Friday’s Big Movers, Slate of Fresh Plays

Friday’s Big Winners:

First thing’s first- we can’t kick off a fresh trading week without first circling back to our slate of options ideas that we included in Friday morning’s premarket report. We served up a grouping of five separate ideas for our readers, and there were excellent chances for intraday gains pretty much all the way across the board.

We had put a pin into the SPY 11/18 $395-397 Calls, the JD Weekly $57.50-59 Calls, the ROST Weekly $111-114 Calls, the PANW Weekly $166.67-172.50 Calls, and the FL Weekly $36.50-38 Calls. With only the exception of the FL $36.50-37 Calls, which were too far in the money to experience much activity, all of the rest of our targets put forth some rather respectable intraday runs. Thursday was a rather fruitful session for us; the markets had gapped down considerably to kick things off, but spent the majority of the day regaining ground and moving in a northerly direction. We got off to a pretty good start to the trading week yesterday morning. Our premarket report contained a slate of three options ideas, and two of them turned out quite well in terms of intraday gain opportunities. Additionally, we have a set of longer-term targets from last Tuesday morning, that have gone on quite an impressive run in just a week’s time.

In terms of our options trading ideas from yesterday morning’s premarket report, we saw rather unimpressive performances from a couple of our ideas. However, our laser-like accuracy in dealing with the SPY continued in spades with the SPY 05/11 $402-404 Calls, so we’ve got the figures on those for you this morning.

We will also circle back around to a couple of the longer-term sets of ideas we made last week which have made some very impressive moves for us so far, and don’t expire until the end of next week. We signaled possible plays in the EL 05/20 $250-230 Puts and the FTNT 05/20 $290-310 Calls on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, and each of them has produced major moves, which were as follows:

The markets took a sour turn for yesterday’s session, but that didn’t stop us from cleaning up on our options plays once again. We set up three pins, and bowled them all over for some really nice gain opportunities on the day.
