Monday’s Movers, Tuesday’s Fresh Plays

Solid Movers from Monday:

We fared pretty well yesterday with the daily options trading ideas we had included in our premarket report, with only one out of seven actual target contract sets failing to produce significant intraday movement. While the potential gains weren’t exactly earth shattering by our own standards, there was still one opportunity at double bag gains in each of the options chains we were tracking.

Those targets were the CIEN 03/17 $55 Calls, the AAPL Weekly $150-155 Calls, and the EMR Weekly $85-87 Calls, and here’s how their daily performances shook out for us, in what was a decent start to the week:

CIEN 03/17 $55 Calls
$55:
 .20-.50 (+150%)
_____

AAPL Weekly $150-155 Calls
$150: 4.34-6.37 (+47%)
$152.50: 2.61-4.55 (+74%)
$155: 1.21-2.77 (+129%)
_____

EMR Weekly $85-87 Calls
$85: 2.29-3.21 (+40%)
$87: .79-1.65 (+109%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
DKS Weekly $137-140 Calls
SE Weekly $69-71 Calls
SQSP 03/17 $25-30 Calls
DISH 04/06 $10-11 Calls

American Battery Technology Co. ABML – OTC Recap:

We first began highlighting ABML a couple of months back on January 31st. Over that time span, this OTC play has made some pretty good progress, running from .58-1.42 subsequent to that initial alert. That represents an increase of 145%

Kicking Off a Potential-Filled Trading Week

Hydrofarm Holdings Group, Inc. HYFM – Options Update:

As a result of the relatively dry period for earnings (which will finally clear up starting next week) we’ve been formulating a lot of longer-term ideas on stocks with good technical setups. A couple of Monday’s ago, on the morning of September 27th, we signaled the HYFM 11/19 $35-40 Calls.

The stock itself saw its lows shortly thereafter, and for the past week, has been making incremental gains which have begun to produce the sort of activity that we were hoping to see.

Here are the ranges and percentage increases we’ve observed so far. With over a month still remaining prior to expiration, we wouldn’t be surprised to have to return to this one later to report further gains:

HYFM 11/19 $35-40 Calls
$35: 4.21-5.92 (+41%)
$40: 1.90-3.30 (+74%)
_____

Fresh Options Ideas:
TAL Weekly $4.50-5.00 Calls
GM Weekly $58-59 Calls

Priority Aviation, Inc. PJET – Recap:

Another play we signaled interest in toward the end of last month was PJET, which appeared in our report on the morning of September 30th, and the ensuing volatility did not disappoint.

This stock underwent a distinct dip-and-rip following our mention, going as low as .0125, before running back to .0235, for an upswing of 88% A break past .0244 this week, would put PJET into blue skies, so we’ll reserve a slot on our watchlists for it in upcoming sessions.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Updates, Special Reminder

Connexus Corp. CNXS

We tagged CNXS in a bitcoin-related watchlist in Thursday’s premarket report, and the stock finished out the week on an extremely high note. From our observed low on Thursday, it made a fantastic two-day swing for us.

CNXS traded up from .0007, cracked through from super-subpenny to subpenny range, and hit a high of .0017, a 143% move which occurred on heavy volume.

We weren’t very surprised to see some nice plays come out of that watchlist, as bitcoin stocks are trending considerably at present.

Viva Entertainment Group, Inc. OTTV

Speaking of super-subpenny plays, from Friday’s extended watchlist came OTTV, a stock which hasn’t been trading too far above its 52-week lows recently.

We saw a solid run from OTTV on our first day of observation with the stock trading up from .0004- to .0007 for an intraday rip of 75% on slightly greater-than-average volume.

Big Lots, Inc. BIG – Options Update

Before breaking for the long weekend we wanted to try to continue a pattern of post-earnings options trading success we’ve had this spring. We did so with the BIG 06/16 $55 & 57.50 Calls, and were very pleased at those contracts’ performances for our first day of tracking.

The $55’s put up a fantastic run from .02-.10 for a 400% banger on the day, while the $57.50’s made a nice round double-bagger trading from .05 to .10 on the day. With more than two weeks still remaining until expiration, we’ll continue to keep watch over these plays.
