Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. BBBY – Recap:

BBBY has been included in our extended watchlists a few times since Monday of last week, when we first signaled it. Subsequent to that report, the stock has undergone a short squeeze and run from a low of 8.63 up to yesterday’s new high of 28.60. That marked a walloping gain of 231% in just over one trading week.

Bucking the Trend with Options

Big Time Options Success:

Despite the markets sliding over the Russia-Ukraine conflict anxieties, we managed to round up a fair few options winners in our premarket report yesterday morning. Only one longer term idea failed to instantly materialize, with all of our quick strike options plays posting solid gains on the day.

We’re cruising right along on the options front this week, with the earnings calendar having presented us with a lot to look at each morning. Today looks to be no different with several big name reporters on the slate.

First, we’ll go over the activity in the new ideas we formulated in yesterday morning’s premarket report, which produced a few winners. Apart from the BIDU Calls we were watching which weren’t very impressive, we were tracking the TJX Weekly $71-73 Calls, and the LOW Weekly $250-255 Calls, both of which produced significant intraday movement and profit opportunity.

As usual, our first order of business for the day is to provide tracking on our active options trading interests. This morning that includes the solid moves made by the Home Depot calls we signaled for observation in yesterday’s premarket watchlist. as well as some more new highs on a couple of the other plays on our radar this week.
