Blue Horseshoe Stocks: VDRM, ABVG & More

ViaDerma, Inc. VDRM

VDRM was the first of a pair of plays from yesterday morning’s extended watchlist. The stock enjoyed a gradually increased PPS over the course of the entire session, and ran into the closing bell with strength.

VDRM’s daily trading range was from .0145 to .03, which works out to an intraday pop of 107%  The double-bag move came on well over twice the 3-month average volume, and as stated above, VDRM ran into the close, so we’re going to be maintaining our watch over the stock for the time being, looking for it to record higher lows and higher highs once again.

Affinity Beverage Group, Inc. ABVG

The other item of interest from yesterday’s premarket watchlist was ABVG, which also commanded a fantastic performance which led to a doubling in PPS.

ABVG ran a cool 100% from its super-subpenny low of .0007 right up to a subpenny high of .0014. Like the aforementioned play, it closed very near to its high-of-day, and did so on immense volume. To be exact, ABVG traded 13 times as many shares as its 3-month average, so we will also have room on our watchscreens for this one in sessions ahead.

Michael Kors Holdings Ltd. KORS – Options Idea

With KORS disappointing on Q3 revenue, as well as issuing shaky guidance, the stock is taking a hit in early trading here in the premarket.

Accordingly, we are going to want to signal a range of bearish options to monitor in the event that an even more precipitous decline is in the cards. We’ll be watching the KORS Weekly $39-36 Puts closely, and choosing our specific strike point/s based upon how the activity unfolds once these earnings revelations are traded upon during regular hours.

FRESH IDEA: Hasbro, Inc. HAS

On the heels of an impressive earnings beat this morning, we’re going to be shifting our options-trading focus to Hasbro, and the HAS Weekly $88-92 Calls.

OTHER UPDATES

Cerulean Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CERU -Another item of interest for us on Friday was CERU, which we noted, based on a number of factors, seemed primed for a breakout at any time. As it turned out, that time was immediately upon the opening bell, as CERU shot up quickly from a low of 1.11 up to 1.68, for a 51% rip.

CERU did consolidate into the close at 1.30, but with Friday’s major spike in volatility, and the sheer immensity of the volume that came pouring into the stock on the order of 39X the 3-month average, we’ll be sure to continue to track its movements as we kick off a new trading week.
______

Sugarmade, Inc. SGMD – Rounding off Friday’s solid performers was SGMD. This was a first-time mention for us, and it made a pretty good first impression with a notable intraday push.

The stock rose from a low of .11 and ran as high as .1494, marking a move of 36% It also signaled the fourth consecutive session that the stock has recorded higher highs and higher lows. Between that, and a strong close with which SGMD maintained more than half of its daily advance, and we’re very interested to keep following this particular play.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Fresh Options Ideas, LEXG & More

Lithium Exploration Group, Inc. LEXG

We’ve been tracking the activity in LEXG for quite a time, and the volatility and price action in this play has provided for us on more than one occasion.

Yesterday was yet another of those occasions, with the stock putting in a solid performance. LEXG traded in a range from .0036-.0045, an intraday move of 25% which came on a little over thrice the monthly average volume.

The moves we’ve seen since putting LEXG on watch in December have been significantly more impressive as well. We saw a low of .0013 around the holidays, putting our overall observed increase in just over three weeks at 246%

Options Ideas

We’ve been so wrapped up in tracking various stocks over the first couple weeks of 2017, that the following will be our first options ideas of the year!

Netflix, Inc. NFLX –  NFLX has been generally trending upward for around two months, hitting new all-time highs this week. Yesterday’s earnings and updates, including the fact that the streaming giant had added a record 7 million new subscribers over the last quarter.

We want to potentially take advantage of a continued run, even if its preceded by a dip-and-rip pattern. As long as it holds support above the $139 mark, we’re going to interested in tracking the NFLX Weekly  $139-143 Calls.

_____

Tesla Motors, Inc. TSLA – TSLA is another big board stock that has been on a bullish tear of late. The stock has been stacking gains on top of gains over the past 6 weeks.

This morning, it received an upgrade from Morgan Stanley, and we’ll hope to use that added attention to see some more good moves in the stock. Accordingly, we’ll have the TSLA Weekly $240-245 Calls on watch today and tomorrow.
