Blue Horseshoe: New Marijuana Stocks, PLUG & More

Home Treasure Finders, Inc. HMTF

HMTF is the first of two new players in the cannabis sector that we wanted to put on our radar this morning. We’ve seen far too many of these stocks, even if the decision to enter the pot sector was arbitrary, subsequently blow their tops as traders clamor to position themselves for the latest hot ticket. At this point we’ve seen it happen so much, that reason alone is enough to call our attention to HMTF.

The interesting twist behind HMTF, is that unlike some of the other plays in this space, it is transforming its original business to fit the market. Previously a real estate acquisition and leasing firm, the company will now direct focus toward developing marijuana cultivation properties with the express intent of leasing them out to licensed growers.

DENVER, Colorado, March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — “Home Treasure Finders, Inc. (OTCQB: HMTF) (“Company”) is pleased to announce that on March 3, 2014 the Company formed a wholly owned subsidiary, HMTF Cannabis Holdings, Inc. to purchase and improve properties that qualify for legalized cultivation of marijuana. We anticipate that our properties will be leased to licensed third party cannabis growers.

Corey Wiegand, CEO, stated “We are activating five projects which we foresee will total 125,000 square feet. We are in negotiations with lenders, land owners and growers. >> FULL PR

OSL Holdings, Inc. OSLH

Another company that is newly taking the plunge into the marijuana sector, is OSLH. In this case, it’s by way of partnering with a well-known Californian dispensary, “The Natural Way of L.A.”. After dipping its toes in the water, so to speak, the company intends to explore other opportunities relating to Colorado and Washington, the two states which have already green-lighted recreational use marijuana. Colorado, as you well know, began legal sales at the beginning of 2014, and Washington is slated to begin its own in June.

OSLH looks strong in premarket trading this morning. This is definitely a high-potential play to kick off the week, from the current looks of things.

ORANGEBURG, New York, March 10, 2014 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — OSL Holdings Inc. (http://www.oslholdings.com), (OTCQB: OSLH) (“OSL” or the “Company”), a technology company, announced today its entry into the legal marijuana market. OSL Holdings has contracted with one of the oldest legal medical marijuana dispensaries in California, The Natural Way of LA, to develop marijuana production facilities in California. OSL intends to form a separate subsidiary to create production facilities in states that presently have legal medical marijuana dispensaries and also position itself to accommodate the growing recreational markets in Colorado and Washington and elsewhere as legal recreational markets emerge. >>FULL PR

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

PLUG is definitely going down as one of our most successful picks of all time. Let us give the short rundown of our history with this play. Beginning in mid-February of 2013, we began tracking this stock, and around that time, we observed a low of .1155. PLUG spent the rest of 2013 rising gradually, and by the end of the year, had already broken the 2.00-mark.

By the beginning of this year, PLUG had taken another several leaps forward, and at the end of last month, reached a high of 4.64. Even then, our potential max gains on this play were an astounding 3,917% but PLUG was only just beginning to heat up.

On Friday the stock reached a new high of 8.35! That marks a hefty 80% increase from our alert on 02/27, and an incredible overall move of 7129% from our initial alert low, and that doesn’t even include the increases we are seeing in positive premarket trading action this morning.

Part of the reason PLUG got another boost, could have been the vast exposure the company got on Friday when CEO Andy Marsh appeared in a CNBC interview. Check that out to learn more about the company and the direction in which it’s headed.

Extended Watchlist:
RGDO, MEET, UVFT, FCEL, BLDP, MATR, RVLT, NWBO, ATRM, UQM, CQB,

DUSS, ILST, TSLA, AAPL, ATRM & Extended Watchlist

Dussault Apparel, Inc.  DUSS

On Tuesday, DUSS released an 8K containing information regarding its pending acquisition of a gold mining property. This adds substance to this very cheaply-priced stock, and with Wednesday’s session seeing a high of .0011 on more than 10X its 3mo. average volume, now is a good time to start monitoring this stock.

The last significant spike on the DUSS chart took it as high as .0015, so a return to those levels from here could facilitate gains in excess of 50% or more. We’d like to see support continue to hold at .0006-.0007 in order for us to remain interested.

International Star, Inc.  ILST

We are introducing a new momentum play in ILST today. Like DUSS, ILST represents a company that has just shifted its business toward the mining sector.  Wednesday, the stock woke from a slumber, and moved from a low of .001 to as much as .0034 on record volume.

