Blue Horseshoe Stocks: UURAF Update & More

Ucore Rare Metals, Inc. UURAF – Update

We wanted to return to UURAF today, a company we covered last month, which is in the process of designing and building a rare earth material extraction facility near Ketchikan, Alaska which it believes could help the US end its dependency on China for rare earths.

UURAF’s Bokan – Dotson Ridge rare earth property is considered as having some of the richest deposits of rare earth materials in North America, and is so promising that the Alaskan government pledged a $145M funding package to assist in development of the property, including $30M for the new processing facility.

A few weeks ago, the company announced it would be executing a private placement to help cover general expenses as it continues to develop the Bokan property, and just yesterday, we saw that the company has completed the first portion of that deal, quickly making good on its earlier statement:

HALIFAX, Nova Scotia, June 11, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Ucore Rare Metals Inc. (TSXV:UCU) (OTCQX:UURAF) is pleased to announce that further to its news release dated May 23, 2018, the Company has successfully closed the first tranche of its non-brokered private placement by issuing 6,344,074 units at a subscription price of $0.18 per Unit for gross proceeds of approximately $1,142,000. Tesla, Inc. TSLA – Options Idea

TSLA stock is getting a jolt after KeyBanc analysts predicted as much as a 50% rise in Tesla Model 3 deliveries, and as is the case whenever something causes a stir on the chart, we are going to be looking to take advantage of the situation using some weekly options ideas.

For TSLA, which just recently cracked through its 200DMA, we are going to be looking to the TSLA Weekly 337.50-347.50 Calls for potential quick-strike trades.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TSLA Review & More

Tesla, Inc. TSLA – Recap

Our fresh options idea for the day yesterday morning was a range of puts in the TSLA  chain, on the heels of its poorly-received earnings call. What resulted, as the stock began the session under duress, were some very nice opportunities for us before lunchtime.

Our designated range was the TSLA Weekly $285-277.50 Puts and we happily observed the following solid moves:

$285 Calls – Range: 4.95-10.74 – Max Gain: 117%
$282.50 Calls – Range: 3.92-8.90 – Max Gain: 127%
$280 Calls – Range: 2.94-7.21 – Max Gain: 145%
$277.50 Calls – Range: 2.30-5.78 – Max Gain: 151%

Potential Bottom Plays

Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. ESPR – We like the look of the ESPR chart for a potential extended recovery play. As you can see on the chart the stock has been in quite a bit of trouble over the past few sessions, losing roughly half of its previous value in a matter of just a few days. We’re always looking for heavily oversold stocks in line for the chance at a big rebound.

________

Iconix Brand Group, Inc. ICON – We also want to add this one to our watchlist. The stock has been pushed way down amid an SEC investigation concerning ICON and a famous partner of the company, award-winning recording artist Jay-Z, and his Rocawear brand.

As you can see below, in addition to a more steady backslide that dates back much further, the stock has really gone into free fall in recent sessions, resulting in a scenario that could produce a significant rebound, which we’ll want to be looking for.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Ideas & More

Options Ideas

Tesla Inc. TSLA- With TSLA recently finding support after a month-long overall downtrend, and its earnings report coming up this afternoon post-market, we’re going to want to signal a few options contracts for observation.

A bullish head start yesterday may help the stock continue to run into earnings, and could turn the TSLA  Weekly $330-337.50 Calls into premium targets as we head into the end of the week.

_____

Allergan plc AGN – Despite posting a Q3 loss, AGN beat expectations, and did see an 11.4% hike in quarter-over-quarter revenues. Combined with the fact that the stock has just come off of a new 52-week low, and it makes us very interested in this as a potential recovery play.

Accordingly, we are going to put the AGN Weekly $175-180 Calls on watch for the remainder of the week, and depending on how the activity shakes out, we may want to look out to next week’s contracts if it appears a more protracted rebound is in the cards. We’ll revisit that possibility later in the week if necessary.

Apptio, Inc. APTI

We also want to provide a quick performance update on APTI, which we included in yesterday’s premarket report.

It wasn’t a blockbuster day by any means, but it did manage to rise from a low of 20.57 to as much as 24.47. That’s a 19% intraday increase, and a very respectable single-session gain for a stock that started out above $20 to begin with. It made the move on more than thirteen times the monthly average volume, so we’ll definitely let this one keep its slot on our watchlists for the time being.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: USRM, TSLA Updates & More

U.S. Stem Cell, Inc. USRM

On Wednesday morning, we followed up with USRM after tracking it over a 289% rip subsequent to our alert on the play on February 27th. The stock had come down quite a bit off of those highs, and started to take on the appearance of a possible bottom-play. We mentioned the need to “return to monitoring this play more closely on the chance that it could be gearing up for another run.

