Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CGC Review & More

Canopy Growth Corp. CGC

We are incredibly proud of our alert on CGC a few weeks ago. The company had just seen its large investor, beverage behemoth Constellation Brands (STZ) had increased its stake Canopy by more than $4B.

This was a key factor in our formulation of the idea to track the CGC 09/21 $30-40 Calls, which we presented to our readers on the morning of August 15th. At the time, CGC stock was trading at a low of 29.05. The bull run which followed has been an absolute thing of beauty. This morning in the premarket, CGC stock has traded for as much as 57.05, marking a rise of 96% in a matter of three weeks.

That incredible move up has facilitated some unbelievably large gains in our designated call contracts. Their overall ranges and possible gains over that time span are as follows:

$30 Calls – Range: 1.76-21.82 – Max Gain: 1140%
$35 Calls – Range: .56-17.30 – Max Gain: 2989%
$40 Calls – Range: .16-12.30 – Max Gain: 7587%

Fun Fact: The purchase of ONE contract for $16 at the $40 strike point on the day of our initial alert, would have been worth $1214 at its highs this morning!  Cheers to anyone who has gotten even a piece of that action!

Added Note: Canopy Growth is of course a cannabis related stock, so while we’re on the subject, here’s watchlist of lower priced pot plays to also watch as we head into autumn, traditionally one of the best times of year for the cannabis sector as a whole.

NXTTF, MYMMF, APHQF, RVVTF, TBPMF, SPRWF, INSY, CRON

Lululemon Athletica LULU – Recap

We offered up a range of contracts in the LULU chain to watch on Friday on the heels of the company’s earnings drop, the LULU Weekly $149-152.50 Calls.

MannKind Corp. MNKD

We’ve been following MNKD for quite a long while, that’s why at the end of last month when we saw the stock fall to its lowest PPS since before the huge run back in the fall, we immediately signaled it as a bottom-watch play.

That was the morning of December 22nd, just prior to the holiday break. The stock saw its low of 2.30 the following session, on December 26th, and has since recovered much of the ground it had lost. Yesterday, possibly as the result of a short squeeze, the stock soared to a high of 4.05. That works out to a respectable 76% upswing in just one month’s time.

It remains to be seen if the stock can retest the impressive highs we saw from it back in October.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NBEV Recap & More

New Age Beverages Corp. NBEV

It was back on the 9th of this month that we selected NBEV as a potential bottom play, and wanted to kick off the week by swinging back around to recap the excellent move the stock has made for us thus far.

After seeing a low of 2.11 on the morning of our initial alert, the stock has continually risen over the eight sessions since, touching a high of 4.24 on Friday. That represents a very nice 101% move, while volume over the same period has been notably increased. We’ll continue to monitor the progress here in coming sessions.

PetMed Express Inc. PETS

Speaking of steady risers, we’ve watched PETS for quite awhile now, having mentioned it for the first time in our report from the morning of September 11th.

Subsequent to that report, we observed a low of 32.90 and despite already being a thirty dollar stock, we’ve still seen it increase gradually and significantly, culminating at Friday’s high of 53.89. That marks a 64% increase, which is absolutely fantastic for a stock in this price range.

We’ll be interested to see how the stock is affected by the company’s solid premarket earnings release today. It’s gapping up in early trading and it appears we will see our observed highs boosted yet again.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: XXII Update & More

22nd Century Group, Inc. XXII

It was back on November 7th that we highlighted a large group of cannabis stocks, and professed our unyielding interest in the space as a whole. XXII was among those that we specifically highlighted as promising pot stocks in that report, and despite it being more than 8 weeks later, the stock has continually bulled its ways to new highs ever since.

We wanted to swing back around this morning to outline the excellent run it has been on since November. Subsequent to our report on the 7th the stock saw an absolute bottom of 2.00 even before beginning its months-long ascent. Yesterday the stock reached yet another new high of 3.85, marking an overall upswing of 93%

Yield10 Bioscience, Inc. YTEN

Following a huge single session run in early December, YTEN was unable to hold onto any of the ground it had gained, and with the ‘help’ of a massive public offering, continued to descend until recently.

This week, the stock has begun to show signs of a bottom bounce, and we’re going to want to add it to the radar on a recovery watch. As you can see form the chart snapshot included below, there is a lot of room for a potential surge, including a gap to fill to the upside.
