Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CGI Recap & More

Celadon Group Inc. CGI

Our first order of business this morning is to swing back around for a stock that we signaled our interest in back in May, which has subsequently gone on to put together a fantastic run up the chart.

When we tagged CGI on May 9th, the stock had recently fallen off of a cliff, and was attempting to recover off of its newly established lows. We observed a low PPS of 1.90 just a couple of sessions later, and that preceded one heck of a recovery. Yesterday, CGI streaked to new highs, coming up as the #4 top gainer on the NASDAQ, and reaching 5.15. That works out to a total increase of 171%

Having now recovered all of the ground it lost in early May, the chart still appears strong, and the next key resistance point we’ll look to see CGI make a run at is the current 200DMA of 5.95.

Options Ideas
We mentioned in the previous report that there would be a growing number of possible options trading opportunities as we neared the end of the week. This morning we’re looking at Facebook, Inc. FB, which reported yesterday post-market, and Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV (BUD), reporting this morning.

Each of them had beats, and are gapping up in the premarket. We’ll be monitoring the FB Weekly $172.50-180 Calls and the
BUD Weekly $120 & 125 Calls.

InfoSonics Corp. IFON

We also want to quickly recap the solid performance of IFON, which we tagged yesterday morning as a possible bottom bounce play, after seeing it test it 50 and 200DMA’s the previous day. The stock responded with another nice move from  .562 to .84, an intraday push of 49% on big time volume.

We’ll look for the establishment of higher lows and higher highs and for the stock to maintain its multi-day runner status, and for a break of resistance in the channel between yesterday’s swing high and a swing high back in April at 1.04.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Updates, Bottom-Plays & More

Aeterna Zentaris, Inc. AEZS

We flagged AEZS on Wednesday’s morning, and saw rip its way to nearly a 90% gain. Then yesterday morning, we took note of the heavy volume and kept the stock on our radar.

It didn’t quite match the degree of the previous session’s move, but still followed it up with a solid performance, running from 2.55 to 3.29 on the day. That’s an intraday spike of 29% and a two-day upswing of 122% over our observed low of 1.48,  while volume was massive once again. We’ll be looking for AEZS to possibly continue its multi-day run, and would want to see maintain support at or above Wednesday’s closing price of 2.34 on any pullbacks, in order to remain interested.

ImmunoCellular Therapeutics, Ltd. IMUC

We want to radar IMUC as a bottom-watch play this morning. We noticed the stock had fallen to a new annual low yesterday, following the pricing of a public offering earlier this week, that is expected to be executed today.

We’re always on the lookout for battered stocks that could become rebound play candidates, and we’re always looking for charts with gaps to the upside and IMUC currently checks both of those boxes.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PIXY Review & More

ShiftPixy, Inc. PIXY

As we were mentioning on Monday morning, we included PIXY in Friday’s report on its first ever trading day. Generally speaking we don’t tend to cast our lot in with brand new IPO’s, but a trusted source in our network gave us a heads-up on PIXY, and didn’t let us down.

We of course passed it along to our readers immediately in our premarket report on Friday, and the stock, after two trading days has made some really nice progress.

From the initial opening price of 6.30 we observed in PIXY, it went on to hit a high of 9.70 to kick off the short trading week on Monday. That marks a two-day swing of 54% for this newly-trading juggernaut. We’ll continue to be on the lookout for PIXY to keep recording higher base levels of support.

Opexa Therapeutics, Inc. OPXA

An honorable mention from Monday’s report is OPXA, especially considering that sessions just prior to a holiday break are typically low-key affairs.

The stock put up a solid intraday performance, running 35% from a low of a dollar up to 1.35, and pulling back into the close at 1.15. However, premarket activity this morning has seen the stock trade back to just below Monday’s high. This is one we’ll want to keep on our radar for the time being.

Aphria, Inc. APHQF

We’ve been familiar with APHQF for quite a time, but today will be the first occasion we’ve actually mentioned it in our reports.

Today, we wanted to point out that the company released two PR’s yesterday, the more significant of which was the announcement of a 1-year cannabis supply deal with a licensed Canadian medical provider which will bring upwards of $5M in revenue beginning midway through next year. We’ll provide links to both PR’s so you can check them out for yourself.
