Recapping Wednesday’s Movers, 3 New Targets

Wednesday’s Winners:

We fared decently on Wednesday, with two-thirds of our potential options ideas stemming from earnings in our premarket report registering solid intraday moves in a positive direction. Given that we typically rely upon big name companies dropping their earnings report for the bulk of our interests, things have gotten slightly thin this week. From the looks of the earnings calendar, this earnings dry period should persist only until the last week of this month.

As for yesterday’s movers, we had the CALM 04/19 $60-65 Calls, and the PLAY 04/19 $65-70 Calls, both produce some good intraday opportunities. Here’s how their sessions played out:

CALM 04/19 $60-65 Calls
$60
: 2.35-3.70 (+57%)
$62.50: 1.30-2.10 (+61%)
$65: .55-1.10 (+100%)
_____

PLAY 04/19 $65-70 Calls
$65: 3.30-5.90 (+79%)
$70: 1.05-2.80 (+167%)

Fresh Options Ideas:
LEVI 04/19 $20-21 Calls
CAG Weekly $30-31 Calls
MNMD 04/19 $12 Calls

Friday Recap, Fresh Options Ideas

Friday’s Movers:

We got along quite well as we closed out the short trading week on Friday with a slate of four possible options plays, and saw gains ranging from good to great in three of those four targets. The markets got off to a bullish start, and after lunch hour, reversed track and fell into the close. That provided plenty of intraday activity to facilitate some very nice upswings in our daily targets.

We had the BABA Weekly $85-87 Calls, the RIVN Weekly $21.50-22.50 Calls, and the LEVI 07/21 $14-13 Puts all come through with the following intraday runs:

BABA Weekly $85-87 Calls
$85:
 1.60-6.50 (+306%)
$86: .99-5.50 (+456%)
$87: .57-4.55 (+698%)
_____

RIVN Weekly $21.50-22.50 Calls
$21.50:
 1.21-4.10 (+239%)
$22: .84-3.60 (+328%)
$22.50: .55-3.00 (+445%)
_____

LEVI 07/21 $14-13 Puts
$14: .55-.91 (+65%)
$13: .15-.25 (+67%)

LIN 07/21 $360-370 Calls

Gorilla Technology Group Inc. (NASDAQ:GRRR)

Wrapping Up the Short Trading Week with New Ideas

Options Reviews:

In an extremely rare occurrence, neither of the targets we were looking at in yesterday’s report turned in worthwhile performances on the day. We really can’t recall the last time that happened, if ever, but as we always say, nobody can win them all. Instead of reviewing those, we have updates on a handful of longer term plays that we’ve recently flagged.

We initially selected the PDCO 07/21 $31-33 Calls in our report on June 21st, the KBH 07/21 $50 Puts in the following day’s report, and the PAYX 07/21 $110-115 Calls on the morning of June 29th. Here are the figures on the upswings and new highs we’ve seen from these plays this week.

PDCO 07/21 $31-33 Calls
$31: .15-2.35 (+1467%)
$32: .10-1.50 (+1400%)

$50: .08-2.05 (+2462%)
_____

PAYX 07/21 $110-115 Calls
$110:

Thursday’s Runners, Fresh Plays

Recapping Thursday’s Winners:

We’re ready to jump back into the swing of things here on this Monday morning, but first, we’ll backtrack to the end of the short trading week on Thursday and take a look at what our daily interests were able to accomplish. In our premarket report, we had signaled a group of four ideas that we felt had reasonable potential for the session, and fared pretty well in each case.

Our targets were the STZ Weekly $220-225 Calls, the LEVI 04/21 $18 Puts, the LW 04/21 $105 Calls, and the BA 05/05 $220-210 Puts, and with the exception of the BA $220’s which were too far in the money to see a good move, every one of our tracked contract sets recorded a nice intraday run. Here’s the breakdown of those figures:

STZ Weekly $220-225 Calls
$220:
 4.64-6.50 (+40%)
$222.50: 2.90-5.50 (+90%)
