Friday’s Big Runners, 3 Fresh Ideas

Friday’s Runners:

We cast a pretty wide net on Friday, offering up a large slate of five potential daytrading targets for our premarket report, and we ended up seeing some pretty decent opportunities come from that group. With the exception of a lackluster performance from the SPY calls as the markets fell hard early in the day, everything else we targeted recorded big time intraday runs.

We had the SPY 09/05 $649-651 Calls, the AVGO Weekly $342.50-347.50 Calls, the LULU Weekly $170-165 Puts, the DOCU Weekly $81-83 Calls, the GWRE 09/19 $250 Calls. These were the best moves of the session for each of those ideas:

It’s been a pretty good week for all all things considered, so we’ll be anxious to try to end it on a high note today.

It was a fairly muted session to end last week’s short week. We didn’t have any options reporters to work off of, and just included some quick strike SPY ideas and a couple longer-term watchlist items in our premarket report. While the SPY targets did yield some good intraday opportunities, the results from the other two were lackluster and need more time to mature over the next few weeks.

Our positive movers from Friday were the SPY 12/27 $598-599 Calls, and the UNH 01/17 $510-515 Calls, which recorded the following figures:

Reviewing Tuesday’s Runners, 4 New Potential Plays

Recap of Tuesday’s Movers:

We had another good outing on Tuesday, having set up yesterday’s premarket report with three options trading possibilities, and seeing some pretty nice intraday upswings from those plays. We were certainly on the right side of the fence with our SPY Calls, as the S&P once again hit fresh record highs.

Our precise targets for Tuesday were the TSLA Weekly $252.50-255 Calls, the THO 10/18 $100 Puts, and the SPY 09/24 $569 Calls. We saw these possible profits out of those plays:

Friday’s Rippers, 3 New Ideas

Fantastic Friday Finish:

Things really could not have gone much better for us on Friday to close out the short trading week. We had highlighted potential options plays in three chains and got awfully good results from each of the posted ideas in our premarket report for the day. Our 2024 calendar year has been exceptional thus far, with very nearly everything we touch turning to potential gold.

The ideas that we had hashed out for Friday’s session were the SPY 01/19 $478-480 Calls, the TRV Weekly $200-210 Calls, and the SLB Weekly $48-49 Calls, and here were the intraday upswings each of those contract sets recorded on the day:

We also have an update for the longer-term SAVE Calls that we initially highlighted as a possible recovery play in our report this past Wednesday morning. Essentially the stock performed exactly as we said we believed it would, coming down a little lower before bouncing back, and giving us the kind of gains we were looking for. We might have expected it to take slightly longer than it did, but our vision came to fruition by the end of what was a really great short trading week.
