More Thousand Percent+ Gainers, New Plays

Options Reviews:

We were feeling mainly bullish about our interests yesterday as we kicked off another trading week and a couple of the sets of calls we were tracking enjoyed a pretty solid session. After initially gapping down to start things off, the markets moved in a positive direction all day long, and made up all the ground that was ceded in premarket trading. That activity helped push our tracked plays to some pretty good intraday movement.

Those runners were the GBX 04/21 $30-35 Calls, and the MU Weekly $60-62 Calls, and we’ll go ahead and list off the daily ranges and total possible gains they registered below. We also have an update on a longer-term set of puts we signaled a couple of Thursdays ago on March 30th, the SMTC 04/21 $26-25 Puts, which have continued to rise as the stock has steadily fallen to new lows. That has resulted in some absolutely massive moves in the pair of targets we’ve been tracking, and you’ll find those moves below as well.

GBX 04/21 $30-35 Calls
$30:
 2.50-3.60 (+44%)
$35: .34-.79 (+132%)
_____

MU Weekly $60-62 Calls
$60: 1.99-3.90 (+96%)
$61: 1.39-3.10 (+123%)
$62: .76-2.34 (+208%)
_____

SMTC 04/21 $26-25 Puts

Thousand Percent+ Gainer, Fresh Ideas

04/21 Options Reviews:

In recent weeks we have been tagging several longer-term options plays with an April 21st expiration as opposed to weeklies, and today we wanted to circle back for some of those which posted new highs for us during yesterday’s session.

We’ll start off with the DOMO 04/21 $15 Calls, which just appeared in yesterday morning’s report, and opened up with a solid first day effort as it ran from .65-1.00, for an intraday upswing of 54%

Next up we’ve got the MKC 04/21 $75-80 Calls and the SMTC 04/21 $26-25 Puts which we initially flagged in our reports from last Tuesday, and last Thursday morning, respectively. The breakdown of the moves they’ve made since last week is as follows, and as you can see, those SMTC Puts easily breached the thousand percent gain barrier in what has been one of our hottest recent ideas:

MKC 04/21 $75-80 Calls
$75: 4.80-10.32 (+115%)
$80: 1.40-5.40 (+286%)
_____

SMTC 04/21 $26-25 Puts
$26:
 .20-3.40 (+1600%)
$25: .21-3.09 (+1371%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SMPL 04/21 $40-35 Puts
DLO 04/21 $16-15 Puts

Hypercharge Networks Corp. HCNWF – OTC Recap:

We also wanted to recap the performance of an OTC stock we tagged in yesterday morning’s report. HCNWF went on a very nice intraday run from a low of .685 on up to a high of 1.58, which works out to a highly respectable single session rise of 131%

Wednesday’s Options Perfection, Fresh Ideas

Another Clean Sweep on Options:

We really came through on the four options ideas we put on watch in yesterday morning’s premarket report. We had three earnings-related plays as well as some targets in the daily SPY, and witnessed some very nice activity out of our entire board. That leaves the number of unsuccessful options picks we’ve made this week at exactly one, with literally everything else we’ve mentioned providing some serious chances for quick profits.

Yesterday’s winning targets were the PAYX 04/21 $115 Calls, the LULU Weekly $367.50-372.50 Calls, the MU Weekly $59-61 Calls, and the SPY 03/29 $397-398 Calls, and here are the sorts of gains they provided for ourselves and our readers on the day:

PAYX 04/21 $115 Calls
$115:
 .75-3.80 (+407%)
_____

LULU Weekly $367.50-372.50 Calls
$367.50: 3.30-8.24 (+150%)
$370: 3.04-6.90 (+127%)
$372.50: 2.30-5.75 (+150%)
_____

MU Weekly $59-61 Calls
$59:
 2.78-5.55 (+99%)
$60: 2.23-4.70 (+111%)
$61: 1.60-3.80 (+138%)
_____

SPY 03/29 $397-398 Calls
$397:
 2.17-4.58 (+111%)
$398: 1.43-3.62 (+153%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
SMTC 04/21 $26-25 Puts
RH Weekly $235-230 Puts
SPY 03/30 $401-402 Calls*

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: OCRX Recap, Options & More

Ocera Therapeutics, Inc. OCRX

We noticed OCRX gapping up off of its bottom yesterday in the premarket, relaying that fact along to our readers in our morning report. The stock had a major gap to fill to the upside leading into yesterday’s session which we pointed out with a chart snapshot, and the excellent intraday run that ensued made some good headway in terms of filling a portion of that gap.

The stock traded in a range from .77 to 1.15 yesterday, for an intraday rise amounting to 49% and did so on immense volume to the tune of roughly 15X the 30-day average.

This morning in premarket trading we’re seeing another gap-up, trading as high as 1.37 so far. We’ll need to keep our eyes peeled right from the starting gun this morning as another bullish session could be forthcoming. We’re going to want to see yesterday’s closing value of 1.10 hold as support on any pullbacks in order to sustain our immediate interest.

e.l.f Beauty, Inc. ELF – Options Idea

We caught ELF on the heels of a strong earnings report wherein healthy beats on both earnings and revenues were announced. The stock is gapping up in premarket trading today, having breached the $30-mark with an early high of 30.99.

We always like a good post-earnings options idea so we’re going to formulate one that we can follow for the remainder of this week and into the next. We will be tracking the three sets of contracts in the range of ELF 03/17 $25-35 Calls over the next few sessions for potential quick strike trades.

Northern Dynasty Minerals. Ltd. NAK

We highlighted NAK in yesterday’s watchlist after noticing the stock had been trending steadily downward toward its 200DMA. We banked on the hunch that it would find support around that area, and were essentially spot-on in assuming a reversal was in the cards.

The stock underwent a classic dip-and-rip pattern, trading in a range from 1.08-1.34 for a modest intraday upswing of 24% While it didn’t blow our socks off on the first day, we still believe that serious upside potential exists for NAK from its current standing. All indicators are pointing to the strong possibility of this stock returning to the 2.00-level or better in the near future.

Additionally, a hike in the federal interest rates, which many expect as soon as this month, could have a positive impact on precious metal plays like this one, so it will be interesting to see what lays in store for NAK.
