Closing Out the Week Strong, Fresh Ideas

Options Reviews:

It’s a challenging time to be navigating the daily ins and outs of the current economic environment, especially with a dearth of big name earnings on the docket, but we have still been managing quite well, all things considered. Two of our three options targets went for some nice gains yesterday, and in addition to those, we have updated on a couple of longer term plays that have come into some really solid moves.

Yesterday’s winning targets from our premarket report were the ADBE Weekly $372.50-370 Puts, and the KR Weekly $51-49.50 Puts, so we’ll have the intraday figures on those for you below. Both of the other plays from past reports expire today as well, and the moves below represent the overall increases we’ve observed since formulating the ideas. It was our report on Friday the 3rd when we signaled the ASAN 06/17 $22.50 Puts, and Tuesday the 7th when we put the GTLB 06/17 $40-45 Calls on our radar.

Friday’s Big Winners, Fresh Ideas & More

Solid Options Runners:

To close things out for the short week on Friday, we had a pair of quick-strike options ideas in the LULU and OKTA chains, as well as a longer term target for ASAN in our premarket report. Despite a rather subdued session for the markets in general wherein we saw a gap-down in the morning, and not much progress toward a recovery throughout the day, we were still able to manage some very nice gain chances.

Our specific areas of interest for the day were the LULU Weekly $300-307.50 Calls, the OKTA Weekly $106-108 Calls, and the ASAN 06/17 $22.50 Puts. Both sets of calls produced multi-bag profit possibilities on the day, with ASAN not lagging far behind. We’ve also got a week and change before they expire, so we’ll continue to monitor those as well. As for Friday’s moves, here’s what these ideas put forth for the session:

LULU Weekly $300-307.50 Calls
$300:
 2.55-7.35 (+188%)
$302.50: 2.00-5.60 (+180%)
$305: 1.41-4.50 (+219%)
$307.50: .94-3.40 (+262%)
_____

OKTA Weekly $106-108 Calls
$106: 1.16-2.87 (+147%)
$107: .84-2.05 (+144%)
$108: .48-1.39 (+190%)
_____

ASAN 06/17 $22.50 Puts
$22.50: 1.82-2.90 (+59%)

Fresh Options Ideas:

We are heading into an extended dry spell with regard to the number of big name companies dropping their earnings reports, which is going to persist for the next several weeks. We’re used to traversing these periodic ‘earnings deserts’, and as always, we’ll still be working hard every day to find the best opportunities possible, which for us, generally includes a heavy reliance on the SPY- our favorite market analog.

SPY 06/06 $413-415 Calls
FUTU Weekly $38.50-40 Calls
QDEL 07/15 $85-95 Calls

Massive CHWY Options Gains, Fresh Ideas & More

Earnings Reporters Put Up Big Gains:

Our earnings related options ideas for the day panned out well for us yesterday, with some help from another fully bullish session for the markets at large. Stocks surged all day, and well-received earnings reports from our target companies did the rest.

We were zeroed in on the CHWY Weekly $26.50-28 Calls and the PSTG Weekly $25-26 Calls, with a much longer term idea with an August expiration in the Energizer chain, which we’ll circle back to in a future report.  Our quick-strike plays yielded some very nice opportunities for quick intraday profits, and those were as follows:

CHWY Weekly $26.50-28 Calls
$26.50:
 .72-3.00 (+317%)
$27: .56-2.51 (+348%)
$27.50: .44-2.15 (+389%)
$28: .30-1.82 (+507%)
_____

PSTG Weekly $25-26 Calls
$25: 1.95-4.30 (+121%)
$26: 1.45-3.60 (+148%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
LULU Weekly $300-307.50 Calls*
OKTA Weekly $106-108 Calls*
ASAN 06/17 $22.50 Puts

*Trading options contracts on their day of expiration is a high risk/high reward proposition which should only be attempted by experienced traders

Ggtoor, Inc. (OTCMKTS:GTOR) – Recap:

GGTOOR was a company that we profiled a few months back, citing the high potential of tournament gaming, the space in which the company operates. GTOR recently announced the signing of a deal that is potentially very lucrative, and as a result the price has gone through the roof. It will be “building” an entire virtual city complete with its own economy in the metaverse, with parcels selling for cryptocurrency.

Following our reports on GTOR the stock was trading for as little as ,012, and this week it has soared to a new high of .074. That works out to an increase of over 500% It will be interesting for us to see how much of those gains the stock can maintain and possibly add onto as it develops its new metaverse-based project, GGTOORCITY.
