Reviewing Thursday’s Movers, Trio of Fresh Ideas

Thursday Recap:

We had something of a rough outing on Thursday as the post-holiday hangover continues. We had four possible plays lined up in our premarket report and saw appreciable upswings in just two of them. Although stocks currently appear on track to close out the first week of the new year with losses, we’re quite optimistic that a turnaround will begin to materialize. We should be back in business next week as earnings reporters crop up to add interest, and traders continue to shake off the cobwebs.

Yesterday’s green plays were the NVDA Weekly $135-136 Calls, and the JNJ Weekly $145 Calls, and these were the intraday runs they registered in the first session of 2025:

NVDA Weekly $135-136 Calls

$136: 1.88-3.16 (+68%)
_____

JNJ Weekly $145 Calls

Tuesday’s Activity, 4 New Potential Targets

Tuesday’s Movers:

We finished out 2024 in solid fashion, with two out of the three possible plays we were tracking in our premarket report putting up some pretty good gains. This holiday season has definitely been a challenge, and we didn’t see a Santa Claus rally this year, but we fully expect things to pick back up around here in a big way starting on Tuesday, when we’ll be into some big name earnings reports once again.

As for Tuesday’s half day, here were the figures from the two runners on our options watchlist, the SPY 12/31 $589-590 Calls, and the RL Weekly 01/17 $230-240 Calls:

Monday Recap, 4 New Possible Targets

Tough Start to the Week:

We will always do our best not to candy-coat our failures too much, which is why when we have an exceedingly rare bad day, we’re going to be the first ones to point it out. The ideas we put forth in yesterday’s premarket report were most certainly not up to our typical standards, as you’ll see below. We haven’t had a poor showing like this in years, with the gains we saw in two of our three daily plays being very muted.  We will push forward and continue to do our best to be great. Our regular readers know that this performance is not indicative of our usual success.

Yesterday’s positive plays, the BABA Weekly $101-100 Puts, and the MDLZ Weekly $72 Calls, recorded the following moves on the day:

BABA Weekly $101-100 Puts
$101:
 1.74-2.18 (+25%)
$100: 1.29-1.63 (+26%)

MDLZ Weekly $72 Calls
$72: .35-.45 (+29%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SAP 11/15 $230-240 Calls
GE Weekly $187.50-182.50 Puts
RTX Weekly $127-128 Calls
PM Weekly $122-123 Calls

Genprex, Inc. (NASDAQ:GNPX) – Recap:

We also have a stock update from our extended watchlist yesterday. The saving grace of our newsletter for the day was our tag of GNPX, which had a major blast-off following our signal. We witnessed a big run from .51 up to a premarket high of 3.79 this morning, which represents a 24-hour upswing of 643%
