Big Options Gainers, New Earnings Plays

Huge SPY Gains & More:

Yesterday’s trading session was one of extremes. The markets gapped up before dipping early, and running into the Fed meeting, after which there was another precipitous drop-off followed by a late day run into the close. It was a choppy and exciting session, and that late rally pushed the SPY Calls we highlighted in our premarket report to some major league moves.

Those potential plays were the SPY 01/04 $382-383 Calls, and we got some decent intraday push from our other set of targets, the SGH 01/20 $15-17.50 Calls as well. Here were the intraday ranges and total possible gains to be had for both ideas, as well as some new highs on the PLAY 01/20 $35-36 Calls we’ve been on since December 20th:

Playing the SPY Like a Fiddle, Fresh Ideas

SPY Calls Surge on Market Pop:

We had just some daily SPY Calls and a longer term idea in yesterday morning’s premarket report, the latter of which isn’t really primed for an immediate update, but we most certainly came down on the right side of the fence with the SPY. The markets ripped all day long, and provided us with the catalyst for some really nice intraday gain opportunities.

We were tracking the SPY 05/23 $391-393 Calls, and all three of the contract sets contained within recorded huge multibag runs for us. The total possible daily gains were as follows:

SPY 05/23 $391-393 Calls
$391:
 2.04-6.82 (+234%)
$392: 1.58-5.81 (+268%)
$393: 1.19-5.05 (+324%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
NTES Weekly $98-100 Calls
WOOF Weekly $15-16 Calls
ZM Weekly $91.50-93 Calls

Watchlist Runners:

We saw some solid movement out of some of the plays off of yesterday morning’s extended watchlist. CBIO ran following the announcement of a $60M asset sale to Vertex, while GOVX was another stock boosted by the rising concerns over monkeypox, which has officially made its way to the US, and seems to a hot-button catalyst for related plays at the moment. .

GeoVax Labs, Inc. GOVX
Daily Range: 1.65-2.85

April ABNB Calls Streak to New Highs, Fresh Ideas

Another Fruitful Trading Week:

Success with options trading, has, in typical fashion, worked just just like clockwork for us this week. As we prepare to close out another fine trading week here, we maintained the trend of selecting winners in yesterday morning’s premarket report, where we offered up a trio of ideas, and saw quite a bit of positive movement.

We were focused on the OXM 04/14 $80-85 Calls, the SPY 03/25 $444-446 Calls, and the MOMO Weekly $7.50-7.00 Puts. The gains therein were not enormous, but still notable, with the exception of the OXM $80’s which we will omit because they only increased by 8%. In the case of the ABNB 04/01 $160-165 Calls, we signaled those as a longer-term play exactly three weeks ago today on the 4th, and the stock has been on an impressive run since then, logging some serious multi-bag moves in those targets.

SPY 03/25 $444-446 Calls
