Big Options Gainers, New Earnings Plays

Huge SPY Gains & More:

Yesterday’s trading session was one of extremes. The markets gapped up before dipping early, and running into the Fed meeting, after which there was another precipitous drop-off followed by a late day run into the close. It was a choppy and exciting session, and that late rally pushed the SPY Calls we highlighted in our premarket report to some major league moves.

Here were the intraday ranges and total possible gains to be had for both ideas, as well as some new highs on the PLAY 01/20 $35-36 Calls we’ve been on since December 20th:

Massive Options Gainers:

It was a mixed bag kind of a session for us yesterday, having gone half-and-half on options ideas, bullish and bearish. As a result of the huge day the markets had yesterday, it was the bullish targets that produced notable moves for us on the day.

Those calls that ended up posting huge numbers were the DPZ Weekly $315-325 Calls, and the DAL Weekly $29-29.50 Calls. As you can see below, Domino’s put forth a really good show, as every set in our observed range rattled off absolutely massive multibag runs. The gains we saw in the Delta plays were fairly on-par with those as well, registering big multibag moves themselves. Here’s the breakdown of those enormous gainers:

DPZ Weekly $315-325 Calls
$315:
 5.06-21.23 (+320%)
$320: 2.55-15.06 (+491%)
$325: 1.60-11.49 (+618%)

DAL Weekly $29-29.50 Calls

UNH Weekly $510-515 Calls*
NTNX Weekly $24-25 Calls*
SPY 10/14 $366-368 Calls*

SPY Cooks Again, Fresh Plays

Options Reviews:

Our primary mover of the day yesterday involved the SPY Calls that we signaled in yesterday morning’s premarket report. It was the second straight session in a row wherein the markets have put together extremely bullish performances, and that led to some serious gains in the targets we were tracking.

Those potential-filled plays were the SPY 10/05 $370-372 Calls which put forth some very solid daily runs for us. We also want to circle back for the FTNT 10/21 $45-50 Calls, which we slated for observation on Monday morning. Those too have produced notable gains so far as we head through this midweek. The trading ranges and potential gains on these plays have been as follows:

SPY 10/05 $370-372 Calls

$370: 4.28-8.53 (+99%)
$371: 3.66-7.55 (+106%)
$372: 3.08-6.75 (+119%)
_____

FTNT 10/21 $45-50 Calls
$45: 4.59-8.15 (+78%)
$50: 1.60-4.00 (+150%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
HELE 10/21 $95-85 Puts
RPM 10/21 $90-95 Calls
