Hugely Successful Week for Options

Options Review

After considerable options success earlier in the week, we doubled down on a couple of our mid-week ideas in TGT and CGC, adding higher strike ranges to keep an eye on. In both cases, our updated ideas from yesterday morning’s premarket report yielded significant intraday gain opportunities.

We highlighted the TGT Weekly $126-128 Calls, which came up with the following intraday moves:

$126 Calls – Range: .80-2.06  – Max Gain: 157%
$127 Calls – Range: .52-1.31 – Max Gain: 152%
$128 Calls – Range: .27-.73  – Max Gain: 170%

_____

The updated highs on our targets from Wednesday on the CGC Weekly $15.50-16.50 Calls were considerably greater than the previous session:

$15.50 Calls – Range: .43-5.57 – Max Gain: 1195%
$16 Calls – Range: .36-5.50 – Max Gain: 1427%
$16.50 Calls – Range: .35-4.85  – Max Gain: 1286%

Our updated ideas, the CGC Weekly $18-18.50 Calls also put up impressive multi-bag performances on the day:

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: More Options Ideas

BioMarin Pharmaceutical, Inc. BMRN

BioMarin had a really solid performance yesterday after we signaled some contracts in our premarket report, the BMRN 03/16 $80 & 85 Calls. The stock ran from 81.01 to 84.19 facilitating some modest but solid intraday moves in our contracts.

The $80 Calls ran from 4.40-6.00 for a 32% rise, and the $85’s traded from 2.70-3.50, a gain of 26%

With a strong close at 83.28, and a lot of ground to cover to recoup the losses the stock has seen in the month of February, we’ll look for BMRN to establish a more sustained recovery pattern, and we may see some further increases in these contracts, which still have over a month until expiration.

Under Armour, Inc. UAA

We want to formulate an idea for Under Armour on the heels of the company’s earnings report this morning. The stock had already begun to trend off of its bottom a few sessions ago, and despite posting a Q4 loss, sales were better than expected and the stock is gapping up pretty significantly here in the premarket.

We’re going to want to keep tabs on the UAA Weekly $15.50-16.50 Calls, which could bring us sizable gain opportunities in the day or days to come.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DAL Options Win & More

Delta Air Lines, Inc. DAL

Things played out precisely as we expected with Delta yesterday. We specifically mentioned that DAL “has traditionally been one of those companies we can count on to provide good post-earnings opportunities”, and after a solid beat across the board, our ideas definitely paid off instantly.

Our targets, the DAL Weekly $57-58 Calls, went into overdrive as the stock itself executed a textbook dip-and-rip pattern, and provided us with the excellent chances for gains that we were after.

$57 Calls – Range: .24-2.13 – Max Gain: 787%
$57.50 Calls – Range: .14-1.70 – Max Gain: 1114%
$58 Calls – Range: .06-1.25 – Max Gain: 1983%

Eastman Kodak Co. KODK

We also wanted to update the options ideas we had for KODK on Wednesday. The company saw a surge after announcing its own unique crypto-coin, but we weren’t buying it. We signaled the KODK 02/16 $15 & $12.50 Puts.

While the gains weren’t monumental, they were solid enough, as KODK has since posted two consecutive sessions of freefall. The $15 Puts traded from 6.10-7.90 for a 30% rise, while the $12.50 Puts ran from 4.20 to 5.70, a gain of 36%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Multiple Updates

FutureLand Corp. FUTL

After already showing us a multi-bag swing from our initial alert on Friday to new highs on Monday, FUTL put up another solid performance yesterday. The stock traded in an intraday range from .0024 in the morning, and edged it way up all day to hit a new high of .0037 shortly before 2PM. That works out to a 54% push on the day, accompanied by roughly six times the monthly average volume.  .

From our observed low of .0012 on Friday, the stock has now managed a three-session swing amounting to 308% and will hold our interest as long as it continues to register higher base levels of support.

Apple, Inc. AAPL  – Options Recap

We figured to take advantage for the hype surrounding Apple for its big iPhone 8/X event, and there was enough price action and volatility throughout the day so as to present two separate opportunities for intraday swing trades.

We were looking at the AAPL Weekly $160 & $162.50 Calls, each of which exhibited the same pattern of an early run, followed by a dip-and-rip for a secondary move in the afternoon.

The $160’s first ran from 2.44-4.58 (+88%), and then from 1.07-1.98 (+85%), while the $162.50’s traded from 1.29-2.77 (+115%) initially, followed by a later move from .45-.80 (+78%). All in all, some nice activity for our first AAPL calls in quite some time.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. CBRL

Drawing us to CBRL this morning is a solid setup on the chart with the stock having recently reversed off of a bottom, in conjuction with a premarket earnings beat.  This is just the sort of scenario we’re always scanning for, and in this instance, we’re going to formulate both a shorter and longer-term options idea.

We’re going to place the CBRL Weekly $150 & 151.50 Calls as well as the 10/20 $155 Calls on watch in the days and week ahead.

Honorable Mentions:

Forterra, Inc. FRTA – After tagging FRTA in Friday’s premarket report, we’ve seen a pretty nice uptrend from the stock. It’s traded up from 3.66 to 5.25, a move of 43% We’ll want to continue to monitor its activity as we head through midweek.

Quotient Ltd. QTNT – We had QTNT in yesterday’s watchlist, and want to continue to track it after it made a similar move.  Also from a low of 3.66, QTNT saw a subsequent high of 5.14, which comes out to an intraday pop of 40%