It did find its bottom and it most certainly was gearing up for another run, which took up the entirety of yesterday’s session. The stock traded in a range from .0181 to .03, for a solid intraday rip of 66%, nearly all of which was held into a strong close .0289.

That type of blatantly bullish activity warrants continued close observation of USRM as we close out the week.

Tesla, Inc. TSLA – Options Update

Just yesterday, we identified TSLA as being ripe for a recovery, citing the TSLA 04/07 $270-277.50 Calls as our targets of interest. It was another solid options trading idea for us, with every single set of contracts in the range providing opportunities for solid single-session gains.

$270 Calls – Range: 3.37-6.65 – Max Gain: 97%
$272.50 Calls – Range: 2.77-5.35 – Max Gain: 93%
$275 Calls – Range: 2.52-4.70 – Max Gain: 87%
$277.50 Calls – Range: 1.93-3.85 – Max Gain: 99%

We also could see more bullish activity out of these plays, which we chose to hopefully take advantage of a more extended-term recovery for TSLA.

Fresh Options Ideas:

We’re  looking to ABDE on the heels of an earnings neat, and will be after some potential quick-strike gains out of the ADBE Weekly $125 and $130 Calls*.

After trending down a bit over the past week, SNAP has received an analyst downgrade, so we’ll want to radar the SNAP Weekly $20 Puts* today for potential intraday swing trades.

*DO NOT trade weekly options on a Friday unless you’re a highly experienced trader!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: JNUG Recap & Much More

Direxion Daily Jr Gld Mnrs Bull 3X ETF  (JNUG) – Recap

Despite only providing a fleeting opportunity for gains on Tuesday morning after we submitted our options trading idea for the JNUG chain, we followed up with a reminder in yesterday’s report that the idea was still in play, and that we’d need to keep our heads on a swivel looking out for the move we were hoping for.

With the help of a Fed rate hike of a quarter of a percentage point, announced by Chairperson Janet Yellen yesterday, our specified contracts, the JNUG 03/31 $7-8 Calls took a serious turn for the better.

The daily ranges and potential profits were as follows:

$7 Calls – Range: .40-1.40 – Max Gain: 250%
$7.50 Calls – Range: .35-1.00 – Max Gain: 186%
$8 Calls – Range: .20-.87 – Max Gain: 335%

Once again, we’re going to reiterate our interest in these ideas, which could be in line to extend their highs, with JNUG gapping up in early trading this morning.

Aralez Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ARLZ

We placed ARLZ on bottom watch yesterday morning in what turned out to be a fantastic stroke of good timing. We just wanted to update readers this morning on the reversal which did indeed occur during the session. While the intraday gain potential topped out at 25% as the stock ran from the open (and also low of day) at 2.11 to as much as 2.63.

The inverted hammer candle that the stock posted yesterday is often thought to be an indicator of the end of a downward pattern, so we’ll be very interested to continue tracking ARLZ in sessions to come. Chart indicators are still looking very ripe, and we’d be surprised if the show was over after just a 25% rise.

Cannabis Sector Comments

Lastly, we just want to address the cannabis sector, particularly those stocks that are connected to legal recreational marijuana. After some very damaging comments made recently by the Trump Administration wherein it was suggested that the government could crack down on legal weed, yesterday we witnessed something of a reversal from Jeff Sessions.

Sessions appeared to hint at insufficient DOJ funding as a primary reason that perhaps the current regime will not be changing Obama-era guidance on leaving the treatment of recreational weed as a states’ rights issue.

On the heels of this development, we’re going to want to keep closer tabs on the cannabis sector once again, particularly those plays that lost a lot of ground after the first round of comments from Washington.

Some of our go-to favorites in the space have been OWCP, TRTC, SING, SGDH, CBIS, and MJNA, so we’ll be tracking these more closely in the days and weeks ahead, along with the sector as a whole, as stated above.

Fresh Options Idea:

The TSLA chart is looking ripe for a recovery, and the stock is gapping up moderately in premarket trading this morning. We want to signal a range of calls to monitor in the TSLA chain to potentially take advantage of what could be a protracted recovery. We’re going to zero in on the TSLA 04/07 $270-277.50 Calls, and monitor them in the days and weeks ahead.
