Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Review

Options Review

We dedicated yesterday’s premarket newsletters to our Special Report, so we wanted to circle back this morning to go over a couple of options ideas we submitted to our readers on Tuesday morning.

We had identified plays in the ULTA and MKC options chains following a Form-4 Alert and an earnings report, respectively, and in both cases we met with fantastic multi-bag gain opportunities. Here were the total possible profits on the table:

ULTA 11/01 $260-265 Calls
$260 Calls – Range: 4.00-13.30 – Max Gain: 233%
$262.50 Calls – Range: 2.60-12.50 – Max Gain: 381%
$265 Calls – Range: 2.80-11.25 – Max Gain: 302%
_____

MKC Weekly $155-160 Calls

$155 Calls – Range: 5.58-13.58 – Max Gain: 143%
$160 Calls – Range: 2.82-9.12 – Max Gain: 223%
_____

Fresh Options Idea:
PEP Weekly $134-136 Calls

American Renal Associates Holdings, Inc. ARA

We also want to place ARA on watch as a possible bottom bounce play. The stock has never been much lower than where it’s currently trading, has a recently history of sharp spikes, and indications that a significant rebound could be on the way. We’ll keep an eye peeled for such activity over the next several sessions.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: EXCLUSIVE AMPG INTERVIEW

AmpliTech Group, Inc. AMPG

We’ve been keeping track of AMPG for ten weeks now, and not only did the stock make a run from .043 to .084 during that time, but it has managed to hold more than half of those gains upon consolidation, and has held firm in the .065-.075 area.

For a company that, for the time being, is rather small in size, AmpliTech has serviced some big accounts in both the government and private sectors. The company’s RF signal amplifiers are top of the line in terms of noise reduction effectiveness, and AMPG exhibited its wares at a recent high profile conference.

We were pleased to attend the 2019 International Microwave Symposium in Boston, Massachusetts last week, where we got the opportunity to sit down and conduct a face-to-face interview with Fawad Maqbool, the CEO of AmpliTech. We highly recommend that you take a few moments to check it out.

RH, Inc. RH – Recap

Our bearish options trading idea from yesterday’s report turned out to be our bigger winner for the day. We selected the  RH Weekly $120-118 Puts even after the company posted a solid beat on Q1 earnings and raised guidance.

It might have seemed like a counter-intuitive choice to some, but we had good reason. The stock was gapping up way too high in the premarket. We predicted that it would fall after the open, and it turned out to be the right hunch.

The following intraday gains were made possible by our idea:

RH Weekly $120-118 Puts
$120 Puts: 3.80-8.40 (+121%)
$119 Puts: 3.90-6.75 (+73%)
$118 Puts: 3.00-6.29 (+110%)

____

Fresh Options Idea:
AVGO Weekly $252.50-257.50 Calls

Important: DO NOT attempt to trade options contracts with a weekly expiration on a Friday unless you are an advanced level trader with access to disposable funds.

Winnebago Industries, Inc. WGO - Options Recap

We took notice of Winnebago’s impressive earnings beat yesterday morning and promptly formulated a range of options ideas to try to take advantage of the situation.

$54 Calls – Range: 2.00-3.60 – Max Gain: 80%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FL Recap & More

Footlocker, Inc. FL – Recap

On Friday, we cited a big profit and sales beat on Foot Locker’s Q1 earnings report, noting that we have had good luck with the company’s earning chain in the past. Our designated targets were the FL 06/15 $52.50-55 Calls. Lightning struck for us once again as FL surged and our ideas took off.

The $52.50 Calls ran hard from a low of 1.30 and subsequently hit a high of 4.50. That works out to a daily rip of 246% Meanwhile, the $55 Calls went on a slightly more intense ride, trading in a range from .65-2.54 for total possible intraday gains of 291%

ArQule, Inc. ARQL
It was just this past Wednesday morning that we were mentioning our late April call on ARQL which allowed us to catch the stock when it was trading as low as 2.40. ARQL had, at the time of last week’s mention, breached into the four-dollar range, but after a fruitful finish to the week, we have to circle back to comment on its impressive new highs.

In its fifth consecutive trading day of posting higher lows and higher highs, the stock reached a new high of 5.29, pushing our one month observed increase on the stock to 120%

Tintri, Inc. TNTR

We also want to place TNTR on bottom watch as we kick off the short trading week, after noticing that the stock has been absolutely crushed in the past week. It had already been on a steady downward trajectory, but as you can see below, the selloff really kicked into high gear just last week.

We’ve also noticed a rapid rise in the short volume, accounting for more than 1.2M of the stocks total volume on Friday. With the stock already having been egregiously oversold, this type of scenario can often lead to a short squeeze, and we will want to be ready to ride TNTR on the way back up, if that occurs.
