Perfect Streak Continues, 4 New Earnings Plays

Flawless Streak Sustained:

We’re pleased to report that we were able to extend our streak of solid options targets with yesterday morning’s premarket report. We haven’t missed on a single pick yet this week, and that’s after coming just a hair’s breath from a perfect week last week! We don’t hold ourselves to perfection as a standard, but it is something we always work for, and often achieve.

We made some good picks for yesterday morning’s premarket report, coming up with four options trading ideas based off of the day’s earnings calendar. It was a mixed bag of calls and puts, and we fared pretty well with the whole lot of them. We’re still in the position of being right in the thick of an active quarterly earnings season, and attempting to take full advantage.

Yesterday’s four plays that turned out to be solid intraday runners were the DDOG Weekly $88-85 Puts, the UPS Weekly $172.50-175 Calls, the LLY Weekly $490-500 Calls, and the IFF 08/18 $65-60 Puts. We put our best foot forward yesterday morning, as we commenced this four day trading week with a big selection of potential options plays. Of the six that we highlighted in our premarket report, five of them produced positive intraday movement and gave traders a chance at some pretty good gains on the session.

Cann American Corp. CNNA – OTC Recap:

We also wanted to quickly give an update on an OTC cannabis play that we flagged for observation two Wednesday’s ago on the 17th. Subsequent to that alert, we have seen as CNNA has risen from a low of .0028, and yesterday the stock hit .0128. That works out to an impressive two-week swing of 357%

Even though we focus primarily on the more exciting world of options trading these days, we always keep our scanners tuned for OTC plays that sometimes make it into our daily extended watchlists, and this has been one of the better targets for us in recent memory.

Monday’s Opportunities, Tuesday’s Fresh Plays

Monday’s Movers:

The week got off to a slow start yesterday, with the markets dipping and a general lack of interesting earnings reports, but we still managed to find some intraday opportunities in a couple of the options ideas we had signaled for observation. We went two for three on the day in our premarket report, which wasn’t too bad under the circumstances.

The ideas that produced intraday movement for us were the SPY 12/05 $405 Calls, and the SAIC 12/16 $110-115 Calls.and those gain chances were moderate but respectable. We also have an update on another set of December 16th calls that we alerted last Monday morning. the RYAN 12/16 $40 Calls, which put together a very nice run over the past week.
