Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TRTC, RPRX Recaps & MKHD

Mount Knowledge Holdings, Inc. MKHD

MKHD is one that we want to flag this morning after our news scanner picked up an intriguing PR that just hit the wires. Apparently the company has moved to acquire cyber-security firm Civergy, Inc, which apparently generated revenue in excess of $35M last year.

It’s going to be interesting to see how this stock, which is unaccustomed to heavy trading, responds to this significant development.

NEW YORK, NY–(Marketwired – September 29, 2014) – Mount Knowledge Holdings, Inc. (MKHD), a software development and sales company focused on providing innovative technology solutions announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Civergy, Inc, >>> VIEW PR

Terra Tech Corp. TRTC

Among the cannabis plays that we were watching for a resurgence on Friday was TRTC, which put forth a significantly fruitful session as the stock came out of the gate at .25 and ran up as high as .33 on volume exceeding twice the 3-month average.

That move was good for intraday gains of up to 32% and marked the fourth consecutive day that TRTC registered both higher lows and higher highs. It leaves the stock firmly near the top of our marijuana watchlist which is certain to garner more attention as we approach voting season.

Repros Therapeutics, Inc. RPRX

We also saw a nice pop out of RPRX, which appeared in Friday’s extended watchlist, and would go on to post a solid performance on the day. After trading as low as 9.23, we witnessed a run to 11.18, a bullish move of 21% on just a shade under four times its 3-month average volume.

It’s a good signal that after the recent beatdown of the stock from the $14+ range that we’re seeing a turnaround, so we’ll definitely have RPRX on our radar going forward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Kicking Off the Short Week

Good Morning Traders! We hope everyone enjoyed the long weekend; we’re all set to start the short week off strong. We’ve got several different things to talk about this morning, so without further ado, lets take a look:

Dig-It Underground, Inc. DIGX

DIGX is a new item of interest that we’re going to start things off with today; the stock began to move on Thursday and Friday, and will be among the top plays that we’ll be monitoring for a potential breakout this week.

Per a recent PR, DIGX management has the intent to pursue opportunities in the cannabis sector, which we know as well as anyone, can mean big things on the chart if the company follows through so we’ll definitely be paying attention to that aspect of the story.

In the meantime, the company is supported by the revenues of its existing salon business, and we really like the potential of the chart as well:

We go over the DIGX Chart, as well as some of our other items of discussion this morning in the following video:

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options

PBR hit yet another new high on Friday, this time pushing to 19.74. That spelled good things for the options contracts we’ve been tracking.

The January 17th $19 Calls, which we’ve seen as low as 1.23 as recently as Friday the 22nd, hit 2.48. That’s a one-week increase of 101% so congrats to anyone who was along for the ride.

Digital Ally, Inc. DGLY

DGLY pushed to new highs on Friday; the stock made a 15% intraday move to 19.86 which represents a sizable move up from recent lows.

We began to talk about this play on August 21st, at which time it was trading at 5.75, meaning we’ve already seen an overall increase of 245%

LabStyle Innovations Corp. DRIO

We brought up DRIO as a topic of discussion a week ago today, and we were pleased at the move we saw that day as the stock bounced from a low of .065 and ran as high as .08, a 23% spike.

The stock spent the next session under consolidation, and found support Thursday at .066, just one tick above our observed low. The bounce we saw from that point on would take DRIO to a new high, reaching its apex on Friday at a price of .093. That swing exceeded the initial run, and was good for gains of up to 40%

RadioShack Corp. RSH

We were seeing new highs attained all over the place on Friday, and RSH was no exception. The stock pressed to as much as 1.77 on more than six times the average volume.  That was just shy of the next key resistance point on the RSH chart, the 200DMA of 1.79.

Considering the fact that we caught this off of its 52-week low of .55 just a couple of weeks ago, we’d say we’ve fared pretty well with RSH. As of Friday’s new high, we were looking at an overall increase of 222%

Drone Aviation Holding Corp. DRNE

On Friday morning, we mentioned that we’d “have our eyes peeled for any chances that might present themselves with a potential rebound” in DRNE, and it was a good thing that we did.

The stock proceeded to trade from a morning low of .84, hit a high of 1.04 and closed just a penny below at 1.03. That was a healthy 24% move on nearly six times the 1-month average volume.

Side Notes:

Kandi Technologies, Inc. KNDI, a stock we’ve been familiar with in the past, got hit pretty hard during Friday’s session, presumably due to an adverse reaction to an announced secondary stock offering. We’re going to be monitoring the situation there, waiting for the dust to settle. It’s possible that it could lead us to some opportunities on a subsequent rebound.

Speaking of plays we’ll be monitoring on the heels of some recent consolidation, we’ve got China Finance Online, Ltd. JRJC. We tracked this play for gains of nearly 30% the week before last, and it had been pulling back off of that spike through last week, so we’ll be watching to see where this one finds support as well.

Extended Watchlist:
PAWS, CPWR, HGSH, ASTI, JDST, ADMP, EXEL(Large gap down radar for a eventual bounce)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: APP, Social Media Updates & More

American Apparel, Inc. APP

As tends to happen each year, we’ve honed back in on APP at an opportune time. After seeing a low of .51 as recently as June 24th, this past Thursday saw this stock push past the dollar-mark. After another solid session on Friday wherein the stock reached as high as a 1.20, it appears as if APP wants to gap up once again this morning, touching 1.27 in pre-market trading. At that price, we’ve seen an overall move of 149% from this play in just three weeks.

There’s a chance that we could see a slight consolidation to fill the gap on the chart left on Friday (1.05-1.08) in which case we’d need to see APP hold support at or above the 1.05-mark. The chart still appears ripe, however, so it will interesting to see how this play kicks off a new trading week.

Twitter, Inc. TWTR
& Facebook, Inc. FB

Social media giants TWTR and FB began to heat up last week, as anticipation of upcoming earning releases has ramped up, and both stocks seem to be gapping up in early trading this morning. We’ve done very well for ourselves trading options contracts on each of these plays, and will be looking for more of the same as these current uptrends play out.

As far as TWTR is concerned, the next key resistance is sitting at 42.50, and our current scope of interest in Call options rests in the $39-$41 range. Should TWTR gain further ground as trading opens up for the week, those contracts could see an appreciable rise in value in just a short time. (Earnings Release Date: 07/29)

FB’s key area of resistance is around 68.50, and we’re interested in Calls at the $67-69 level. FB earnings will come sooner that TWTR’s by almost a week, with the announcement just 9 days away, so we’ll really want to keep a close eye on the action here. (Earnings Release Date: 07/23)

Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc. SWET

SWET first appeared in our reports on June 13th, at which time we designated it a stock that was due for a pop, and that’s exactly what we got out of it. The stock rushed upward from our observed low of .0185 to hit .032 (+73%) a week ago. After a slight consolidation and finding of support at .0226, the stock has begun to inch up toward the .03-mark once again. To get there, we’ll need to see a break of resistance at Friday’s swing high of .0291.

This morning’s news could be of help, with the announcement of up to $100M in additional funding hitting press wires:

Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc. Agrees to Accept up to $100 Million Additional Financing from Arizona Alternative Energy Center, LLC for San Luis, Arizona Tower
