Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ACRX, DSCO & More

Tesla Motors, Inc. TSLA – Options

Yesterday, those of our readers following our recent coverage of TSLA were once again presented with opportunities coming out of the 05/22 $230-240 Calls that we’ve been monitoring since Friday. TSLA registered a higher high and a higher low for the fifth consecutive session, topping out at 248.30. As a result, the total possible gains on our initial calls were pushed even further into the green, so we wanted to provide an update on those figures:

$230 Calls  – Friday’s Low: 6.85 – Yesterday’s High: 17.95 – Max Gain: 162%

$232.50 Calls  – Friday’s Low: 5.32 – Yesterday’s High: 16.90 – Max Gain: 217%

$235 Calls  – Friday’s Low: 5.96 – Yesterday’s High: 13.95 – Max Gain: 134%

$237.50 Calls  – Friday’s Low: 3.16 – Yesterday’s High: 12.00  – Max Gain: 280%

$240 Calls  – Friday’s Low: 3.84 – Yesterday’s High: 10.50 – Max Gain: 173%

These moves are a perfect example of what draws us to options trading; with just a 6% increase in TSLA stock, we’ve witnessed huge gains across the board in the options chain. These contracts don’t expire until next Friday, so we’ll keep our fingers on TSLA’s pulse until that time.

AcelRx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ACRX

Popping up on our scanner this morning is a play that has both an interesting chart as well as a blockbuster PR out today that is leading to a gap-up in premarket trading (3.30-3.80’s).

We’re catching the stock as it comes up off of a relative bottom, and as we point out on the snapshot below, there are several attractive features of the current ACRX chart.

Couple that with this morning’s revelation of a contract the company has struck with the US Dept. of Defense, and ACRX becomes instantly worthy of our attention as the week draws to a close.

Discovery Laboratories, Inc. DSCO

Speaking of pharma stocks with fresh news, DCSO is also cropping up on our scanner this morning. Like the aforementioned play, this morning/s PR is resulting in a gap-up, and we’ll want to have our eyes peeled for potential advantageous activity on the chart once the session commences.

According to the release, Phase II testing of its AEROSURF® product has yielded “encouraging safety and physiological data suggest that aerosolized KL4 surfactant can be delivered to the lung of premature infants with respiratory distress syndrome”

Extended Watchlist:
PTBI, CYRN, BAA, CDTI, WOGI

Blue Horseshoe: ACDU, GOGO, GERN, OXBT, NQ & More

Accredited Business Consolidators Corp. ACDU

We had included ACDU in Friday’s newsletter after noticing increased volume and building momentum in Thursday’s session. Opening strong and rallying out of the gate, the stock touched a high of .0093 before consolidating and retracing on a midday pullback. We observed as ACDU found support and bounced from .0061 back up to .0086 (+42%) and ended the day solidly at .0083.

Congrats to anyone who was able to take a quick profit from ACDU.

Gogo, Inc. GOGO

We’ve been monitoring GOGO pretty closely since Sept. 16th at which time the stock was trading at 14.79.  By Sept. 26th, we saw the stock hit a high of 19.80. Over roughly the next month, GOGO retraced back to 15.90 (10/24). This morning GOGO appears to be gapping up significantly, hitting a high of 22.30 premarket, so we’re definitely going to continue paying close attention to this stock.

Geron, Corp. GERN

After we mentioned GERN in Thurday’s report, we saw a good short opportunity as the stock fell from the high 7.70’s to below 6.00.

On Friday the stock opened in the 5.00-range, and continued its descent, trending down to the mid-4.00 range. As GERN has pulled back so drastically in a small amount of time, we are watching for the dust to settle, and poising ourselves for the potential rebound which could follow.

Oxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc. OXBT
&
NQ Mobile, Inc. NQ

OXBT made a move from a low of 1.46 to 11.40 for a 681% gain since we began following it near the end of October.

Roughly around the same period of time, we also starting watching NQ, at the time trading as low as 8.42, which would go on to hit a high of 15.85, an 88% gain.

Both of these stocks underwent big consolidations last week, and began to rebound toward the end of the week. As is often the case following major runs, large pullbacks, if properly timed can make for some excellent quick-strike opportunities to profit. Thus, we still have both of these on our radar.

DROP (Coming off recent lows),TCPS, XCLL(Golden Cross), DSCO, FRO, NNVC, GURE, CLRX, ZLCS (Huge gap down, watching for possible rebound)

EWSI, FREE, PLUG, IDRA, DSCO & Extended Watchlist

E-Waste Systems, Inc.  EWSI
Following Friday’s newsletter, EWSI opened at its low of day at .043, and would go on to close at its high of day at .05, marking an increase of 16% This comes after we pointed out the stock coming off of a recent bottom, and with a bullish close like we saw on Friday, we are going to be watching this one to make higher lows and higher highs to confirm the current uptrend.

We were clued into re-alerting EWSI on Friday as a result of a good chart setup on both the RSI and the MACD. With no morning gap-up, Friday’s 16% move was purely realized gain.

We have witnessed EWSI run to ten cents in the past, so we know for a fact that it is capable of much larger gains. Indicators seem to point to the current push spanning multiple sessions, leaving it high on our watchlists as we begin a new trading week.

FreeSeas, Inc. FREE
Over the course of a few weeks since we alerted FREE for the first time on 09/10, we have seen FREE go on a mammoth run from .2213 all the way up to .9287, an increase of 320%

Following that peak, the stock has pulled back to find support in the .60-.70 range, and now have it on watch for another possible leg up from these levels. The next key area of resistance from here is going to be the 200DMA at .98.

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

We first called PLUG on 02/15 as a “potential recovery play” right after we noticed the stock hitting its 52-week lows. What we ended up seeing from PLUG was a recovery, and then some. Over the past several months, the stock not only regained the ground to where it had fallen off a cliff in early February, but the stock has continued its ascent, touching a high of .80 in early September.

As you can see, gains of nearly 600% were possible for anyone who had caught this play at or near its 52-week low on the heels of our initial alert.

Idera Pharmaceuticals, Inc. IDRA
& Discovery Laboratories, Inc. DSCO

Both of these stocks gapped up on Friday after appearing in our extended watchlist, and we still have them on our radars heading into this week.

Each stock traded large volume during Friday’s sessions, so we’re interested to see if they can build up some momentum.

Extended Watchlist:

RNN, ONVO, ONTY, CTIC, TKMR, ATOS(Huge gap down, watching for a potential bounce)
