Tuesday’s Runners, Four Fresh Ideas

Tuesday’s Solid Options Gainers:

We were fairly light on earnings reporters yesterday morning, and not much was jumping out to us during our morning scans. This resulting in our only setting forth potential ideas for two options chains. That being said, we did see the opportunity for some very nice intraday profits with both of those ideas.

The newly presented targets in our premarket report were the GFS 11/18 $60 Calls, and the DD Weekly $62-64 Calls. Despite the longer period prior to expiration, it was the GFS Calls for next week that blasted off and provided us with a huge multibag gain chance.

GFS 11/18 $60 Calls
$60:
 1.00-4.20 (+320%)
_____

DD Weekly $62-64 Calls
$62: 3.30-5.62 (+70%)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NOUV Update & More

 Nouveau Life Pharmaceuticals, Inc. NOUV

As if the two-day, 1102% swing we had already witnessed from NOUV between Thursday and Friday weren’t enough, the stock continued to show volatility with a nice intraday move yesterday following its inclusion in our morning report.

NOUV traded in a range from .0046 up to .008, marking an intraday rip of 74% which came on roughly eight times the 3-month average volume. It also closed having held more than half of its daily advance, which puts us on alert to continue monitoring its activity as we progress through the week.

***Participate in our daily traders chats via Skype! The NOUV pick came courtesy of one of our regular participants in the room last week. It doesn’t matter if you’ve just started trading, or if you’ve been doing it for ages, all of our readers are most welcome. Simply send a Skype contact request to username: ‘stocksumo’ and join us!

New Gold, Inc. NGD

We want to place NGD on an extended bottom-watch after the activity which has transpired over the past few sessions. The stock fell off of a cliff, dropping more than a third of its total value in less than a full trading week. The move comes in conjunction with the announcement that production costs per ounce would rise in 2017, as well as the company coming up short on financing for the buildout of its ‘Rainy River’ mine by more than $100M.

While those are certainly noteworthy occurrences, we look at the rapid drop-off in PPS more as an opportunity to get some skin in the game at a discounted price. We’ll be watching NGD closely for a reversal, which admittedly might not happen right away, but could be quite a prime rebound opportunity when it does.

It’s worth mentioning that despite production costs per ounce rising from just under $700 to more than $800 for NGD, even at the higher figure, it still places them well in the profitability range (gold currently trading for, and at a significantly lower cost than many mining outfits.

Wal-mart Stores, Inc. WMT – Options Idea

Speaking of longer-term ideas, we’re looking at WMT this morning after the stock posted a near 9-month low on Friday, followed by a bullish candle to kick the week off yesterday.

It comes on the heels of the news that the retail giant had fired a shot across Amazon’s bow, with the revelation that it would be offering free two-day shipping on over 2 million items via Walmart.com, which cuts Amazon Prime’s main incentive off at the knees.

We’ll be very interested to see how the market responds to such a development over a longer time frame. In correlation, we’re going to be monitoring the activity in the WMT 03/03 $68-69.50 Calls in the days and weeks ahead.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Fresh Options Plays & More

DryShips, Inc. DRYS – Update

We wanted to start things off this morning by providing an update and some reactive commentary on DRYS, whose massive surge from early this week was stopped in its tracks yesterday.

After the mammoth run we tracked it over from 13.60 on Monday to Tuesday’s high of 102.00 (+650%), the stock was halted, and only resumed trading yesterday. What followed was a massive selloff that we did caution would be forthcoming in Wednesday’s report, stating that we’d want to be ready to take advantage of a potential dip-and-rip when that occurred.

That’s why we wanted to remind our readers of the situation today, and put the stock on bottom-watch. Rebounds are often proportional to the surges that preceded them, and if that holds true here, the bounce on DRYS when it reverses could be significant.

Solaris Power Cells, Inc. SPCL

Next up is SPCL, which we began watching for a bottom on Tuesday, and after realizing that bottom the following session, the stock has made quite a respectable move. It traded in a range from it’s low of .0041 on Wednesday, to a new high of .0098 yesterday.

That worked out to a two-day swing of 139% We’ll continue to monitor this play, and will look for the registering of higher lows and a breach from subpenny into penny territory.

Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN – Options Idea

We’re taking a look at Amazon this morning for a possible options play. The stock has been building a nice head of steam over the past few sessions, and appears to want to continue that trend today. To take advantage in the event of a continued uptrend, we’ll signal a range of options contracts, the AMZN Weekly $757.50-762.50 Calls.

*Please remember that highly-experienced options traders are the only people who should ever attempt to trade weekly expiring options on a Friday.
