Closing Out Another Excellent Trading Week

Solid Options Sweep:

We posted another clean sweep on options ideas in yesterday’s premarket report, offering up a pair of fresh ideas, and knocking them both out of the park with multi-bag gain opportunities on the day!

We were specifically targeting the DRI 10/15 $155-160 Calls and the ACN Weekly $337.50-342.50 Calls,  on the heels of the companies’ earnings reports. Despite being in a relative down-period for earnings reporters, we have been able to work with what we’ve got.

Here are the total possible intraday gains that were on the table for those ideas yesterday:

DRI 10/15 $155-160 Calls
$155: 5.00-10.22 (+104%)
$160: 1.85-6.70 (+262%)
_____

ACN Weekly $337.50-342.50 Calls
$337.50: 2.63-7.30 (+178%)
$340: 1.40-5.40 (+286%)
$342.50: .90-3.00 (+233%)

Eargo, Inc. EAR – Bottom Watch:

We’re also looking at a possible long term recovery play in EAR, which got severely beaten up yesterday with a major gap-down. It may end up being a decent bottom play for the stock itself but we’re going to signal a longer-term options idea to track as well, in the EAR 11/19 $7.50-10 Calls.

Fresh Options Ideas:
NKE Weekly $155-152.50 Puts*
COST Weekly $452.50-457.50 Calls*
SKX Weekly $48-46 Puts*

*Do not attempt to trade options contracts on their day of expiration unless you are an advanced level trader with access to disposable funds

Final 09/22 SPY Calls Review:

As we were just mentioning yesterday morning, our tag of the SPY 09/22 $436-438 Calls in Tuesday’s premarket report, provided us with some very nice opportunities. We reported Tuesday’s gains on these contracts that expired yesterday afternoon, and cautioned that they could very well register new highs before the end of the day. That’s precisely what occurred, as the S&P made sharp advances right from the opening bell.

Slightly larger gains could have been available intraday if you *only* caught yesterday’s report, but the following figures represent the largest possible gains for those who may have taken an interest on the previous morning of our initial alert:

SPY 09/22 $436-438 Calls
$436: 1.51-4.18 (+177%)
$437: 1.15-3.25 (+183%)
$438: .84-2.42 (+188%)
_____

We also had a pair of fresh options trading ideas in yesterday morning’s report, in the form of the SFIX Weekly $38-41 Calls and the GIS 10/15 $55-60 Calls. Both of those ideas returned instant gratification in the form of the following intraday moves:

SFIX Weekly $38-41 Calls
$38:
 2.60-4.20 (+62%)
$39: 2.00-3.55 (+78%)
$40: 1.56-2.77 (+78%)
$41: 1.08-2.22 (+106%)
_____

GIS 10/15 $55-60 Calls
$55: 3.80-5.50 (+45%)
$57.50: 1.70-3.40 (+100%)
$60: .60-1.42 (+137%)

Options Recap, Post-Earnings Ideas & More

More Options Review:

We’ve got options updates on deck for this morning, and there is actually a fairly decent slate of earnings reporters on the docket today, so we’ll take a look into some of those as well.

As for recaps on options calls we’ve made recently, two of the targets that we reviewed yesterday morning continued their momentum and set new highs for us during the session. They were Friday’s alert on the GBX 07/16 $40 Calls and Tuesday’s alert on the ARWR 07/16 $65 Calls. Additionally, we witnessed new highs in the DRI 07/16 $140-145 Calls, which we initially targeted a few weeks back on June 24th.

These are the updated figures on those plays, all of which expire at the end of the week:

GBX 07/16 $40 Calls
$40:
1.40-5.40 (+286%)
_____

ARWR 07/16 $65 Calls
$65: 1.28-4.00 (+213%)
_____

DRI 07/16 $140-145 Calls
$140: 2.71-10.10 (+273%)
145: 1.10-5.45 (+395%)

Post-Earnings Options Ideas:

As we’ve been mentioning, next week is when the floodgates for earnings reporters really swing wide open, but for the time being, we have a couple that dropped their quarterlies this morning in which we will select some targets.

GS Weekly $380-385 Calls
PEP Weekly $149-152.50 Calls
