More Sweeping Options Success, Fresh Ideas

A Second Consecutive Clean Options Sweep:

We crushed it on options ideas in Friday morning’s premarket report, setting our readers up with three earnings related trading possibilities, all of which produced big intraday gains. The markets slid all the way until shortly after lunchtime, and then clawed their way back, running into the close, which allowed for great movement in both our bullish and bearish ideas. It was the second straight day where literally everything we highlighted went bananas.

We were tracking the FL Weekly $29-31 Calls, the PANW Weekly $475-487.50 Calls, and the DE Weekly $360-350 Puts, and each and every contract set contained within those ranges recorded large runs, and yielded the chance at the following excellent gain opportunities:

FL Weekly $29-31 Calls
$29:
 1.80-2.80 (+56%)
$30: .87-1.85 (+113%)
$31: .38-.99 (+161%)

Siga Technologies, Inc. SIGA – Update:

It’s always a good idea to copy our daily extended watchlists into your favorite tracking site/software and monitor their activity along with us. Many times they will contain hidden OTC gems like SIGA, which just received FDA approval for intravenous (IV) formulation of its TPOXX® monkeypox treatment. It was even mentioned by name in a recent budget request from the Biden administration for treatments against the rising health threat.

SIGA appeared in Thursday morning’s extended watchlist and saw a low of 8.00 that day. This morning in early trading the stock is up as much as 119% to a premarket high of 17.50. We will continue tracking its movements as the FDA news continues to filter through the investment community.

More Options Success & New Ideas

More Options Gainers:

We only formulated two sets of options ideas for yesterday morning’s premarket report, but we scored pretty well with both of them. Kohls was a post-earnings play, and we had been bearish on the SPY from the get-go this week.

Our exact target ranges were the KSS Weekly $60-62 Calls and the SPY 01/24 $435-432 Puts, and traders could have realized some pretty good profits off of either idea. With the markets continuing their recent downslide until midday, the SPY Puts were the most attractive option on the day.

Here are the total possible gains one could have recorded with those items of interest:

KSS Weekly $60-62 Calls
$60:
3.46-4.90 (+42%)
$61: 2.81-4.23 (+51%)
$62: 1.00-3.73 (+273%)
_____

SPY 01/24 $435-432 Puts
$435: 3.96-14.28 (+261%)
$343: 3.23-13.33 (+313%)
$432: 2.50-11.31 (+252%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
LOGI 02/18 $75-80 Calls
BRO 02/18 $65-70 Calls
AXP Weekly $160-165 Calls

OTC Review:

We also have a couple of plays on the stock side of things that we wanted to provide our readers numbers on this morning. We’ve been tracking UNQL and VTXB for one and two weeks, respectively, and they’ve produced some excellent multibag runs for us during that short time.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: IDXG Recap & More

Interpace Diagnostics Group, Inc. IDXG

We last talked about IDXG on the 16th of last month. (Please excuse us for being currently unable to provide the link to that report like we normally would, as our primary servers are located in Houston, and our service provider is still recovering in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.) Subsequent to that mention, we observed a low of .72 in IDXG, and the run we’ve seen has been pretty impressive.

Yesterday the stock hit 1.73, which represents a 140% increase, and the stock closed with strength just below its high of day, so we’ll be interested to see if there will be further gains in store. The key for IDXG will be to maintain above the NASDAQ minimum bid requirement of a dollar per share on any pullbacks.

Insmed, Inc. INSM – Options Update

We highlighted our interest in a set of options for INSM in yesterday’s report to try to take advantage of the flux in activity caused by the company’s positive Phase III results on its rare lung disease treatment study.

We saw the beginnings of what could be a good idea that we’ll want to continue tracking in the INSM 09/15 $27-30 Calls. The $27’s we’re the only ones that were pushed into the money, and they did manage an intraday run from a low of .95 to 1.60 for a 68% swing on the day. We’ll continue to keep an eye on these contracts if INSM can manage to record higher lows over the next few sessions.
