploding from a low of ,07 to .75, which works out to a daily increase of 971%

The Boeing Co. BA – Fresh Idea

We’re also going to be looking to short Boeing early on this week with the BA Weekly $375-367.50 Puts, after a disaster for an Ethiopian Airlines flight claimed 149 lives on a brand new Boeing MAX-8 737 a mere 6 minutes after takeoff. It’s all but certain to cause near-term issues for BA stock, which has already been on the decline this month.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Epic BPTH Run

Bio-Path Holdings, Inc. BPTH

We’ve been talking about BPTH all week, after the stock we tagged as a bottom watch play in our morning report on January 23rd had come up from our observed low of 2.65 to nearly the $15-mark. It was an incredible gain indeed, but nothing could have prepared us for what was to come.

Yesterday, following the company’s clinical update on its Phase 2 acute myeloid leukemia drug, prexigebersen, we saw an explosion on the chart that can only be described as the rarest of the rare. BPTH shot up from a daily low of 17.01 to an astounding high of 73.52! That worked out to an intraday swing of 332% As measured from the low following our January alert on the stock, BPTH posted an increase of  2,674% in a matter of just five weeks.

The stock pulled back to the high $30′s following that epic run, so it would appear that the above-mentioned figure will be the final maximum gain on our idea. While this has a chance to go down as our best stock call of the year, the chances that we score bigger gains on options ideas are extremely high. So we encourage any non-subscribers reading this to sign up as soon as possible!

Fresh Options Ideas

Speaking of options, which have also brought us several multi-bag gain opportunities this week, we’ll go ahead and close out this incredibly successful week with a pair of ideas that seem to be good bets here in the premarket. Horrid payroll numbers are contributing to what appears to be an impending bearish day for the markets.

SPY Weekly $274.50-273 Puts*
BIG 03/15 $35-37.50 Calls

*Never trade weekly options on a Friday unless you are an expert level trader with access to disposable funds.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: More Big Winners

The Estee Lauder Companies Inc. EL – Recap

At this point, mentioning that our most recent fresh options idea turned in a great performance seems to be a foregone conclusion. Nearly everything we’ve touched in 2019 with respect to earnings related options ideas has turned to gold.

EL is just the next link in that chain of premium options tradings ideas we’ve delivered to our readers so far this. It was a new idea for yesterday morning’s premarket report, the EL Weekly $145 & $150 Calls,  and both of those strike points produced big-time single-session gains.

The $145′s ran 128% from 5.28 to 12.00, while the $150′s exploded from a low of 1.99 and hit 7.50, for potential intraday profits of up to 276%
_____

Fresh Idea:
GSK Weekly $39.50-40.50 Calls
GM Weekly $39-41 Calls

Travena, Inc. TRVN

We also want to review a call we made on a stock at the end of 2018 that has found success in the early goings of 2019. We highlighted TRVN for observation in our report dated December 28th, and that day, the stock was trading for as little as .40, and it would never fall lower.

The reached .60 around the halfway point through January, and last week, exactly a month following our tag, TRVN kicked into high gear, reaching 1.45; an increase of 263% over our observed low from the morning of our initial alert.

The stock is currently flirting with its 200DMA, and if it can break previous resistance around the 1.50 area, there is a massive gap to the upside. Things could get even more interesting from there.
