Hitting on Every Options Play, Fresh Ideas

Another Flawless Options Performance:

The solid run of good fortune we’ve had with earnings this week continued yesterday with notable performances coming from each of the three potential options plays that we highlighted in in our premarket report. Even as the markets have endured some ugly activity, we’ve still been able to generate useful ideas for ourselves and our readers.

The targets that we were tracking were the BBBY Weekly $6.50-7.00 Calls, the KMX 10/21 $75-70 Puts, and the RAD Weekly $7.00-6.50 Puts. In each and every contract set we achieved double bag status or better, so all in all, we would consider that a very fruitful session. Here are the types of gain chances we were working with on the day:

Biggest Options Gainers & More

Options Recaps:

We’ve gotten off to another great start with regard to options trading this week. Yesterday morning in our premarket report, we formulated a couple of ideas, in the THO and UNFI chains on the heels of those companies’ earnings reports.

Despite an extremely poor session for the markets in general yesterday, both of our our ideas, the THO 10/15 $115-120 Calls and the UNFI 10/15 $35-40 Calls, bucked the trend and exhibited multibag gains on the day for us. A strong performance all around no matter which contract set within our targeted ranges was selected.

Here are those excellent multibag intraday moves posted by our plays:

THO 10/15 $115-120 Calls
$115: 4.40-12.70 (+187%)
$120: 2.10-8.70 (+314%)
_____

UNFI 10/15 $35-40 Calls
$35: 5.00-12.32 (+146%)
$40: .1.60-7.57 (+373%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
MU Weekly $72-71 Puts
WOR 10/15 $60-65 Calls

Farmmi, Inc. FAMI

We also would like to designate FAMI as a longer-term bottom bouncer that has the potential to become a solid recovery play.

We are going to radar FAMI for the effort the company is making to get its stock back to the dollar minimum PPS required for continued listing on the NASDAQ. A shareholder letter from the CEO this morning outlined some of the ways that’s happening, including planned acquisitions and more. (>>Read PR)

Interesting Chart Plays:

Also catching our eye this morning are a couple of interesting chart setups in FibroGen, Inc. FGEN and Fastly, Inc. FSLY, and in both cases we will be watching the stocks as well as some potential options ideas.

In the case of FGEN, there are a couple of large gaps to fill to the upside, and over the past couple of sessions the stock has given indication that it may be about to do so. We’re going to be tagging the FGEN 07/16 $27.50-30 Calls for observation.

On FSLY, the gap-fill has occurred this week and the PPS is now on the verge of breaking past the 50DMA with its considerable momentum. We’ll radar the FSLY 06/25 $61-63 Calls.
