Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom Watchlist, Options Idea & More

Cannabis Sativa, Inc. CBDS

CBDS was part of our cannabis stock watchlist yesterday, and even as the majority of the sector was seen to be fading, CBDS bucked the trend and produced an excellent intraday opportunity.

We watched as the stock took off like a rocket right at the opening bell from a low of 1.26, and didn’t stop until hitting its 2.45 high-of-day shortly before 11’clock. That works out to a 94% swing and it came on immense volume, to the tune of 23X the 3-month average.

Cheers go out to any of our readers who caught a piece of the action on CBDS, which was the first in a trio of selections from yesterday’s premarket report to produce respectable intraday performances.

Cardinal Resources, Inc. CDNL

Next in line was CDNL, which is a stock that we’ve referenced in our reports on numerous occasions over the past several months. This subpenny runner turned in an intraday rip of 77% as it ran from .0047-.0083 on a little more than twice the average trading volume, and managed to hold the majority of its daily advance into the close at .0074.

It marked the second consecutive big day for the stock trending off of its lowest prices in roughly six months, so we’ll certainly want to continue tracking its activity, watching for it to record higher highs and higher lows in coming sessions.

Celator Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CPXX

We caught CPXX yesterday on the heels of an attention-grabbing PR (link below) which hit wires post-market on Monday afternoon, relating to encouraging results from a late-stage clinical trial. Despite already being up close to 300%, we still felt it warranted a tag in our watchlist, and we weren’t disappointed.

As is often the case in such circumstances, we saw a dip-and-rip unfold early, after which time the stock ran from a low of 6.44 to 9.10, for a solid 41% swing on absolutely massive volume.

Bottom-Watchlist

We’re going to designate the following stocks as bottom-watch plays and reserve a spot on our watchlist for each of them over the next several sessions:

Pernix Therapeutics Holdings, Inc.  PTX
Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, Inc  SNSS
Peak Resorts, Inc.  SKIS
Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide Inc.  QTWW

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. CMG –  Options Idea

We want to throw in a quick options idea this morning as well, and it’s going to come in the form of a short. Specifically, we’re going to be looking at the CMG Weekly $485-475 Puts.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PBR Updates & More

Options Updates

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR

Yesterday morning, we let our readers know we expected more gains out of the PBR options we posted for tracking on Tuesday (PBR 04/01 $4 Calls), and we also provided a couple of weekly contracts to watch as well ($4’s and 4.50’s). As the stock continued its impressive rise, all of those ideas proved to be top-notch.

The 04/01 $4 Calls pushed their upper limit to a high of .89, which from our observed low of .13, marked a three-day swing of 585% as PBR traded up from 3.55 to 4.86.

The $4 and 4.50 Weekly Calls. also enjoyed big surges as well, as the $4’s traded in a range from .19-.80 (+321%), and the $4.50’s absolutely blew their lids, running from .02-.36; an incredible single-session run of 1700%

With PBR having gapped up to reach a high of 5.50 in the premarket this morning, we expect the values on all contracts mentioned to open up considerably higher once again, extending the total gains we’ve seen in the latter half of this week. We’ll also be monitoring $4.50-5.50 Calls today, doing so with extreme caution, which must be exercised by anyone attempting to trade weekly contracts on Friday.

___

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ANF

We also continued our coverage of the ANF Weekly $29-32 Calls in yesterday’s morning report, and the majority of those provided noteworthy intraday opportunities, despite having just delivered gains ranging from 200-386% during the previous session.

The single-session increases on some of those contracts managed to shoot even higher than they did on Wednesday!

$29 Calls – Trading Range: .96-2.20  – Max Gain: 129%
$29.50 Calls – Trading Range: .50-1.73 – Max Gain: 246%
$30 Calls – Trading Range: .30-1.32 – Max Gain: 340%
$30.50 Calls – Trading Range:   .26-.82 – Max Gain: 215%
$31 Calls – Trading Range: .08-.45 – Max Gain: 463%

Rejuvel Bio-Sciences, Inc. NUUU

The options plays weren’t the only calls from yesterday morning’s premarket report to post serious intraday moves on the day. We’ve been tracking NUUU for a couple of weeks now, and the decision to include it in our watchlist yesterday was a great one.

After dipping to a daily low of .0026, the stock enjoyed a healthy surge to a .0065 high-of-day, representing a move of 150% Cheers to those of our readers who were able to catch that timely alert!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Update & Much More

Amedica Corp. AMDA

After providing us with the chance for intraweek gains of 61% last week, as we were mentioning in yesterday’s morning report, AMDA turned in another healthy performance for the day.

From a morning low of .58, the stock pressed to a new high of .70; a 21% intraday move, and this morning the stock is gapping up once again. As of this morning’s premarket high, the total range we’ve now observed in AMDA in just a week’s time stands at 102% from last Tuesday’s low of .3851.

Yesterday’s solid showing also marked the fifth consecutive trading day that AMDA managed to register higher lows and higher highs. We’ll continue to track its activity as the week progresses. A dip-and-rip off of this morning’s new high is a distinct possibility.

Under Armour, Inc. UA – Options Update

UA was a point of focus for us on Friday morning, at which time we submitted a medium-term options idea for the stock, namely the 07/31 $84 Calls. We wanted to provide an update on the subsequent performance of those contracts, which managed a notable increase between Friday and yesterday.

