Recapping Runners, 5 Fresh Ideas

Monday’s Movers:

We hope that our readers will accept this morning’s newsletter with our apologies. It’s rare that we miss sending out a report on a trading day, but there was a family emergency that prevented us from doing so yesterday. What we’ll do this morning, is circle back around for the ideas we placed on watch in Monday’s report.

We had the PPC 03/15 $30-31 Calls, the DPZ Weekly $455-465 Calls, and the LI Weekly $38-39 Calls. In the case of the PPC and LI Calls, the following figures represent two-day upswings through yesterday, while the DPZ’s indicate only Monday’s run. SoundHound AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOUN) – Recap:

We signaled interest in SOUN on our extended watchlist from the morning of the 15th, and have been really impressed with the move up from 3.11-7.91 that the stock has exhibited in these past couple of weeks. For a NASDAQ to make a 154% run in such a short time span is fairly remarkable.

Midweek Updates, Trio of New Ideas

Midweek Options Recaps:

We offered up a pair of short term and a pair of longer term ideas in our premarket report yesterday, and as is pretty typical, we saw some good movement out of the weekly plays, and not so much instant gratification from those that expire next month. We usually gravitate to those kind of ideas during earnings low periods, and we certainly have been short on big name reporters this week. But we’ll continue to monitor those interests into October, and keep trying to point out whatever looks best to us on a daily basis.

As for yesterday’s weekly plays, which were the CBRL Weekly $70-75 Calls and the BUR Weekly $17.50-15 Puts, we observed the following intraday trading activity and gain potential:

CBRL Weekly $70-75 Calls
$70:
 3.00-4.20 (+40%)
$75: 1.09-2.66 (+144%)
_____

BUR Weekly $17.50-15 Puts
$17.50:
 1.63-1.93 (+18%)
$15: .05-.10 (+100%)

Fresh Options:
SMTC Weekly $22-23 Calls
SPY 09/14 $447-448 Calls
BABA Weekly $87-89 Calls

Extended Watchlist:

SPY Cooks Again, Fresh Plays

Options Reviews:

Our primary mover of the day yesterday involved the SPY Calls that we signaled in yesterday morning’s premarket report. It was the second straight session in a row wherein the markets have put together extremely bullish performances, and that led to some serious gains in the targets we were tracking.

Those potential-filled plays were the SPY 10/05 $370-372 Calls which put forth some very solid daily runs for us. We also want to circle back for the FTNT 10/21 $45-50 Calls, which we slated for observation on Monday morning. Those too have produced notable gains so far as we head through this midweek. The trading ranges and potential gains on these plays have been as follows:

SPY 10/05 $370-372 Calls

$370: 4.28-8.53 (+99%)
$371: 3.66-7.55 (+106%)
$372: 3.08-6.75 (+119%)
_____

FTNT 10/21 $45-50 Calls
$45: 4.59-8.15 (+78%)
$50: 1.60-4.00 (+150%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
HELE 10/21 $95-85 Puts
RPM 10/21 $90-95 Calls
CAT 11/04 $180-185 Calls
