We went mostly bullish on our earnings plays from yesterday morning’s premarket report, and despite the markets performing horribly yesterday, we still still managed to see some really nice intraday upswings out of our targeted group, toward the end of the session. They all posted runs of a significant nature into the close, so all in all it was a solid day for us.

We left off on Thursday morning before taking a very rare off-day on Friday, with a slew of potential options ideas for our readers to ride into the end of the week in our absence, and things shook out rather well in most cases. We were faced with rather slim pickings yesterday with regard to the type of big name, large-cap earnings reporters we typically like to take advantage of, but we didn’t let that stop us from picking a couple winners to kick off the trading week. Whenever we get hit with a dry spell for earnings, we always manage to find decent plays in their stead.

The markets ripped on Friday to close out what was a pretty exciting trading week, and as a result, both of the quick-strike options ideas we had included in our premarket report ended up recording some pretty good intraday runs for us.