From a low of 2.76, the July $84’s have traded as high as 3.53 thus far. That hashes out to total possible gains of 28% over just a couple of trading sessions. With plenty of time left until expiration, we’ll be sure to keep a slot reserved for those contracts from this point forward.

TapImmune, Inc. TPIV

We’ve been tracking TPIV for nearly two weeks now. We tagged it for the first time on June 10th, and we slipped a reminder into Friday’s report as well.

We certainly hope those alerts caught someone’s attention, because TPIV has certainly caught ours; yesterday’s high of 1.23 represented a 28% jump from the low following Friday’s alert (.962) and an overall increase of 71% from the low following our initial alert (.72).

Sipp Industries, Inc. SIPC

SIPC is catching our attention this morning after announcing the addition of “Hemp co-packing, storage, distribution, and private label solutions to product offering.” in an early PR. It caused us to take notice of the chart, which is currently boasting an attractive setup with regard to its potential as a bottom-play. We’re going to keep a close eye on SIPC as we head into mid-week.

Extended Watchlist:
PHMD, BIND, NSPR, TBIO, BBRY

SPWR, BIOF, PEIX & Extended Watchlist

SunPower Corp. SPWR

SPWR made a move of over 20% yesterday, so we wanted to add it to our watchlist today. We like a good alternative energy play, especially the way a hot-trading big board in the sector can influence the performance of other related stocks. We find that traders tend to follow the natural trends in the alternative energy field, so today, in addition to SPWR, we will be focusing on a few other energy stocks that could be in for a price boost.

___

BioFuel Energy Corp. BIOF &  Pacific Ethanol, Inc. PEIX

We’ve grown accustomed to mentioning these two stocks in the same breath. These ethanol plays have brought us several rounds of gains in the past, and they tend to trend together. With SPWR running yesterday we were sure to direct our attention toward BIOF and PEIX as well, and sure enough, both finished out the day in the green.

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

PLUG is an energy play that went on an extreme backslide yesterday, tanking to .12 from the previous day’s close at .25. While remaining very cautious, there may be a bottom-bounce opportunity with PLUG, so we are presenting it today as a potential recovery play.

Medical Marijuana Round-Up Report Vol. IV

It’s time again for yet another installment of our Medical Marijuana Round-Up Report, when we take a look at all of the plays that we’ve been tracking for the past several months in the rapidly burgeoning cannabis industry. Since early this fall, we have been able to achieve incredible percentage gains from this group of cannabis stocks:

Hemp, Inc. HEMP

When we initially began covering HEMP, the stock was as low as .027. It made a solid run all the way up to .09 before consolidating to bounce off of .037, at which point we saw another jump to .065. Consolidation occurred yet again, however it has rarely dipped below our price at coverage initiation of .027.

Yesterday, the stock surged as much as 37%, running into resistance at the 50DMA (also the HOD) of .037. It ended up closing at .034, a 23% gain on the day. In order to see some added gains here we need to breach the 100 & 50DMA’s at .036 & .037.
___

Medical Marijuana, Inc. MJNA

MJNA has been a freight train over the past several days; we’ve seen positive moves every single day this week. Having broken through it’s previous high in the .16’s on Wednesday, the stock entered blue-sky breakout mode, and has traded extremely high volume over the past three sessions.

There is a lot of momentum in this stock, however when we do see a pullback, we’d like to have the previous resistance level at .162 hold as a future level of support. Below that, we have the 20DMA as support at .14. Volume of this magnitude for the latter portion of the week, is sure to spill over into Monday, so it is highly likely that MJNA will be at or near the tops of our watchlists.

___

Cannabis Science, Inc. CBIS

The first time we mentioned CBIS, we saw a 150% spike from .04-.10. Since then it has held support at .048, and yesterday we had a high, momentum-fueled bounce. The stock broke through the 20, 50 & 100DMA’s and ran into resistance at the 200DMA of .06, where it closed. That represents a gain of 25% from our recent support level.

CBIS is originator the Phytiva line of hemp-based products that was recently acquired by our next big winner, XCHC.

___

X-Change Corporation XCHC

We began talking about XCHC on Monday, having not dropped our focus from it all week, and were duly rewarded for our persistence. Monday’s session brought a move opened from .0699 to .079 (+13%), pulled back to a low of .056, before running back to .0699 (+25%), bringing in a total of 38% on our first day of coverage.

On Wednesday it saw a low of .0521, and surged rapidly yesterday to hit a high of .075, representing an added gain of 44%, and bringing our cumulative gains for the week to a very respectable 82%

Yesterday’s News:

DALLAS, Jan. 31, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — X-Change Corporation (OTCQB:XCHC), a U.S. publicly-traded company, through its European joint venture with Dupetit Natural Products, GmbH, announces that within one week the Company will move into the testing stage of development of its unique hemp-based Phytiva brand of products, as the Company prepares to bring these products to European and North American markets.

___

Foy-Johnston, Inc. FOYJ
While not cannabis-related, we had to make a quick mention of FOYJ, our point of focus for yesterday’s session. We began monitoring the stock on Jan.14-15th when it appeared in our extended watchlist with a price as low as .0006.

Yesterday FOYJ gapped up to .0019 from the previous day’s close of .0014. It ran to .0024 before it dipped to low of .0013, and followed that with a bounce as high as .0018. For the ones lucky enough to catch the .0006 bottom, you could have been looking at gains in excess of 300% at yesterday’s high. During that process, savvy timing on subsequent bounces could have brought gains of as much as 65%