The company is currently working toward getting their claim prepared for production. The Van Deemen Mine property consists of five un-patented claims totaling approx. 100 acres, and an additional 18 un-patented lode claims in the surrounding area. As with any junior mining project, the road to production can be a long one, so there’s no sense of urgency here. But at its current price level and at this stage of the story, we thought it would be a good time to put ILST on the radar, and begin following its journey.

Tesla Motors, Inc. TSLA – Options Ideas

Turning our attention to options trading, we are taking a look at TSLA. With the current conditions on the chart appearing favorable for an uptrend, we are looking at 12/21 $120 Call, which last traded at 11.35, and 12/27 $130 calls, last traded at 6.35.

As you can see on the included chart, conditions appear to be gearing up nicely for a possible surge in PPS.

Apple, Inc. AAPL – Options

AAPL is another candidate to provide us with some good options-trading opportunities based on current conditions. AAPL weekly Calls could provide a nice day-trading opportunity today that could yield fast profits. We want to radar the 550, 555 and 560 calls, because all week long, AAPL has been making huge gains and the weekly Calls have made multi-bag gains.

If today’s action can repeat the activity we saw earlier in the week, we could be looking at some sizable gains from these Calls. AAPL $550 calls closed at .80, $555’s closed at .30, and the $560’s were at .12. It’s always safer to play closer to the money with your strike price, so we’re keeping that in mind. If AAPL can’t make its way past $555, the $560’s may not make the same kind of moves that expect from the $550’s and $555’s.

Aetrium, Inc. ATRM

We’ve been talking about ATRM since last Friday, and highlighted it once again on Monday. It would pull back early in the week, and then on Wednesday we got the move we were looking for. From Tuesday’s low of 4.19, the stock would hit a high of 12.40, marking a possible gain of up to 196% for anyone who loaded up on the dip.

Extended Watchlist:
INOL, JCP, DRYS, DSS, FRO, ZOOM, UPIP, GNK, EGLE

ARIA, PVG, ATRM, TEMN, INVA & Extended Watchlist

ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc.  ARIA

ARIA is the first of three solid winners to come off of our Extended Watchlist from Friday morning. The stock began by touching a daily low of 3.30, followed by a run into the 4.04 high, marking the opportunity for intraday gains of up to 33%

Just a word of caution, the company has a pending lawsuit in which it is being sued by a multiple plaintiffs in a securities fraud case that will commence next month. On October 9, 2013, the Company announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration placed a partial clinical hold on all new patient enrollment in clinical trials of Iclusig, following reports of non-serious and serious adverse events in Iclusig-treated patients. Following this news, the price of ARIAD shares dropped nearly 66%, or $11.31 per share, from the previous day’s closing price of $17.14 per share, to a closing price of $5.83 per share on October 9, 2013, on extremely heavy volume.

As a result, investors who purchased ARIA stock between Dec.’11 and Oct.’13 are eligible to take part in the class-action suit.

Pretium Resources, Inc.  PVG

PVG was another substantial gainer for us on Friday, bringing us gains to the tune of 48% as the stock tore out of the gate, pausing only briefly near its low of 3.93 before skyrocketing as high as 5.80 early in the session. For the remainder of the day, PVG held much of those daily gains, and managed a strong close at 5.32.

That kind of momentum makes PVG a good candidate for a possible continuation of momentum, so we want to make sure we’re paying close attention as we begin this short trading-week.

Aetrium, Inc. ATRM

ATRM is another one that came out of the gate with guns blazing on Friday. After opening at 8.46, the stock spiked sharply to a morning high of 10.45, nice 24% move.

Later in the session, we observed a bounce from 5.60 back up to 6.68, which added an opportunity for an additional 19% gain, bringing the total cumulative gains for ATRM to a very respectable 43%

When added to the gains we saw from our other selections, our total possible gains for Friday’s session topped out at 124% All in a day’s work!

Team Nations Corp. TEMN
&
Inova Technologies, Inc. INVA

We observed these two sub-penny plays hitting our scanner on Friday, trading substantial volume. We want to be on the lookout for any possible continuation of momentum heading into this week.

In the case of INVA, the stock was trading at more than a penny as recently as October, and is now coming off of a bottom, so it will interesting to see how much of its lost ground it can gain back. A return to October levels would mean gains up to and exceeding 100% from its current price.
