As we’ve already mentioned this week, the landscape for earnings reporters and the subsequent frenzy they produce has been growing thin once again as we head into another quiet period. We won’t let that stop us from rooting out the best ideas we can, and yesterday’s quick-strike play, the DOOO Weekly $70-75 Calls, worked pretty well for us.

Additionally, we signaled a possible longer-term play, the AFG 09/16 $130-132 Calls in a report from a couple of weeks back, which made a noteworthy move we’ve like to review as well.

We can’t remember the last time we had a truly bad day with regard to our potential options trading ideas. It might not have even happened once all year so far, and of course, yesterday was not an exception to that. We continue to knock the vast majority of our daily targets out of the park, and certainly hope that some of our readers have been able to take advantage of the leg-up we try to consistently provide.

Each of the target ranges we set with weekly expirations in yesterday morning’s premarket report yielded clear cut chances for some very nice intraday gains. We were looking at the BABA Weekly $106-109 Calls, the ROKU Weekly $96-97.50 Calls, and the CPB Weekly $46-48 Calls. Here were the single-session gain opportunities they provided to us:

Market Surge Leads to More SPY Opportunities

Our options ideas for yesterday’s session included a range of SPY calls which expire at the end of trading today, and thanks to a huge surge in the markets, not only did those turn out excellent chances for gain yesterday, but given the tenor of things here in the premarket, all the figures you see below for the SPY will make a huge jump today, especially if the Fed’s rate decision comes back as expected this afternoon. SLQT’s Impressive Run Persists & More

SLQT Stock & Options Update:

Just over two weeks ago, in our report from the morning of August 31st, we caught SLQT after a director filed a Form-4 and soaked up shares at at relative bottom. Combined with the right chart setup, that’s the sort of scenario that we’ll always take a chance on, and it paid off for us.

SLQT has been making steady strides toward a recovery nearly every day since then, and our designated options targets, the SLQT 09/17 $7.50-10 Calls, which expire on Friday, have continued their rise. The stock itself has produced a solid move on the chart from a low of 9.19 on the morning of our original alert, to a new high of 14.03 yesterday. That works out to an upswing of 53% in just two weeks’ time.

As far as our highlighted options plays, we’ve already provided multiple updates, and today’s is quite impressive, with the $10’s in particular edging closer and closer to that coveted thousand percent gainer designation.
