Yesterday’s Solid Options Plays:

We kicked off the short trading week and final day in May yesterday morning with some truly incredible updates on Friday’s options ideas, and while yesterday’s fresh plays didn’t rise to the same magnitude, we still set up four ideas and knocked each of them down with some respectable intraday moves. The markets opened lower, then gained ground back for much of the early portion of the day.

That helped with some solid moves in all of our highlighted potential targets, which were the PDD Weekly $49.50-51 Calls, the BEKE 06/17 $12.50 Calls, the AMC Weekly $14.50-15.50 Calls, and the HTHT 06/17 $30 Calls. We have continued to thread the needle with respect to our daily options ideas this week, with only a small fraction of missteps. Yesterday morning in our premarket report, we formulated and passed along a set of three potential options trading targets to our readers. Out of those selections, all three produced significant intraday opportunities for anyone who put some skin in the game.

First item on our to-do list this morning is to review our winning options ideas from yesterday morning’s premarket report. Two of our designated sets of potential trading targets turned in multibag performances on the day, in what was a session of mixed results for the markets in general.

Our winning selections were the HD Weekly $342.50-335 Puts, and the DWAC Weekly $92-96 Calls, which both came off of the daily earnings play list. We went short on Home Depot and long on DWAC, and here were the intraday results on those ideas:

Options Ideas – Form-4 Plays:

We do typically like to stick with options plays that coincide with big name earnings reporters, but we always like to scan for Form-4’s (insider transactions) and formulate ideas in those instances where we like the chart setup.

We’ve got a couple of potential targets which fit that bill with huge amounts of shares being soaked up in ASAN last week, and a large $10M block being purchased in PFSI yesterday. These transactions give us at least a reasonable confidence that those involved believe that the future looks brighter than the present.

Of course we don’t want to leave out our bread and butter, so we’ve also taken a look at what the earnings calendar has to offer this morning.

MRNA Runs Continues, SPY Runners:

Yesterday morning, in addition to providing updates on MRNA’s huge run and rolling up our strike prices to stay close to the money, we also signaled some SPY Calls. The markets made a nice intraday move, and that sent those SPY Calls, while our new MRNA targets posted gains, and Friday’s added new highs onto the moves we observed in the prior session.

We also wanted to provide another update on SNRG, which we’ve been monitoring intently over the past month. The company’s award-winning all-organic fertilizer made from waste materials is raising more eyebrows all the time.
