Tuesday’s Results, 4 Fresh Plays

Tuesday’s Winners:

We cast a pretty wide net for options ideas in yesterday’s premarket report and the results were not disappointing. All five of our target ranges produced varying degrees of positive intraday movement ranging from just over 50% to well over 1200% All in all in was quite an interesting session, as has been the case all week with so many earnings plays on the calendar.

We were looking at the PM Weekly $175-172.50 Puts, the LMT Weekly $427.50-422.50 Puts, the NOC 08/15 $525-535 Calls, the MEDP 08/15 $430-440 Calls, and the NXPI 08/15 $220-210 Puts. Here were the best intraday upswings those targets exhibited:

We kicked things off for our week on Tuesday in fairly strong fashion, with both of the potential options plays we formulated for our premarket report, exhibiting solid upswings on the session. We had just a pair, but they both worked out well, to varying degrees.

We had the JBL Weekly $185 Calls, and the LEN Weekly $111-112 Calls and here were the runs they produced:

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TSLA Rebound & More

Tesla, Inc. TSLA

We’re looikng at TSLA from a purely technical perspective, not paying much mind to the company’s reduction in standard available vehicle colors to simplify production, especially since the removed colors are still available at a small added cost.

The stock has recently shown signs of a bottom-bounce, and we’re going to want to be ready with some options trading possibilities if it can mount a reasonable rebound. We’re going to put the TSLA 10/06 $285-290 Calls on watch in the days and weeks ahead.

Tilray Inc. TLRY

We also wanted to backtrack a tad to our summer coverage of TLRY. We tagged this stock in our watchlist several times between July 20th and the present. Our observed low was at 21.50, and in an incredible multi-week run, the stock subsequently reached a high of 97.36! That’s an eye popping 353% which, for that to occur in a $20+ stock in roughly six weeks time is practically unheard-of!

To provide another related idea going forward, we’re going to begin tracking the TLRY 09/21 $91-93 Calls in forthcoming sessions.

Apple, Inc. AAPL – Options Followup

Only seven trading days have elapsed since we slated some longer-term Apple options ideas for observation on the 1st of this month. We were looking at the AAPL 06/01 $167.50 & $170 Calls and we’re pleased to return just over a week later to report that AAPL has mounted a heck of a seven day upswing, facilitating some fantastic gains in our flagged contracts.

So far the $167.50’s have traded in a range from 4.36-19.98, an increase of 358%, while the $170’s exploded 435% from 3.30 to 17.64.

Trip Advisor, Inc. TRIP Weekly $45.50 & $46 Calls

We also had some fresh options ideas in yesterday’s morning report, the TRIP Weekly $45.50 & $46 Calls. What we got from those, was a highly respectable intraday performance.

The $45.50 Calls surged up from .85-2.30 for a single-session rip of 170%, and the $46’s ran from 1.35-2.77, a 105% pop.

Helios & Matheson Analytics, Inc. HMNY

We want to place HMNY on intensive bottom watch this morning after noticing the setup on the chart. The stock has been absolutely punished over the past couple of trading days, and as you can see below, the RSI is now in heavily oversold territory.

The last time the stock was this oversold, at the beginning of April, it recorded an upswing of over 100% so we’ll want to keep an eye on its activities. at least for the remainder of the week, and possibly longer.

Options Recap – We cast a pretty wide net with respect to options ideas in the retail sector in our premarket report yesterday morning, and our efforts didn’t go unrewarded. Both EXPR and AEO provided us with some nice chances.

Express, Inc. EXPR – We were tracking the EXPR 09/15 $6 & $7 Calls. The $6’s traded in a range from .45 -.92 for a gain of 104%, while the $7’s logged an even 100% double-bag run from .15-.30.

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. AEO – For American Eagle, we were looking at the AEO Weekly $12 & 12.50 Calls. The $12’s recorded our biggest options gainer of the day with a 212% move from .08-.25, and the $12.50’s were another even 100% push , trading from .05-.10 on the day.

More Ideas – We’ll keep the post-earnings retail options train rolling today with two fresh sets of ideas using the Abercrombie & Fitch Co. ANF and Dollar Tree, Inc. DLTR chains. We’ll have the ANF Weekly $10 & $11 Calls, and the DLTR Weekly $78-82 Calls on watch as we head into week’s end.

Rimrock Gold Corp . RMRK

We included RMRK in yesterday morning’s premarket report, after noticing some abnormal activity building up in the previous session.

It was a good thing that we did, because yesterday’s performance from the stock was explosive. It traded in a range from .0006 to .0025 on the day, for a fantastic single-session rip of 316%

The move occurred on volume of more than 1.8 billion shares traded; an all-time high for RMRK.
