Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Review & More

Apple, Inc. AAPL

We began tracking some options ideas for AAPL on Tuesday morning when we slated the AAPL 06/01 $167.50 & $170 Calls for observation. Then yesterday, we followed up with another set of ideas based on the performance of the stock, signaling the AAPL Weekly $172.50 & $175 Calls. We’re happy to report that all four of the ideas we put forth for the Apple options chain have yielded excellent chances for quick strike profits.

Beginning with the 6/01 $167.50 & $170 Calls – The $167.50’s traded up from 4.36 to hit 10.85, a rise of 149%, and the $170’s have run from 3.30-8.80 for a 167% swing.

As for our followup additions from yesterday morning, the Weekly $172.50 & $175 Calls we were very pleased with the single-session moves made by those as well. The $172.50’s ran from 2.08-3.26 (+57%) , and the $175’s went from 2.37-5.45 (+130%).

______

Mastercard, Inc. MA

We also want to follow up with the other fresh options idea we placed in yesterday’s report, the MA Weekly $182.50-187.50 Calls, which all also posted some excellent multi-bag intraday gain chances.

$382.50 Calls – Range: 2.20-5.66 – Max Gain: 157%
$385 Calls – Range: 1.00-3.53 – Max Gain: 253%
$382.50 Calls – Range: .26-1.69 – Max Gain: 550%
______

Fresh Idea: TSLA Weekly $285-277.50 Puts

Beyond Commerce, Inc. BYOC

We like the setup of the current chart on BYOC, so we wanted to include this one as well. Its setup is currently sporting several key indicators that we always look for, and have also pointed out on the chart below.

We’ll put the stock on watch in coming sessions; with a break past the current 50DMA of .10, things could get interesting. We noted the prior resistance around .16, which would represent a nice gain from current levels if the stock were to return there.

________

Eleven Biotherapeutics, Inc. EBIO

To round things off with another successful stock call we made recently, we have EBIO, which we initially alerted on April 23rd at 1.86. Yesterday, after its fourth straight bullish session, EBIO hit 3.50, marking a move of 88% in just eight trading days.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Winning NFLX Calls & More

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Update

We had just come off of an excellent post-earnings options idea on Hasbro leading into yesterday’s session, and to keep the train rolling, we offered up an another options idea to go along with NFLX’s own earnings beat.

We’ve said it a hundred times and will probably say it a hundred more- quarterly earnings provide a fantastic method of using big board stocks to leverage huge short-term profits out of their options chains, and NFLX is illustrating that point to a tee.

We signaled our interest in the NFLX Weekly $117-120 Calls, and of course, they all made notable moves to the upside on the session:

$117 Calls – Range: 2.12-3.27 – Max Gain: 54%
$118 Calls – Range: 1.66-3.20 – Max Gain: 93%
$119 Calls – Range: 1.34-2.65 – Max Gain: 98%
$120 Calls – Range: 1.13-1.75 – Max Gain: 55%

Cannabis Science, Inc. CBIS – Update

We cautioned readers in yesterday’s report that the activity on marijuana related stocks has been ramping up, and in lieu of a traditional extended watchlist for the day, we posted a list of over a dozen to keep an eye on, and nearly all of them ended the day in the green.

One of the most solid plays out of the list was CBIS, which ran a healthy 44% from .034 to .0489, and did so on volume exceeding the monthly average roughly seven-fold. After that initial run, the stock pulled back before surging again toward the end of the day, and posting a strong close at .0475.
_____

We’ll look to keep monitoring the situation in not only CBIS, but the marijuana space as a whole. We’re confident enough in the present landscape to assert that the opportunities are most assuredly not going to end here. As we’ve stated multiple times now, recreational legalization in California (the world’s 6th-largest economy) is just weeks away. It figures to reinvigorate investor interest in pot stocks even more than we’ve seen to this point, as well as representing the toppling of a major domino in what we feel will ultimately be a chain-reaction leading to nationwide legalization.

According to the LA Times poll, roughly 60% of California voters plan on voting yes on Prop 64, which would mean that by this time next month, the entire West Coast from Canada to Mexico will be a prohibition-free zone.
_____

Added Note: We also want to add ICBU to our marijuana watchlist; a stock that we haven’t mentioned in the past, on the heels of an interesting PR. (>>View PR)

Banc of California  BANC

Speaking of California, BANC stock has fallen off a cliff on immaterial news of a pending fraud investigation. We always look for knee-jerk selloffs like these, and in this case it actually happens to be coinciding with an earnings beat. That’s why we’re interested in signaling both the stock and some options ideas for this one.

We’ll be tracking the BANC Weekly $12.50 and $15 Calls for a short-term idea, and for an extended-term idea, the BANC 11/18 $17.50 and $20 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GEO Options on a Roll & More

The GEO Group, Inc. – Options Review

GEO has earned itself top billing in our report for the second day running, as the stock continued its rebound yesterday, reaching new highs, and pushing our options ideas deeper into the money. Despite multi-bag gains on Friday, we reasserted our interest in continuing to follow them, and it was definitely the right move.

The GEO 09/16 $20 and 22.50 Calls were the targets we introduced on Friday morning, and our observed gains were extended by a healthy margin yesterday as GEO rose to a high of $25 even during the session.

The $20 Calls traded in a range from 4.00 up to 5.12, an intraday swing of 28% and an total two-day increase over our observed low of 1.61 amounting to 211%

The $22.50 Calls traded up from 2.25 to 3.05 running 36% intraday, and representing an overall increase of 251% from Friday’s low of .87.

As we stated yesterday, these ideas should remain good for as long as GEO sustains this strong rebound pattern.

Best Buy Co. Inc. BBY – Fresh Idea

BBY is flying high in the premarket this morning in the wake of its earnings release which contained a major increase in same-store sales for the quarter.

With the type of activity we’re witnessing early on this morning, we’re going to want to signal a range of options calls to observe here as well. Our specific contracts of interest are going to be the BBY Weekly 36.50-39 Calls, which will hold our interest provided that BBY maintains support in the low $36-range on any pullbacks.

First Acceptance Corp. FAC – Bottom-Watch

We’re going to take this opportunity to declare a bottom-watch for FAC, which is currently feeling out its lowest prices in a month after peeling back off of a massive run in late July.

On the chart below, we’ve highlighted the channel between recent swing lows at 1.01 and 1.15 as the area where we’d like to see a bottom-bounce occur, and we’ll have FAC on our radars in the days ahead for the possibility of that occurring.
