Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Review

Options Review

We dedicated yesterday’s premarket newsletters to our Special Report, so we wanted to circle back this morning to go over a couple of options ideas we submitted to our readers on Tuesday morning.

We had identified plays in the ULTA and MKC options chains following a Form-4 Alert and an earnings report, respectively, and in both cases we met with fantastic multi-bag gain opportunities. Here were the total possible profits on the table:

ULTA 11/01 $260-265 Calls
$260 Calls – Range: 4.00-13.30 – Max Gain: 233%
$262.50 Calls – Range: 2.60-12.50 – Max Gain: 381%
$265 Calls – Range: 2.80-11.25 – Max Gain: 302%
_____

MKC Weekly $155-160 Calls

$155 Calls – Range: 5.58-13.58 – Max Gain: 143%
$160 Calls – Range: 2.82-9.12 – Max Gain: 223%
_____

Fresh Options Idea:
PEP Weekly $134-136 Calls

American Renal Associates Holdings, Inc. ARA

We also want to place ARA on watch as a possible bottom bounce play. The stock has never been much lower than where it’s currently trading, has a recently history of sharp spikes, and indications that a significant rebound could be on the way. We’ll keep an eye peeled for such activity over the next several sessions.

Extended Watchlist:
CBNT, CLVS, ARQL, BIOC, HYRE, MEET

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PEP Surges & More

PepsiCo, Inc. PEP

Pepsi had a solid across the board beat following its premarket earnings release yesterday, and we seized opportunity to include the  PEP Weekly $124-125 Calls in our morning report.

A five-dollar intraday run by the stock allowed for some very nice opportunities to profit in our pair of targets. The $124 Calls ran from .72-3.40 for a big 372% rip, while the $125’s traded from .32 to 2.45; a gain of 666%

Verb Technology, Inc. VERB

This stock is a newcomer to the NASDAQ, having only recently uplisted from the OTCQB, which has been the subject of a selloff over the past six weeks. That was kicked into another gear earlier this month when the company announced that its move to the NASDAQ would be accompanied by a $20M offering at roughly half the market price at the time.

Now that it has fallen well below the offering price, and indicators are suggesting a rebound may be in order, we are going to flag this play for observation in the days and weeks ahead.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: JMIA Runner & More

Jumia Technologies JMIA

Our first order of business this morning is to mention the performance of JMIA after we included in yesterday’s premarket report on our extended watchlist.

This relatively new play doesn’t even have an options chain as yet, but the move made by the stock itself, especially for something in this price range, was really impressive. JMIA ran from a low of 33.10 on up to 43.50 during yesterday’s session, marking an impressive intraday rise of 31% As of this morning in the premarket, that high has risen to 50.60, and pushing our observed gain to a super solid 53%

FRESH OPTIONS IDEAS

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Although the company downplayed its Q2 guidance in yesterday’s post-market release, NFLX still showed strong growth for the quarter, and looks to be in line for a solid finish to this four-day trading week which wraps up tomorrow in advance of Good Friday. Wre will look to possibly take advantage of the NFLX Weekly $365-375 Calls.

PepsiCo, Inc. PEP – Pepsi was among those companies reporting their quarterly earnings this morning in the premarket, and we’d like to formulate an idea there as well after the company posted a Q1 beat on profits and revs. We’re going to track the  PEP Weekly $124-125 Calls into tomorrow’s close.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PEP Recap & More

PepsiCo, Inc. PEP – Options Recap

Yesterday morning Pepsi’s earnings provided us with one of the pair of options ideas included in our report. We were focused on the PepsiCo, Inc. PEP Weekly $109-112 Calls and are pleased to report that we found success with those immediately.

The single-session gain opportunities available to anyone who partook were substantial to say the least, continuing an impressive pattern of huge options winners we’ve uncovered over the last several sessions.

$109 Calls – Range: 1.23-4.00 – Max Gain: 225%
$110 Calls – Range: .70-3.05 – Max Gain: 336%
$111 Calls – Range: .38-2.05 – Max Gain: 439%
$112 Calls – Range: .19-1.30 – Max Gain: 589%

Tesla, Inc. TSLA

On Friday we began tracking some TSLA Calls, and we did remind our readers of these contracts yesterday, cautioning that it appeared as if the stock was ready to facilitate some good moves in our targets.

The TSLA 08/02 $300-315 Calls were those targets, and our hunch proved correct. While we swept the range, finding gains in all seven sets of contracts, in the interest of time, we’ll simply provide the moves from the bottom and the top of the range. Just keep in mind that the sets in between also enjoyed commensurate moves to the upside.

The $300 Calls ran from a low of 22.54 to a high of 35.81 for a gain of 59% while the $315’s ran from 16.70 to 26.01; an increase of 56%

SPDRA S&P 500 ETF (SPY)

After following up a string of successful SPY calls from last week, we added a fresh quick-strike idea yesterday morning. With the markets looking ready to pop after positive jobs numbers were released, we signaled our interest in tracking the SPY 07/09 $275.50-277 Calls.

Trading options with same-day expiry always carries a high risk, but in this case, it was well worth it, with each of our designated contracts producing gains of a significant nature on the day.

$275.50 Calls – Range: 1.18-2.74 – Max Gain: 132%
$276 Calls – Range: .80-2.01 – Max Gain: 151%
$276.50 Calls – Range: .48-1.42 – Max Gain: 196%
$277 Calls – Range: .23-.93 – Max Gain: 304%
_____

Tesla, Inc. TSLA

An idea that we formulated on Friday was with some extended term TSLA Calls. We wanted to remind readers of these contracts this morning, as the stock is behaving like we might now see the move that we predicted at the end of last week.

The TSLA 08/02 $300-315 Calls should be in line to see some nice gains with the stock itself gapping up hard here in the premarket.

Fresh Idea:
For another fresh options trading idea on the heels of PEP’s earning beat, we’re going to be tracking the activity in the PepsiCo, Inc. PEP $109-112 Calls.

RiceBran Technology RIBT

We have included RIBT in our reports on each of the past two Mondays, and the stock has made appreciable moves to the upside in that time span.

Between our initial alert last Monday, after a low of 2.21 from which the stock hasn’t looked back, yesterday’s new high reached 3.09, marking a one week upswing of 40% We’ll be interested to see how far the stock can continue to streak into blue skies.
