Fantastic Friday for Options Plays:

Closing Out the Short Trading Week

Options Review:

The end of holiday week one of two is upon us, and it was a pretty good one in terms of the gain opportunities we observed. We expect a subdued end to this short week, but we wanted to swing back around for a couple of longer-term calls we submitted last week in our reports for December 13th (TSM) and December 15th (TKR).

We were tracking the TSM 01/07 $122-124 Calls and the TKR 01/21 $65-70 Calls, and both sets of ideas have gained some good ground this week. Here are the overall increases we’ve witnessed in those ideas so far:

Options Movers, Fresh Plays & More

Wednesday’s Solid Options Plays:

We’re back to our typical routine this morning, having provided our readers with a variety of post-earnings options ideas in yesterday morning’s premarket report. We simply go where we feel the opportunities will be the greatest, and the volatility following a quarterly report is the most dependable in terms of producing the kind of price action that lends itself to big intraday gains.

Our selection yesterday included the EXPI 08/20 $40-45 Calls, and the ATVI Weekly $82-85 Calls. EXPI made the most impressive move on the chart which led to some really impressive moves on the day. ATVI recorded respectable performances as well even if they didn’t quite keep pace with our hottest runner.

Here were the total positive moves and potential gains that were on the table:

EXPI 08/20 $40-45 Calls
$40: 1.55-8.30 (+435%)
$45: 1.30-4.60 (+254%)
