Tuesday’s Recaps, Today’s Fresh Ideas

Recap For Tuesday Plays:

While the markets certainly pulled a head fake yesterday, stair-stepping down for the majority of the session after an early morning gap-up, we still managed to see some marginal gain opportunities in the daily options ideas we put in yesterday’s premarket report. While the gain chances in the SPY and others were slightly muted compared to what we usually achieve, our FLNC Calls clearly stole the show with an excellent multibag performance.

Our specific areas of interest for Tuesday were the SPY 12/13 $407-410 Calls, the ORCL Weekly $82.50-85 Calls, the CNM Weekly $22.50 Calls, and the FLNC Weekly $17.50 Calls. The rundown of the moves they and the total possible profits associated with those, were as follows:

More Options Runners, Earnings Plays

KMX, SPY Options Recaps:

We had even more continued success with our options ideas as we reached the halfway point of this 4-day trading week yesterday, including the third successful flip on our attitudes toward the SPY, which has been very kind to us this week. The day ended with some nice results from the two sets of plays we designated for observation.

We were looking at the KMX Weekly $105-97.50 Puts, which put up some really nice figures, and the SPY 04/12 $441-444 Calls, which ran out of the gate and posted some more modest yet still very respectable gains early in the session.

The trading ranges and total potential profits that could have been banked off of those ideas were as follows:

KMX Weekly $105-97.50 Puts
$105: 4.50-11.76 (+161%)
$100: 1.65-6.80 (+312%)

Going Bearish on Earnings Reporters

Options Review:

We’ve been back on our Midas Touch options trading business over the last several sessions, and yesterday morning was no different. We were just patting ourselves on the back for 100% accuracy on the previous session’s bangers, and we managed to do it again to start this holiday-shortened week.

We signaled ranges on a couple of plays, highlighting the SPY 11/22 $469-470 Calls, as well as going short on the CRNC 12/17 $105-95 Puts. Both turned out to be excellent notions, and the board was fully green for yet another day. The end of this week will be rather subdued, with a day off for Thanksgiving and just a half trading day for Black Friday, so it’s good we’re getting these in now.

Here are the total possible profits that could have been banked off of yesterday’s targets:

SPY 11/22 $469-470 Calls
$469:
 1.99-4.50 (+126%)
$470: .62-2.40 (+287%)
_____

CRNC 12/17 $105-95 Puts
$105: 15.00-22.46 (+50%)
$100: 9.70-18.20 (+88%)
$95: 6.00-13.49 (+125%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
URBN Weekly $35-33 Puts
DLTR Weekly $132-130 Puts
BBY Weekly $122-119 Puts

PEP Options Review, SPY Calls & More

PepsiCo, Inc. PEP – Options Recap:

We had a quick-strike idea based off of PEP earnings in yesterday morning’s premarket report. It was basically the only game in town on the earnings front, as we continue to trudge along through an extremely dry period. As we’ve mentioned in previous newsletters recently, this earnings drought will persist until the week of the 18th.

Our sole set of earnings play targets were the PEP Weekly $149-152.50 Calls, and those produced some very respectable intraday gain opportunities on the day for ourselves and our readers. Multibag runs were recorded by all three contract sets.

PEP Weekly $149-152.50 Calls
$149:
 1.84-3.51 (+91%)
$150: 1.19-2.73 (+129%)
$152.50: .28-1.04 (+271%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SPY 10/08 $430-431 Calls

VizConnect, Inc. VIZC – Recap:

We’re also going to take a minute to relay the move made by VIZC, a subpenny stock that we flagged a couple of times last month beginning on the morning of the 10th.

The stock traded for as little as .0031 subsequent to our alert. During yesterday’s session it recorded a new high of .0072. That works out to an increase of 132% over our observed low.
