Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SPY Keeps Producing

SPY Keeps Winning

Yesterday morning in our premarket report, we had just wrapped up with our recap of Friday’s multi-bag winning SPY Calls, and of course we rolled the dice again. We issued an alert for some fresh SPY ideas, and were rewarded with the chance at some serious intraday gains late in the session.

Of the three contracts in the range of the SPY Weekly $295-296 Calls, it was the $295 and $295.50’s that produced the eye-popping moves. The $295’s traded in a range from .08 to .74, an 825% rip, while the $295.50’s blasted off on a run from .03-.31, for a gain of 933%

Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. NUS

We’re also interested in putting NUS on watch as a possible longer term, swing trade candidate. The chart is technically attractive, with the stock testing its 50DMA briefly yesterday. The volatility ppotential is there, and it has the makings of what could be a good rebound play.

We’re going to place the NUS 09/28 $50-55 Calls on watch. A break past that 50DMA, even the likes of what occurred toward the beginning of last month, would mean ample opportunity in our designated range.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Watch Plays & More

Ford Motor Co. F
Ford is the first of a couple of bottom-watch plays we want to signal for observation as we kick off a fresh trading week. The month of January was rough for the Detroit automaker, bringing a precipitous fall into heavily oversold territory.

We are just now, in February, beginning to see the signs of a recovery. As you can see on the snapshot of the chart below, the stock has just started to come off of being oversold and bounce off of its lowest PPS since August. The MACD also appears to be converging for an upcoming cross, and there’s a gap to the upside as well.

We’ll look to take advantage of this setup by tracking the F 03/02 10.37-11.37 Calls in the days and weeks ahead.

BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Inc. BMRN

Another potential bottom play we want to look at this morning is BMRN, which also recently has been beaten down to what we feel are unsustainable low levels. We’re getting a heavy multiple-bottom signal as the strength index is tumbling toward extremely oversold territory.

The look of the MACD suggests some further decrease or sideways trading could occur, which is why we’ll want to look at a set of extended term options contracts, the BMRN 03/16 $80 & 85 Calls. With over a month until expiration, that should give us ample time for the stock to realize the recovery it appears to be building toward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AAPL Update & More

Apple, Inc. AAPL – Options Recap

The current earnings season really kicked into high gear for us yesterday with our signal on AAPL. To go along with the activity we were observing in the premarket just formulated an options trading idea with the AAPL Weekly $125-127 Calls, and were ultimately met with chances for huge gains across the board.

Regardless of which strike price was chosen within that range, multi-bag gains were there for the taking:

$125 Calls – Range: 1.18-5.00 – Max Gain: 324%
$126 Calls – Range: 1.36-4.46 – Max Gain: 228%
$127 Calls – Range: .61-3.55 – Max Gain: 482%
$128 Calls – Range: .45-2.61 – Max Gain: 480%

We were obviously very pleased with our calls and the intraday opportunities they provided, and  have no problem simply walking away after such a bang-up session. That being said, we’ll go ahead and continue to track the activity over the remaining two sessions this week, just for good measure.

FRESH IDEA:

Facebook, Inc. FB – Continuing our ride on the earnings train, we’re going to signal a range of options in the FB chain on the heels of yesterday’s post-market earnings report.

Our target range today is going to be the FB Weekly $133-136 Calls.

Alkame Holdings, Inc. ALKM

Last week as we were following ALKM, mentioning it in all three reports from the 25th-27th, we witnessed a low of .0014. Yesterday, the stock broke out on mega-volume running to a high of .004 where it also closed, having traded 6X its 30-day average volume.

It worked out to a week-over-week increase of 186%  We’re also going to want to continue keeping tabs on ALKM after yesterday’s strong close.
