A Five-Pack of Fresh Trading Ideas

Solid Start to the Trading Week:

We got this short week off to a good start yesterday morning as we alerted on four potential options plays, and considering our recent track record, it came as very little surprise to see some very nice intraday gain opportunities in all of them. We had earnings in the financial sector and some good premarket movement on TSLA, and the ideas we generated off of that led to some sizable runs in our designated targets.

Those interests were the GS Weekly $370-365 Puts, the SBNY Weekly $120 Calls, the TSLA Weekly $123-125 Calls, and the MARA Weekly $8.00-8.50 Calls. As we’re seeing TSLA gapping up again this morning in the premarket, we’re likely to see the gains on those contracts extended, and we’ll also go ahead and roll up to include some higher strikes with our fresh ideas for today. First, here’s the breakdown from yesterday’s activity:

GS Weekly $370-365 Puts

A Mistake Free Wednesday:

We offered up a set of four possible options trading ideas in our premarket report for yesterday morning, all of which went to the bullish side of the street. Good Start to the Holiday Week:

Things got off to a really good start to kick off the holiday-shortened trading week yesterday. We included a couple of quick strike options plays and a couple of longer-term ones to watch with December expirations in our daily report. While those extended term plays will need some more time to materialize, we got some very nice intraday movement and subsequent gain chances with our weekly calls.

We formulated the FUTU Weekly $50-52 Calls, and the DIS Weekly $98-101 Calls as our daily targets and the results were solid. FUTU was far away the hotter play, posting significant multibag runs on the day. Here’s how those broke down:

Yesterday’s Hitters, Today’s New Ideas

Tuesday’s Big Plays:

Things continued to go rather well for us on the options trading front yesterday. We stick our necks out to come up with quality trading ideas on a daily basis, and while it can sometimes prove challenging, we always seem to get the job done in respectable fashion. Of course it helps significantly that the markets have been especially volatile, as they have been this earnings season, to ratchet up the opportunities for daytraders. We hit on three out of the four ideas in which we were interested.

The potential plays we targeted in yesterday morning’s premarket report that went on to record big gains were the UBER Weekly $26.50-27.50 Calls, the MAR Weekly $160-162.50 Calls, and the CAT Weekly $192.50-187.50 Puts. Lets have a look at the type of intraday movement they provided for us during yesterday’s session.

UBER Weekly $26.50-27.50 Calls
$26.50:
 1.40-2.98 (+113%)
$27: 1.14-2.60 (+128%)

_____

MAR Weekly $160-162.50 Calls
$160: 1.05-3.40 (+224%)
$162.50: .52-2.10 (+320%)
_____

CAT Weekly $192.50-187.50 Puts
$192.50: 4.95-9.50 (+92%)

On the options trading front, we are making our way through the earnings drought as best we can recently, and doing a fairly good job of it if we say so ourselves. We’re in for another week-plus of this, with the days of having plenty of earnings reporters on the calendar set to return on Monday the 18th.

For now, we’ll keep plugging away and taking whatever we can get, and for yesterday’s report that came in the form of the SPY 07/06 $380-382 Calls which absolutely ripped, and the RFP 07/15 $17.50-20 Calls.
